Every time we go there, the service is insanely slow. I decided to go in and get our order to go for hopefully faster service. The cook AND the girl at the counter saw me, turned away from me, then started talking. I decided to check my watch to see how long it would take with NO ONE in the drive through and NO ONE in line except my son and I. After TEN MINUTES I said, "Really?" Then she turned around, said, "Sorry" and asked for my order. At that moment, the drive through buzzed, and she said, "Excuse me" without even taking my order. She went to take that order first. After taking my order, another woman came in and made an order. She said she didnt want specific sauces or guacamole on her food. The girl behind the counter said, "Are you sure?" Then the woman said, "Yes.....it is for my children." Then the girl behind the counter shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes. The Carne Asada is ALWAYS super dry and the breakfast burritos are awful. I ordered the Carnitas meal, but got home and saw a friend had arrived from my church with dinner unexpectedly so I gave my dinner away and ate what my friend brought instead. That was my last attempt to see if food/service would be any better, and it wasnt, so never again will we give them our business. With so many other better and faster Mexican restaurants currently in business, and popping up, they better completely change their game plan or they will be out of business. They just wont be able to keep up with the competition. I gave only 1 star because I had to enter something, but dont feel that even that 1 star was deserved.

I drive through here 1-2 a week, the food is great but the service is hit or miss. The lady that is usually in the drivethrough when Ive gone through late at night is so eager to get me out of there that I have little opportunity to ask for my usual "lots of green salsa." Several times Ive asked and she still hasnt given it to me and is gone in such a hurry that I cant get her attention through the window, forcing me to go back through and ask again. There is a different lady there sometimes and when I see her it warms my heart because I know shell take care of me. Before anything she asks what salsas I want and when I say "lots of green salsa, please," she responds By asking how many green salsas I want. What? I get to choose how many?? Oh, occasional lady of the night shift, where have you been all my life? You are a gift from the late night Mexican food gods. My love language is green salsa and she gets me. When its her, I always toss a few dollars in the styrofoam tip cup.

I highly suggest you go inside and order because every time I order at drive-thru they mess up my order. It would be total opposite of what I asked for. They need a better drive-thru operating system because its happening every time ane they obviously cant hear me. I tell them to read me back my order and it cuts out. I suggest you ask them to read it back to you when you get to the window. Even then, they dont make up for their mistakes, instead they charge you extra for what they forgot to add. Theyre very stingy with their salsas. I gave it two stars because the food isnt terrible. Could be better. Ill be going to Alberts Tacos on Austin Bluffs from now on. Four years of poor food and service, and Im tired of it.

24-hour drive through Mexican food with an option to order and eat inside. Convenience, quality and cost are all spot on at this restaurant. Much better than most Mexican fast food. The carne asada french fries (shown in picture) are UNREAL- fries loaded with cheese, steak, sour cream, guac etc. My parents recently visited from New Jersey where we have fantastic Mexican restaurants and they said they wished they had a place like this back home. Again, the quality paired with the cost and convenience makes this place great. The staff members speak fluent Spanish and pretty good English, just be patient and kind as you should be anywhere.

This food is great WHEN ITS PREPARED PROPERLY. The girl who works the front counter doesnt speak English and apparently doesnt ever care to learn. I even tried speaking to her in spanish AND SHE STILL ACTED LIKE A COMPLETE IDIOT. You bite into a burrito and oil dumps all over your plate or lap. You ask them to not make your burrito so oily and they just look at you like "DUHHHH??". I have found hair in my food before and even insects. These guys need to get their act together. The person taking your order should SPEAK ENGLISH!!!

This is definitely our new favorite Taco Shop! They have a large menu and their food is on-point! Very surprising for such a small operation. Their prices are better than other taco shops that we have visited. Their HORCHATA is off the hook! The best Ive ever had in my life! I am posting a picture that captures most of their menu board. They dont have much of an online presence.

When this Taco Express gets the order right the food is not that bad. However today, Taco Express, you screwed up pretty bad. The lady at the drive thru window checked with me about my order yet the cooks still messed it up. Really? I took a break from this Taco Express but after today I am in no rush to ever go back.

Huge Breakfast Burritos! Portion is similar to a Chipotle burrito. Simple ingredients. Salsa are too spicy for me (spicywimpy). So I found the burrito bland because I couldnt use the salsa. Hubs looked the burrito and salsas. Not geasy. Quick and friendly drive thru service.

I moved from Alabama and discovered the most amazing Mexican food. I cant believe my eyes at the amount of food for such a low price. And taste, like you had gone out to eat not to a drive thru. Taco express is a must try experience that will have you coming back for more.

I have eaten there food a few times now and have enjoyed it every time. I have to say that my favorite order right now is the carne asada steak fries with sour cream and guacamole. AWSOME! I agree with a previous reviewer, go inside and order versus the drive thru.

I love mexican food .. but this place food is awful lately really dissapoint it and they take 1 hour to make a taco and to make a burrito until next day always wait in line.. but i give up.. not even worth it anymore rather go somewhere else

About 4 hrs after eating there, I had bubble guts and vomiting. I eat at a lot of hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants. I dont think it was bad cooking or meat. I think the spices were different than Im used to for authentic Mexican.

Good food but the worst customer service. I odered my food I was only customer in line and after 10 min of waiting for them to open the window and collect my money I drove off. It should not take more than 5 min to make one burrito.
