My friends and I were visiting Denver for a convention. We are from New York City. In New York City there is a large and diverse population. As a consequence, we are able to be exposed to some of the best foods in the world without actually being in the country from which those Foods,. Ramen is one of the foods in question 。 that being said, it is not fair that I should have to review this location because it is probably the best that Denver has to offer in terms of Japanese ramen. However I would be doing you a disservice if I did not tell the truth, this place and its Ramen are as good as the $0.30 per pack stuff that you bought in college. Whats worse is they have menu items with descriptions on them but when ordered the finished product is nothing like the description. All 3 of my friends and I ordered different dishes and none of them match the descriptions in the menu. This might be acceptable for someone who does not know Japanese Cuisine but we definitely noticed. Two stars might be one too many but I have to think about the wait staff who are excellent and nice.

The experience my husband and I had was pretty bad. My husband had ordered some hot tea and when he poured it into the cup the cup broke resulting in hot tea burning his leg. After which the waitress had replied with: " I dont know whats wrong with those cups" as though it had happened before. The restutant had also responded by giving us 50% off the ticket, did not charge us for the teas (I got one too), and gave him a towel full of ice. Which, honestly, was not too helpful because we had to buy stuff to deal with the burn which costed more than the discount we were given. I am surprised they, being a resturant, did not have a first aid kit (or at least offer to bring one), and you know thats all it would have taken. Knowing how to deal properly deal with situations like this can make or breaks an experience. Which is important because there is plenty of good food in Denver (and the food was good) that we will go to instead.

This place is pretty trendy and hip. Its fun and the food tastes great. The place can get loud and the place can get crowded, especially during the lunch hour. However, the food is pretty quick, the staff is nice, the place is clean and the atmosphere is really welcoming. The food isnt greasy and doesnt feel like theyre feeding you "instant noodles" so I like this place. They also have an outdoor patio if you want to go sit outside. I usually dont like sitting outside on 16th street mall though, too many smokers who walk by. The prices are pretty typical of downtown: I find that I spend about $15 per lunch including a drink. My brother complains that the serving sizes arent the greatest, but its just fine for me.

I ordered the Tanten, the ground pork was way too finely chopped/ground to the point I had no idea what type of meat it was. The restaurant, although not crowded was messy. There was food and debris all around. The service was horrible. Had to wait to get water and then when our entrees came out they had the wrong one for my wife. Instead of speeding up her order it took too long to come out I was nearly finished. An all around poor experience.

I tried the Tonkotsu men, gyoza, shumai, and karaage. Everything was seasoned wonderfully, inexpensive dishes, filling portions, fast service. The noodles are a little harder than other places, but still were fresh and tasty. We arrived by 11:30am on a thurs and the restaurant was a little over half full and filling up fast. By the time we left, there was a wait list. Next time, I may get my ramen take out. Definitely a place I will revisit!

The ramen was pretty good. Thought the broth had a bit too much garlic, but it was still tasty. The real MVPs are the staff. I was seated and it took about 5ish minutes for a waiter to get to me. A mild annoyance but in my opinion still reasonable since it was pretty busy. When the waiter got to me he was extremely apologetic and gave me a pretty hefty discount. Top notch customer service!

I frequent Japan often this place was not good. Bowls are small especially for 11$ Broth lacked flavor, vegetables were lackluster. Place was not busy and yet it had please wait to be seated. The staff walked by me several times before I had to ask if I could take a seat. Didnt get menu for 5minutes. All around not an enjoyable experience. Go to Sakura house its more authentic.

Nice options with authentic ingredients. I got the spicy chicken ramen. The depth of flavor wasnt there. I could taste the miso but the rest was just spicy for the sake of spicy. Not delicious. The chicken tasted like the grocery store pre-cooked stuff, mushy mouthfeel. The shumai (shrimp dumplings) were very well done though. Service was great prices reasonable.

Server had an attitude that kind of made us feel rushed to hurry up. The food came out incredibly fast which we loved. It was fresh tasting and great quality, especially the Gyoza appetizer, and my husband loved his first experience of eating with chopsticks. Clean bathrooms too, which I deeply appreciate as a pregnant woman.

Ive never had to wait to be seated, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious (okay I always have the ramen but it is the best ramen in Denver), they are happy to accommodate food allergies and knowledgeable about the ingredients. Oh and the mochi ice cream is the best Ive ever had! Definitely one of my go-to spots!

Food was delicious and service was on point. I had the Chicken Karaage and Kimchi Fried Rice, and the flavors were spot on. Maitland, my server, was kind, attentive, but not overbearing. Great spot for fast casual without sacrificing quality of food for quickness. I definitely will be back to have the ramen!!!

Badly needed spot on 16th. Went during the lunch rush. Despite the rush, the food and service was on spot. We were seated, ordered, and ate well within 1 hour. The food was excellent. The only thing that I missed at first was a soft boiled egg. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth. Definitely will return.

I really like this place. I had the spicy miso ramen... It was So good! I also had the lettuce wraps. They were as good as PF Changs, but not as expensive. This place is with a try. If I lived in Denver it Would be a regular for me. Oh... And the guys serving me were great also.

Very tasty, and quick service for a sit down restaurant--its easy to get back to work inside an hour. A nice variety of dishes beyond just noodles, including som small plates, which allow you to get a few different things in combination. A welcome addition to the 16th street Mall!

Tried Teriyaki beef and Tonkatsu Men. The sauce was not bad on either. But the meat was very poor quality. Fatty with bone in on the teriyaki beef and half fat on the pork. Also, the tonkatsu was not breaded, but they still called it tonkatsu. I wouldnt go back there again.
