Second time here 3/6/09: Im still a fan, and the service is probably one of their strengths. Even though I sat without help at first for a few minutes at the bar, the main chef (owner) had a waiter clean up my area and help me. They were very busy from a Friday lunch crowd. I had only sushi this time: spanish mackerel, tuna, yellow tail and Toro. I also had a moderately priced small sake. The spanish mackerel was firm, as was the yellow tail. The tuna was a little soft but they did a good job with presentation and the fish was hanging over the rice. Im not a fan of a big lump of rice with only a little fish. Im pretty sure that they dont sell a lot of Toro, as it was especially cold (like they were trying to keep it too long) and had started to brown. It was tender but the temperature kept me from enjoying it at 100%. The sake was only alright, I would prefer to have a greater selection of Ginjo sake, since its usually a good value. All in all I would give it a 7/10 for quality of fish, 10/10 for price and 10/10 for service. First time: Great experience, inexpensive, excellent sushi, rolls and service. I highly recommend for lunch near the airport. I would love to be here for several hours one evening and check out their sake menu. I was spoiled in SoCal by an excellent sushi master and their sake. The first time there we had 2 rolls and 1 sushi. Im generally cautious until I know the quality and freshness of the fish. The yellowtail was fantastic, and they even carry Toro, so I know I will splurge every once in awhile here.

We called in an order for take out, after reading all the reviews we had to taste what Rave was about. Sure enough...as soon as I walked in the door not only the waitstaff greeted me, but the Chefs behind the counter and the patrons looked up, smiled and said hi. As I was leaving, I asked...just to make sure if I had wassabi...and the chef grins at me, and with in 45 seconds I had a huge palm sized bag of wasabi wrapped in ginger root. When I got home my fiance asked me what the deal was with the wasabi, as we had plenty in our boxes, and I said... "Thats just how Sushi Kazu rolls!" We cant wait to check out the happy hour this week and the Bronco and the Dragon Rolls are to die for!! Prices are very competative, actually low, we paid less than $50 for the two of us to eat, and we had leftovers! Go check Kazu, chat with the chefs and have some great times!!

A friend and I went to Sushi Kazu on August 10, 2012. It took over 10 minutes for us to get asked what we wanted to drink after being seated. It took another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive and for our order be taken. About 20 minutes later we got our food. Food was OK, not a great dinning experience. Drinks were refilled only once with glasses seating empty for a long time. When we done it took about another 14 minutes for the waitress to pick up our check. We choose to split the bill, both of us providing credit cards. Come to find out my card was charged twice and my friends card was not charged. When I asked Sushi Kazu about this, they suggested that I get my money back from my friend. How about this, I will not eat at Sushi Kazu again.

Weve been patronizing Kazu Sans restaurant for the last three days. The only difference is that we a new face for waitresses. Kind and gentle service. Each of the last three days, we tried various rolls and nigiri. Of all my visits, I have been delighted with everything he prepares. I had them make us a new trendy item called the "Mexican Roll" and wow, was that good. I gave him the directions on how to make one and he came through with flying colors. I have eaten at several of the other restaurants in the area and I seem to always come back to Kazu!! I have yet to try his Udon dishes. UPDATE: 12/08/2016 - I am still amazed and astonished at Kazu Sans ability to satisfy my taste buds! This is now going our 8 years for us! :D

This is some of the best Sushi in Colorado. I have lived in Seattle, traveled around the country trying various sushi places, and Kazu has it right. The sushi here is delicious and the secret is to ask for his recommendation and what is special for the day. Had someone visit from Japan and took them to Sushi Kazu and they told me they couldnt get better sushi in Japan. The people are wonderful, the food is excellent, and watching Kazu work is a treat. If you like places like Hapa, this may not be for you. The food here is not catered to the tastes of locals, but holds true to Japanese customs. Although he does offer rolls (not common in Japan) his authentic cuisine is excellent, and he is picky about what he serves.

Talk about finding your go-to sushi place! Ive been a few times now and the sushi has been killer every time - and every time Ive left stuffed for under $15. The chefs lunch specials are almost always the way to go, especially if youre like me - looking for that special place where quality meets a set price point that leaves the tastebuds in joy without making you feel like your wallet was stolen. The service - good. The tuna - good. The salmon - gooood. The rolls - goooooooooood. Thats all there is to say. Thank you sushi kazu.

Delicious sushi in Centennial. Very close to my office, which is just off Arapahoe and S. Revere Parkway. I normally get the employee special, which is roll, three pieces of sashimi, 3 pieces of nigiri, an appetizer and soup or salad. I really like the freshness of the fish. Todays special had a fried shrimp dumpling, three pieces maguro sashimi, one piece salmon, scallop and crap nigiri and spicy tuna and shrimp tempura roll. Always filling and for $13.50 plus tip and tax a great amount of food for lunch. Yum yum sushi.

The best sushi in town no doubt. Very good prices for excellent quality. The sushi chef is so cool and he is training a new young lady. They are both great. A little hole in the wall place but its great. People who go to sushi katzu just need to drive a little further down Arapahoe and you wont be disappointed. They even have a frequent customer punch card that gives you 15.00 off your 10th visit and I swear they give me 2 punches sometimes. Very happy customer and try the shrimp dynamite role or appetizers

We recently moved to the neighborhood and were in the mood for some sushi. We tried Sushi Kazu and I am never going anywhere else! This restaurant was hands-down the best sushi restaurant I have been to in Metro Denver, and Ive been to most of them. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant is cozy. The food presentation was wonderful and the sushi rolls were huge. It was not very expensive, either. I am definitely going back and will be telling everyone I know!

They are inconsistent in that they are always bouncing between very good and exceptionally great. Their specials tend to be unique delicacies. Service is decent, but I am a sucker for mom and pop businesses. Standard Japanese greeting when you enter and good bye when you leave. Much cheaper than sushi den, no waiting like sushi den, sushi is sometimes slightly worse than sushi den, but sometimes better than sushi den. Easily warrants 5 stars from me.
