“BEST ITALIAN FOOD, BEST SERVICE, BEST in CONNECTICUT” The owner and server are from Italy and both accommodating and pleasant. The food was tasty, -old style Italian dishes. We were offered homemade Limoncello or Amaretto at the end of the meal, on the house. There was no rushing here, just a relaxed atmosphere with fine food. I will look forward to another visit there.

It is what it is....homestyle cooking,huge portions ,unbelievably friendly service. Thats why hes been in business so long. He treats people with respect and appreciates their business. Hard to find now a days. Real soul food. If you want white linen table clothes dont come here. Friendly down to earth people and good your momma makes is what you get here.

Relaxing Atmosphere, Smaller venue. Very attentive and helpful server. Very good wines by the glass, and by the bottle Im sure. Interesting menu items. Baratta Salad was great. Steak au Poive was cooked to perfection. Sides were included with entree and available as additional choices too. What a great meal and great overall experience. I left happy.

We all had big boy steaks (strips)and they were all excellent and cooked exactly as we ordered. Sides were also excellent (baked potatoes, mushrooms, wedge salad). Service was attentive, but not pushy. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and no where near as expensive as it would have been in NY.

“Old TIME New York City Steakhouse” If have eaten at Peter Lugers, or The Pen & Pencil, or Smith & Wollensky then Josephs is that club type atmosphere.Male wait staff, wainscotting walls,and al a carte priciing. A house salad with a steakhouse dressing to die for , thick steaks and chops grilled to perfection .

I used to go there when I was a young girl... I RECENTLYwent back for lunch since I was in the area and I was completly diassapointed... The potatoes well still hard not cooked all the way ...the rice had no flavor as well as the chicken...never again ...and a bit pricey for the food that wasnt worth it

Our office went to lunch here for the holiday. The interior was decorated nicely for the holidays. The service on the phone was terrific and recommendations were made on how to make the event the best time spent. The reservation was ready on time and the service was terrific. Everyone loved the dishes.

Went to this restaurant for our wedding anniversary and thought we would have a great dinner and get good service--NOT! The food was O.K. but the steak and creamed spinach were just average and not worth the price. I have had much better steak dinners at Outback.
