We visited Chicago last weekend and the food at this restaurant was by far the best I had the entire trip. I ordered the al pastor (pork) tacos which I was surprised to see came with pineapple. This addition made these tacos awesome, not just good but awesome. The people I was with ordered the steak nachos, a shrimp taco, elote (off the cob), al pastor torta, chicken tortilla soup, a caramel apple empanada, and guacamole. I tried the nachos and thought they were delicious. I also had some of the elote which was good. The guacamole was smooth and flavorful. The dishes I didnt try (soup, torta, shrimp taco) were enjoyed by those that did eat them. The caramel apple empanada was probably the least enjoyed by the table because it needed a sauce. The outside is covered in cinnamon sugar and the dough itself is quite thick so it just tasted kind of dry. But even with that slight disappointment, I enjoyed the rest of the meal so much I give this place five stars. When you go somewhere and enjoy everything you eat, how can you not give them a great review?

I have been to Mexico City and this is the closest I have found to the incredible food I ate there. The service is excellent and the food even better. I cannot believe the high quality of the ingredients and flavor profiles for the price! I have eaten at some very expensive Mexican/South American places in the city and this place hands down beats them all. The empanadas and tacos and sauces are SO good. And consistently good. We go here a lot and every time the food is delish. Its order at the counter, so not fancy, but the food comes fast and it still makes for a great casual date night place. Highly highly recommend.

Ive stoped in a couple of times and always leave satisfied. They have really good fish tacos. I dont eat fish tacos usually, actually never. But every time I come here I cheat on my steak with the fish tacos. Theyre a pretty good size. They also have really good empanadas. This place is definitely worth your money. If you havent stoped in you need to! Also, its a MUST to try all 3 of their salsas on your tacos!

Great service and even better food. What more can you ask for. Really good prices. Lobster was delicious. So was the ceviche and humburguesa. I will be coming back next time in Im north beach. Came in on a Friday night and had to wait a couple minutes so keep that in mind. Chips and ceviche or guacamole is a perfect appetizer for the lobster.

Chilango is great. My gf wanted chipotle but we ended up here instead (good call on my part) and we are happy with the decision. We will never go to Chipotle again. Get the shrimp tacos here, they are very good. Aside from the food, the location is ideal and attracts a young hip crowd. Lots of people way cooler than me. 5/5 stars.

Great food, great service, generally quick for pickup, can be a bit of a wait during lunch rush. Their empanadas are crisp and flaky, tacos are delicious, and salads are largely portioned. Small space inside, but pretty quick turnover of tables, no outside dining though, that would be icing on the already delicious cake

This place is great. Massive delicious burritos, some of the best tacos around, and good quesadillas. Elote corn and chips+guacamole are awesome sides too. Only downside is it can take a bit long for an "order at the counter" type place - 10-15 mins. Tip: Call in your order before you head over!

This place was a disappointment! I am Mexican and was expecting real Mexican street food. The tacos are $2.95 and are smaller than the size of my palm served on ONLY ONE tortilla. The burritos were good, BUT they reminded me of the burritos from Moes Southwest Grill.

The food was amazing! I had the chori-cheese empanadas & steak tacos...the best Ive ever had. The sauce they give is so good, dont know the names of them but the sweet one was my favorite. Very affordable meal! Nice & polite employees as well. Ill be back!

My latest go-to place for Mexican food. Forget about Chipotle guys...encourage Chilango which serves simple Mexican food with fresh ingredients. Tacos are fresh & made to order. Try their aqua fresca too ...mango is my fav

Food was very good, I ordered a steak taco, a BBQ chicken empanada and ground beef empanada. Place is very cool, everything was good, just didnt like any of the hot sauces they give you. Ill be coming back though for sure

Glad I chose to eat here along with a group of friends from MN. Right away the culture is live, the workers are active and the owner is very welcoming. The food is extremely delicious! Nothing Ive seen in Mn!

We loved it so much we went back again 2 days later. The steak tacos are delicious and you cant go wrong with any of their empanadas. Their horchata is also very good. Reasonably priced...~$20 per couple.

I had a fantastic steak burrito from them the other week. The only complaint I had was that they were chopping onions causing everyones eye to water while we waited for our food.

I like the revamped menu, pretty good Mexican fare. Tacos were awesome. I love the pork, the beef was good also, chicken was alright less flavorful than the others.
