Reviewing Dim Sum only! Really not worth the high prices! Quality is good but not superior than some of the other Dim Sum places in the area. Came on a sunday afternoon, not a holiday, they do not take reservations unless you have a party of 15 or more. We got a number and waited, waited, which we expected, we were not seated until 1 hour and 50min later, almost a 2 hour wait. We were told that if we had came half hour later, it would have been 2.5 hour wait. Got a table, restaurant was loud and noticeably old and need remodeling. We placed our order on a sheet of paper and put it in. There was very few (S) side plates, most were (L) or (XL) so they could charge more, on top of the already very expensive prices. The food was decent, slightly bigger portions than some of the other dim sum places, but the prices are twice as high. Service was bad and to be expected at a Chinese restaurant. Everything was comparable, but nothing amazing or better than other dim sum restaurants. I actually thought King Huas food was alot better and somewhat cheaper. For 3 of us, bill was $80 + tax and tips, very expensive and we didnt even have leftovers. Bathrooms are not very clean. Totally not work the high prices, long wait, and crappy difficult parking situation.

The first dim sum place Ive been to without carts and I can really see the merits of this approach: you order exactly what you want and it comes to you piping-hot and fresh, without having to wait for the carts to come around. Came here with a group of 14, which enabled us to make reservations (you need to have at least 10 people to make reservations, apparently). After being seated it took us a while to look through the extensive menu and make our choices. It was fun and exciting to see dish after dish come out from all the ordering! Some standouts for me: fried smelt, shrimp har gow, the shrimp dumpling with scallop on top and pork bao. Everything was delicious, mind you, but those were my faves. Service was pretty good considering how busy it was, but its the typical unsmiling Asian variety. Im definitely coming back, and Ill be battle-ready to fight off those pushy middle-aged Chinese ladies wholl try to cut in front of me!

This review is for the dinner portion only. Ive been here years ago for the dim sum, and I remember it tried to aim towards higher end customers. Same goes for the dinner. Everything here is a bit overpriced. During dinner time, it was pretty much empty. This tells you something about their food. I know during the day for dimsum, they are packed. The food during dinner were all served on fancy plates, so it looked nice. But the taste is something else. Its not bland per say, but its not entirely flavorful too. The lamb looked the most delicious from the menu, so we got that. The sauces was flavorful, but I felt like they did not marinate the meat long enough for the flavoring to sink in. The pidgeon was decent. The Yang Chow Fried Rice was not flavorful at all. It lacked a lot of spices and condiments. Overall, the experience was lacking. I guess thats why its not that busy here during dinner.

The food was not bad. But not great. This is probably more like 3.5 stars but no option for that so I am giving it 3 stars. Some of the plates that stand out was the bbq pork stuffed bread and the chicken feet as well as a porridge like dish with egg white chunks in it. Not sure what it was called but it was pretty good. The other rice wrapped items were not particularly good. I felt they lacked flavor. My friend ordered Durian and didnt feel it was particularly fresh. I am not personally a fan of Durian but she really likes it and was not super impressed.

Wow, Ive always known about this dim sum place but never really had a chance to try. I always drive by and see how long the lines are but we finally decided to stop by and get dim sum on Sunday morning here. Yes, the wait can be a pain but we ended up waiting for about 45 minutes. FYI, there are no dim sum carts or dim sum ladies pushing carts around. You just get a menu and decide what you want and put how many you want. The food actually comes out pretty quick! The chicken feet were a big hit! The hargow shrimp was very...shrimpy.

The reason why this place gets a 3 is not for lack of tastey food...but rather for the lack of attention to customer care. We had a reservation for 9. When we got there they were clearing a table. The group in front of us had a similar reservation quantity. When the group in front of us ended up sitting down then had not their entire group with them. There were only three people of the nine sitting there. They sat there for an hour not being served and therefore we were sitting there waiting to be seated. Not very cool.

One of the best dim sum in L.A. as well as San Gabriel Valley. Price is higher than most other chinese restaurant in the area, but you had getting a more high quality dish as well as service. Dim sum is packed here especially during the weekend. Expect a hour wait line easily, dinner usually no wait unless during holiday. I try their both dinner and dim sum both are good but do aware you are paying more here. Their wasabi fried fillet was very good !

This seafood restaurant resides at the old Farrells Ice Cream Parlour on Rosemead. We had a dinner party for 50 and there was very little service as the guest arrived. We had about 10 courses of which about five were passable. The staff didnt speak much english and didnt know what they were serving. On the bright side they have security in the lot and the gentleman guard was efficient and very friendly.

Wow Just WOW. by far the best, most authentic Chinese restaurant in LA. When my chinese friends took me here I was blown away. This stuff was leagues better than your average new york place and the menu was exhaustive. The fact that everyone eating there was Chinese or with Chinese people only added to the genuine feel the place have. Overall a must go for all serious chinese food lovers.

I use to love to come here for Dim Sum, their food quality were superb. Thus, the premium price for their Dim Sum. But lately, their food quality and their service has been diminishing. On top of it, during the closing time, they will rush you to order and close the bill so they can split their tips before the break. Very unprofessional.

Good Chinese restaurant. I expected this place to be dim sum with carts being pushed around, but that wasnt the case. There are menus that you order from with a lazy Susan in the middle of the huge tables that you can use to pass around the food. The menus werent easy to figure out, but the employees should be able to help you out.

The price for dim sum is higher than most around the San Gabriel Valley. Normally I dont care for paying a little extra if the food is worth the price, but in this case, its over priced. It may have been good at one point 5+ years ago, but with the competition so fierce in the area, its not able to hang.
