Food was good. Server was less than good. First she didnt know about any of the items on the menu. Its crab fest and she didnt know the difference between the "3" different crab legs they offer. Wouldnt even offer to find out just said the "snow crab is the usual crab leg and the other two are less buttery and are basically the same. And I think one is smokey." She also came by merely one time between bringing out the food and bringing the check. We were seated for over an hour. I dont need much but more than one glass of water would be nice after a long hot day at work. And then when asked for the cheapest Cabernet they had, she decided to ring it up to a glass that was $1.00 more expensive and when asked she tried to defend herself saying it was the cheapest. But when asked to check the menu she initially argued and then reluctantly did so and found the cheaper glass, then proceeded to point out that it was only a $1.00 more expensive and she would have to get the manager to take off the $1.00 extra charge like were some cheapskates off the street. First of all its about principle. You were wrong and didnt do what we asked. I dont care if its $1.00 or $10.00 difference. We just spent nearly $100 on the meal itself. But when you make a mistake and a patron points it out because its my bill after all, dont argue with them and attempt to embarrass them. Its just unbecoming and rude.

My wife had a $25 gifted card we needed to use on our vacation to the Ventura area so we looked up the address on the internet. It was raining when my wife and I arrived. They greeted us at our car with a huge umbrella and escorted us to the door. Every staff member we came in contact with treated us like we were the only ones there. Erica was very welcoming. Esmeralda was one of the most friendly and helpful waitresses we have ever encountered. We warmed up to her immediately and felt that weve known her for a long time. She was very well mannered. She checked up on us often but not too often. When she said she would be right back with our bread rolls once they were out of the oven she arrived a few minutes later saying "as promised here are your bread rolls". My wife and I really liked her enough so that we couldnt wait to write this review when we arrived back at the hotel. Weve never taken the time to full out a survey before. I believe Esmeralda and the staff were worth this effort. :)

First of all it was the worst experience...my husband and I and our 1 year old daughter went on a Wednesday night to celebrate our 3rd marriage anniversary. We walked in the employee told us that it was a 20 min wait there were several people waiting...we ended up waiting for almost 40 min we got seated then waited another 10 min to get agnolege. By that time we were so annoyed! Our waitress came she was nice and apologise and said that they were under staff! How can you be under staff? Management needs to work on that for sure! People who got seated after us were already eating, while my husband and I were still waiting...my husband was so upset that he even got a headache we were so close to leaving. Finally we got our food we just ask if we could take it to go...we even waited to pay! Just horrible I dont recommend anyone going to the Red Lobster in Oxnard!!!

Hey jellie its probably because you sat your self! Wait for the host to bring you to a table! And OMG! YOUR HUSBAND WORKS ON RADIO???? I hope they dont loose too much business over this! Ha thats a joke. I love red lobster! People like you are probably miserable with their lives and have nothing better to do but complain and want something free. You lost go somewhere else and be miserable!!

Occasionally the service fades off, but I guess its due to who your server is. Sometimes we have to wait for our food for longer than 20 minutes, but other times its ready within 10 minutes. Weve never had to wait for more than 10 minutes to be seated. We go about once a month or so for the different entree specials. Always enjoy it and leave full (overstuffed most of the time)

Pretty nice place with good food. I recommend trying out the Lobster Bisque and Potato Bacon soups. The Coconut shrimp is pretty good too and the fish n chips are chrispy. The biscuits they give you as you wait for your food are pretty darn good. Only con was that my wait time for my main entree took a good 20-30 mins but the appetizer and soups came out fairly quickly.

We arrived and we waited 30min to get seated once we got to the table we sat there for 10 more min with no menus, no one came over to ask for our drink order or bring us bread. So we decided to go to Toppers for salad and pizza Never again will we go back n we will let everyone we know. My husband works at the radio and he will make sure that other hear about this.

Had the shrimp diablo heat was just right! And started with the soft shell crab...I now am in a steam kettle daze/coma!!! Sit at the bar so you can watch Chef Red Lobster & his staff get down and make some creole magic! Cant wait to come back and explore more tasty goods on the menu! & yes, Ill be sitting at the bar.

Ordered crab linguini when It arrived I started eating it look like it had a strand of hair. The waiter took the hair over to the manager and it took the manager 10 minutes to return. Seems to me if it wasnt a strand of hair why did it take the manager so long to return and explain it.

Spent a total of two hours on a later Tuesday night waiting to be seated and served. Ordered drinks from the bar that tasted like no alcohol was in them. And the food was mediocre at best. Only reason Im giving two stars instead of one is because our waitress was very polite and nice.

The prices were high. The service was slow for the number of customers in the place. I thought that the New Clam Chowder had gotten scorched as it had a burnt taste. I told the waitress; she said that she would check on it. She never came back, so I guess I was right.

Called on the phone and the guy answered the phone and I did not understand a word he said. I asked for the address and the voice on the other end replied " I no a speak." Was put on hold for five minutes then someone was able to get me the address.

They take too long to seat people i was probably standing for like 30 -45 minutes. the food was ok considering the fact that they took what seemed like an hour to bring the food to our table.

I love shrimp and Red Lobster is an expert on that. I really recommend this restaurant, specially if you are taking your girlfriend out for dinner ;). Shell love you and your stomach too!
