I rarely do something like this (going online to write a review), but we had such a bad experience, I feel I must write to warn others. We live mid-town so we were really excited to find this place nearby us, as we adore Indian food but dont always want to drive out west or downtown to get it. We invited another couple to meet us for dinner. We all four stood at the door for it seemed like about 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence, and the place was not what I wouldve considered very busy- maybe five, six tables? and the bartender, who did not appear to be doing anything other than staring into space at the opposite corner of the room, completely ignored us. (I learned later after reading a review posted by the OWH that he is one of the OWNERS?) When we were finally seated, I had a chance to take in the décor. Some of the best restaurants Ive ever been to have made me feel like I was transported to another world-- not this place. Rather blasé for an Indian restaurant-- they had a giant TV hanging over the bar (which is NOT separate from the dining area) that was blaring the news in competition over the reggae(?) music that was also playing. The lights were kind of bright for a dinner service, vaguely peachy-colored walls and some mirrors-- nothing about the place suggested that we were in an Indian restaurant at all. What with the tv and blaring music, I might as well have stayed home and cooked for all the atmosphere here. Fine, were here to eat, whatever. The waiter came over and had to point out where items could be found on the menu as it is badly organized, and while he was pleasant enough, his English was difficult to understand, and I find it odd that someone has to hold your hand because the menu is an illogical mess. Maybe its organized that way to keep the waiter at your table, because he also kept pushing stuff on us like the staff has some kind of quotas they have to meet. It wasnt enough that we ordered 2 appetizers, soup and bread, we were pushed to add another appetizer and another bread. Also, I had to ask three times to get a glass of water- they dont bring you any unless you ask, apparently because the bartender/owner cant be bothered to actually work. The appetizers were pretty good, but kind of weird. We ordered the Chicken 65, which was delicious, but it seemed more like a main dish that should be served over rice- just chunks of chicken in a reddish sauce. Definitely not finger food. We also had some cashew rolls that pretty much tasted like tater tots rolled in a couple of cashew crumbs, and the other was something that seemed like two different dishes smashed together- chickpeas over some smashed up samosa perhaps left over from the lunch buffet? The mulligatawny soup was a terrible disappointment- very grainy texture, and had no discernible flavor. Everyones entrees were pretty okay- I had the Saag with paneer (my usual), and it was fine. Our friends and my companion had meat dishes, which they all seemed to be okay with. I and the other gal had leftovers, which were taken from the table to be wrapped up in to-go containers. later that night, we all were awakened by rumbling bowels and frequent trips to the toilet. It lasted about two days for all four of us. It was awful, and we are certainly never going back. The topper is that when I went to throw my leftovers in the garbage disposal, there was some kind of insect in the bottom of the carton. I couldnt be bothered to discern what kind it was, but it did appear to have the type of pearly wings that a roach might have.

Bad Service. I mean really worst . Went today on 9th Sep 2017around 1 Pm For Buffet. First of all had limited plates , No bowls for several items Like Idly Sambhar (really how some one can eat Idly Sambhar directly in plate without bowl) . When i ask for bowl gentleman had smart answer that you guys are using it ( some of us already got one bowls which were kept for Rice Pudding (Kheer)) . But again why do you have buffet when you guys do not have enough Bowls and Plates. Had Lady and guy roaming around us while we were eating . I felt like they checking how much we are eating and all , why do u need to be roaming around while some one is eating. On top guy who gave me snoty answer had come while we were eating to ask are you done to so he can take his plates. Like i was eating Rice Pudding (Kheer ) and i had my plate right next to me , this guy came and start picking up my plates and same time he said are you done (like really why are you in so much hurry when some one is eating and have to bother while some one is eating ) . i was not there to eat free , never ever had written reviews but i felt i need to this time, since i felt humiliation today. We usually like to go Maharaja Cuisine or most Indian restaurant in west Omaha , But once i was told by some one so i tried in past couple months ago and had really good experience liked the owner guy at that time, that was reason i went there again . This was last time i would never go or recommend any one to give there business. Important to Lady and Guys who worked this after noon. :- When you have Buffet Service every time some one go to refill stuff we are suppose to change plates to save others from food contamination. And teach the gentleman that instead of giving Snotty answer that bowl are been used by others in my group (We were 7 adult and 2 kids) out of 9 some had got bowls. He should have said that we are out of bowls and are been washed , i will bring it asap. again it is buffet need to have common stuff available all the time . They did brought Bowls almost at the end when most of us were done eating, and had only 3 to 4 bowls ( had left near Kheer (rice Pudding) . like trying to same on there bowls . Food was ok. but they way we were treated i was almost not in a mood to eat . Omaha have way better Indian restaurant and have way better customer service then this Indian restaurant which is not worth what i paid to them.

-Great service -good food -$$ Came in within 30 min of closing and they were still willing to serve us. One of our order was the chicken tandoori which takes 30-45 min to prep. Though they told this when we ordered, the food came out a lot earlier than that and tasted great (on the drier side, but flavorful). I love the chicken tika masala! The curry was sooooo creamy and flavorful. If you order the bread basket, definitely dip it in the curry sauce. Chicken pakora was a nice appetizer, mildly flavored and fried, what can you ask for? It looks like a lot, but I emptied the plate before realizing it was all gone. The only negative part of my visit was on drinks, and this could be because we were their last customers: the mango lassi was small for the price and luke warm. I also wanted a coffee, but the were out for the night.
