I came here for lunch and though the dining area was full we had no problems with the service. The hostess was cheerful and suggested sitting at the oyster bar, which was a great idea (it was more interactive, like when you sit at a sushi bar). Our friendly server was also the only person manning the oyster bar, but he took the time to chat with us and explained about the different varieties of oysters and how theyre prepared, etc. (despite the fact we werent ordering any). It was also fun watching him in action shucking the oysters. What we did order was fantastic though; we both had the trout almondine. It was a delectable piece of fish, perfectly cooked and the preparation was delicious. The side grilled veggies were excellent, with perfect pieces of summer squash, carrots, red peppers, zucchini and mushrooms.

I have been to lure santa babara location. It was a pleasant experience. I was about to get a burger but all of sudden a craving for oyster just hit me but dont want to spend a lot. So I was trying to find a place offer happy hour on Saturday. I called this lure at 3:17pm. there was a girl answered the phone call and told me they had happy hour today from 4pm to 6pm. So I drove half hour there, but the waiter told me this is the only day they dont have happy hour. Then why the girl told me that. I think they just trying to lure me there. I thought dealerships are the only one using that technique to lure people visit there shop. No wonder their name is lure. Plus the manager there Bob. he seems not care about his customer at all. I was trying to find who gave me the wrong information. He just lied right into my face.

Great service (thanks to staff and Frank the manager)!!... and the food is pretty good too...Ive explored the menu and here are my recs: any of their Raw Oysters but if you care about the environment and eating sustainably then eat foods that come locally and GET THE GRASSY BAR Oysters (Morro Bay) and when u eat them remember that great things come in small packages. I also enjoyed the Jalepeño Albacore Melt (open-faced) but ask for it on TOASTED RYE OR WHITE or else theyll serve it on a limp english muffin (which make no sense to me)...anyway; the Ceviche is great too. I also recommend going for lunch or happy hour and sitting on the patio. Bon Appetite!

This place is so much fun and has great whimsical, nautical decour. What I like best about this place is that you can roll in for a super casual meal or treat it like a fancier night out. The menu items totally accommodate this, from the tacos to the steak and lobster, and from the beers to the specialty cocktails. So the next time you feel like dining out, whatever the reason, youll probably leave The Lure pretty satisfied. Being in the mood for seafood is a big plus, but theyve got options for the marine-averse too.

Good quality food. Long wait. I tasted my extra shrip on my salad (there were 4) and gave one to my husband to taste...they were oily and far too salty so I asked them to replace them with simple cold shrimp. They replaced 2 out of the four!! Apparently its their policy to only replace that which you havent eaten! How would we know it wasnt good if we hadnt eaten one each!? At their prices they should have said no problem and replaced all 4!! Overall good food and good service but this cheapness eas not a good ad.

Okay so Im just going to say this I hate the rice pilaf lets get that out of the way. That being said the staff are incredibly nice and very supportive. I had a minor issue while dining there the other night and they were able to accommodate us relocate our seat put us in the booth that was more secluded and it was fantastic the wait staff is awesome the management is great the hostesses are all sweet and accommodating I have to say I love the lure and will always jump at the chance to have dinner there.

First time at the restaurant and it took 20 minutes to get a menu and drinks after being seated. Another 15 for someone to take out order. You get where this is going. When we asked for a manager and explained what happened, he make it all better and comped our meal. We were blown away by this gesture as the food was outstanding and our complaint was the service. Needless to say we have been back 6-7 times and the poor service must have been a bad night.

We reserved the private room for mothers day (2013). Service was prompt and accurate. No one was kept waiting for anything. The private room was perfect for the kids to roam around and stay in view. Food servings were a tad small for some of the entrees and appetizers, but the warm bread and butter kept coming, drinks were always full and the deserts were heavenly. I highly recommend this location for small private events (less than 15).

For good seafood of all varieties, nothing beats this place. Truly outstanding service. Food-wise, everything was top notch -- from the fresh guacamole to the salad, bread, pasta, fish and seafood, and sides. The seared ahi is probably the best Ive ever eaten. They even have good happy hour specials, otherwise prices are moderate to expensive, but not at all overpriced for the quality and quantity.

We love Lure and go to Happy Hour often. We celebrated a birthday dinner there on the 29th. Service was slower than normal...probably due to the holidays. They brought 2 ice cream sundaes for the birthday people, and it was delicious! I recommend the sand dabs yum yum! Fried jumbo shrimp and clam chowder for happy hour is one of my favorites. Bar staff is great, they are consistently good.

Good fish at a fairly decent price. You get 2 sides with your entree & can upgrade your side to clam chowder or a house salad for a nominal extra charge. Their clam chowder is really good. Ive never tried it but I think their Happy Hour oyster bar is pretty good. This is my go-to local place for fish when I dont feel like driving all the way to King Fish House in Calabasas.

Terrible dinner and service. First requested a table they tried to seat us in a booth. Have trouble sitting in a booth because of arthritis.Ordered drinks while we waited they were not served for half an hour. Finally seated and hostess placed drink menu which knocked my Cosmo over and NEVER apologized. Finally found a hair in our bread!!

We were looking for a local seafood restaurant and came across this place via search. Slight wait during peak dinner time. Very friendly wait staff and excellent food. The atmosphere was just about perfect and the whole experience was surprisingly relaxing. Highly recommended and I would definitely return when Im in the area again.
