I honestly cannot understand the good reviews for the food at Everest. Then again, this is Boulder county where big box chain crap factories stay in business. I ordered from Everest for the first time last night. I am still paying for it. The chicken tikka masala was a greasy, congealed glop with no flavor. It was like the cooks used pork lard or crisco rather than ghee. The badami chicken tikka had flavor...carbon. It was burn to a crisp. The rice: Who can ruin rice? Everest restaurant. It was tasteless. It lacked cardamon, cumin, garlic, onion or tumeric. The only flavor was from some anemic looking peas thrown on top. The worst part? It was cooked to a consistency of clumps. There were huge clumps of rice throughout. The garlic naan was soft, but it lacked any flavor. Ive eaten Indian food all over the world: India, Turkey, Ireland, Australia and here. I know Indian food. This was not Indian food. It was not even Pakistani. I would not even classify it as food. Whoever cooked it should be ashamed. I usually order from Flavor of India, but decided to give Everest a try. I regret that decision. I have, however, strengthened my belief that people in Boulder county have absolutely no sense when it comes to food. Save yourself regret, save your self from nausea and heartburn and avoid Everest like the plague.

Me and my wife had been to Everest before few times for buffet but my last experience was the worst. If you want to get robbed, go to Everest for dinner. We are from India and we know fully well what taste and portion sizes Indian and Nepali food should be served. Where do I start? 1) Ordered a fish appetizer which costs $5.95. They gave a small dish of 5 dime shaped fish pieces that smelled raw and uncooked 2) Ordered Chicken Korma which costs $11.95. I counted there were 5 sugar-cube pieces of chicken of breast meat and the total serving was less than a lunch portion 3) They did not serve the basmati rice with chicken. On asking they said that "since you have ordered Biryani which is another rice dish, we thought that you do not need the basmati rice". REALLY???? 4) Ordered Lasuni naan which is supposed to be bread with garlic pieces in it. Well, they gratified us by serving plain naan. 5) Chicken Biryani has few pieces of chicken and you have to ask them for raita I will advise everyone to avoid this place. The behavior is rude and they assume that you will have to ask for everything instead of them. Hate it

My first time having this type of food, my wife and youngest and I really enjoyed it. Our meals were served family style which is great as we love to share when eating at a new place! Our waiter was great, he even have us some insight on what is normally eaten in Napal and selected all our food for us because really we were clueless. The only bad part was the quantity of food for the price didnt line up. If it was a higher end environment in a nicer part of town with this food quantity or just more food. That being said we will be back a few times a year anyway, I will need to explore more of this menu!

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Colorado! The food is amazingly tasty. They are happy to adjust menu items for food allergies, dietary restrictions & personal taste. Dont be shy about asking for something if you dont see it on the menu. Im a gluten free vegan and especially love the Veggie Thali, veg soup, onion Bhaji & veggie pakora. Best of all, the owners and staff are just lovely, delightful people. Remember to ask for the frequent diner card & get your 9th meal for free! #yum #Indianfood #vegan #vegetarian #glutenfree #Longmont #Colorado

Things have obviously changed since the bad reviews from a year ago. This is some of the best Indian food you can get in Colorado. I have taken several friends and all have thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Their paneer is fresh and delicious - whether you get it with saag or tikka masala, two of my favorites. Their lamb vindaloo was excellent. The onion bhaji is excellent! I have never been disappointed here. Excellent food!!

Everest is by far the best Indian food in Longmont. I would recommend the chicken Tikka masala, the momos, simosas, veggie korma... Heck, everything Ive tried has been delicious. The flavors of the food are more interesting and complex than other Indian restaurants in town. The lunch buffet is not only delicious, but also a great value! I love that it is a family owned business as well.

We have been here twice before and loved it. Tonight was far from acceptable. Ordered the Chana Masala and the Kofta, both were awful. Bad night in the kitchen? Dont know but we will not be returning largely due to the customer service when we would not pay for half of the meal because we didnt eat it and had to send it back. Sorry. Far better choices in town.

The food was soso. BUT the service...forget it!!! She demanded a 15% tip if my order was a take out. So, sign my credit card statement and follow her demands. Check my bank in 2 days she changed the tip amount to 20%.....can you say fraud! Ill never go there again!!! AND the prices are insanely too high. The place isnt very clean either! CONSUMER BEWARE!!!!

This is my favorite restaurant in town! I make it a priority to come to the lunch buffet about once a month. The food is delicious and authentic; the owners are lovely people. They have a great back room with a bar that they let out for parties. The room was free and we only had to pay for the food when we had my college graduation party there.

My wife and I have been fortunate to have travelled to many places in the world, and being vegetarians have had the opportunity to sample MANY an indian restaurant... and the Everest makes the best Aloo Gobi I have ever eaten! If truly good Indian food is what you are looking for tonight, then try this place, you will not be disappointed!

Went for pickup and waited 15 minuite just to get our order taken. Not impressed but I can live with that but the food was horrible. We both ate a few bites of each dish and throw it out. Hope it was just a bad night but Im not going to try again.

I stopped by for the lunch buffet and really enjoyed the food. I went right when it opened so everything was very fresh. I thought the butter chicken was delicious, and the samosas were great as well. The price is fair, I will definitely be back.

Ive always like Indian food. I didnt even know how good it could be until I ate here. They are far better than any other place I have tried. The Butter Chicken is to die for. The meats are juicier, more tender, never overcooked.

We enjoyed the food and it brought back great memories of the wonderful food that we tried on our recent visit to Nepal. Authentic food, nice staff, and a friendly atmosphere. Good experience overall.
