Good food! The best bacon. Where do they get that good bacon? Fast, fresh, clean superstar service, bright and friendly. Best.... however its too expensive. Yes I said it. They should bring the prices down. 14.00 for an omelet, go on yall, that is just ridiculous. I can imagine a family of 4 spending 60 or 75 if someone wants a small glass of juice.Then you are paying the high Chicago tax and .7 for a bag if you want a to go or have left overs. I am done raging on high prices. Because the food is good. This place is now more of a big treat and not a nice meal due to time. Minus one star because of high prices (last dig on prices).

Hands down the best buttermilk pancakes in the world (from a self proclaimed connoisseur). The 49er flapjacks are a very distant second, but are very unique and still much better than any breakfast item you will eat at 99% of restaurants in America. I am so glad my favorite restaurant that serves my favorite food is right here in my neighborhood. You cant beat this place.

The food is good, a variety of pancakes is offered, but nothing out of this world...they didnt have any salsa, though its not a menu item, I was a bit surprised. The wait staff is hit or miss, and is why this place didnt get 3 or 4 stars. Ive had a time when a waitress brought me my food with her hands instead of a tray and her fingers were in my food.

This is a very popular local Beverly area breakfast place. We waited about 15 minutes for a table on a Saturday morning which was not a bad wait. The service was fast for such a busy restaurant. I was surprised to find some healthy menu options like Buckwheat pancakes which were delicious. The portions sizes are gigantic so we ordered side dishes.

The wait was to ridiculous.. i would never go back to this place pan cakes was cold and then i sat there waiting on my coffee for 10 mins i had to ask the bus boy if he could get it... im sure tge waitress was overwhelmed by all the people i thinks she needed a vacation.

I received dirty silverware waitress brought another one the second one was dirty as well I had to get another one food orange juice was nasty the grits was horrible I dont know what kind of cheese they use but it didnt melt in the grits or eggs

Ihave esten quite a few times in the past. Iall ways order the large apple pancake and i was only able to finest it once when my dauther was born in March of 1968. SOyou see iam an old timer an now i live in florida and i still mis the place.

I enjoy the fast, friendly service, and the food is fresh cooked to my specifications. On the down side its time for an update. The Original House of Pancakes is raking in enough to change out the carpet and update the seating/tables.

I enjoy the food here, the pancakes are so delicious. Ive been coming here since I was a kid, and Ive always loved the hot syrup. The menu is very similar to all breakfast places, but the atmosphere is nice and the people are great.

This is the only "real" pancake house on the south side! The pancakes melt in your mouth and egg items are always top notch. We have been going to this location for years and wouldnt go anywhere else for breakfast.
