On the plus side, as far as pizza goes, Hot Lips is about as healthy as you can get. They go over and above on using locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. They unfortunately go overboard on trying to come up with creative or "hipster" flavour combinations. If youre into that sort of thing, then youll be happy, Im more a traditionalist, so pretty much all of their daily specials suck in my opinion. As for the "traditional flavours" theyre meh. Better than some competitors that sell by the slice, worse than others. Theyre also not cheap, but getting a cheap slice is a thing of the past these days. Its not worth trying their own brand of sodas, it is worth trying their meatball sub. One of the better ones in town. This location is in the Ecotrust bldg right off the streetcar and near Jamieson Fountain, good if you want to feed your kids something close, and not totally full of junk.

The pizza and the bread sticks are good (if a bit on the dry side) but the service at this particular Hot Lips always lets me down. At least half the time Ive waited in line and the person taking the order has skipped over me (yes I was paying attention!). I totally understand that this can happen when things are really busy, but this also happens when its slow. They dont even apologize about this when it happens... The food itself is pretty tasty. The pizza sauce is on the sweet side, which I like, and the crust is nice and thin. Its a little bit dry, so I recommend having it with a drink or water. Their homemade sodas are great! The cookies are tasty, especially the double chocolate one. I just wish that the service wasnt so spacey!

Good pizza. Good unto itself. Do not let anyone tell you it is just like New York pizza. People seem to say this, but having come from there, NYC pizza is not always the greatest, and this is nothing like that. They make their own pizza, and it is very good. They have good beer on tap for the adults, and a great family atmosphere for everyone else. It is a bit pricey, but the quality is also higher than average. I was very sad that they cut down their fig tree, outside. That is a great loss to the neighborhood.

Stop in on Sundays for $1 beers & $1 mimosas! This is my favorite. They make the mimosas with their own raspberry soda. They are so good. I cant believe they sell them for so cheap. I know Hot Lips can be expensive if youre ordering delivery but my boyfriend and I make this location one of our perfect, cheap Sunday date spots. Beer, Mimosas, a couple of their delicious bread-sticks and were good to go! Plus its right off the streetcar track :)

Go on a beautiful summer day, grab a pint of a local draft beer and a slice of the special. Join some strangers at one of the picnic tables outside. Start planning your move to the Pearl. Delicious crust topped with any number of fresh, local, and in-house ingredients. Veggie options are delicious even for carnivores, but then there is house smoked ham, etc., so you might never know it. No, its not cheap, but its definitely worth it.

The first place my daughter and I visited after getting off the bus in Portland! We went based off walkability and google reviews and it was so incredibly good! The ingredients were fresh, you could taste it. I had some veggie meatball deep dish and the toddler had plain pepperoni and they were both very good. They had the housemade blueberry soda on tap and man, it was magical. Great place! Loved the vibe and the food.

WORST customer service EVER. Couldnt even bother to take two seconds to say "one moment, we will be right with you" before they made me wait at the front of the line for 5 minutes while the staff took their sweet time rearranging everything rather than focusing on customers. Not even a "thank you" after I paid. RUDE RUDE RUDE. Do the employees realize if they use basic manners someone might tip them? Guess not.

The location is prime and the soda/beer on tap is fantastic! Not to mention the pizza is delicious! Want to know what is better? They deliver to alphabet district! now the location got better for me! They did mess up my order the first time i tried it. They delivered someone elses food to me, actually. However when my food got back to me they gave me 2 free sodas, so that was cool.

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Called almost a hour before closing they said no they wont make me the pizzas because I was going to be there too close to closing to pick up. I got there and then they refused to make the pizzas. Looks like my 1st and last to me going here. Gotta figure something else out for the guys I was going to get pizzas for. Lost quite a large sale.

Hands down one of the best pizza pads in town! With multiple locations and delivery to boot, this is my go-to pie place! They boast a creative menu including fresh, fancy salads & a whole fridge of local beers. Staff are always warm, welcoming and bubbly like baking cheese. Pop in for a whole pie & brewksy with a dollop of people-watching, or grab a slice to go.

Good Pizza. Good atmosphere. Great people! Certainly a good place to go when you dont want to drop $5 for a slice of pizza. I prefer them much better over some of the other chains around the area who I wont mention. Ive been here probably 4 times and every time the workers are really friendly which is sometimes hard to find!

I had gotten a few bottles of the Hot Lips sodas from my local food bank for my family but the bottles had expired. I called this location to ask if they were still safeel to drink since the soda is all natural and they offered to replace the bottles for us. My partner exchanged them earlier today, thank you so much!

Selection was unique and tasty. The entire family enjoyed it and thats saying a lot since there is usually one dissenter in the group. What puts this ahead of the other pizza joints that we have tried around town is the Hot Lips soda that is sold alongside the pizza. The strawberry soda has become an addiction.

The service is very friendly. The building is really beautiful and has great outdoor seating. The pizza is decent, Im not a big fan of thin crust (New York style) but for being that it is pretty good. They have a nice diverse selection and few go to originals for the less adventurous.

Slightly better than average thin crust NY style pizza. Theyve got good options as far as traditional slices go and plenty of other stuff to fit into the pacific NW pizza niche. Theyve usually got a decent microbrew selection that cover the normal types (ale, IPA, amber, etc).

This is my favorite neighborhood spot to get a slice of pizza and a beer on a casual weeknight. Ingredients are locally-sourced whenever possible, and the menu changes with the seasons. Hot Lips is VERY family-friendly, so watch out for kids and dogs on the patio!

I can only assume this Hot Lips survives due to its awesome location. At $4.25/slice, the slices are mediocre at best and way overpriced (Im blaming the cost of leasing space in the Pearl). Just down the street, Sizzle Pies slices are $3.25-$3.75 and are amazing.
