I had very high hopes for this place because of the excellent reviews. The location made me expect a higher price range which was fine. The restaurant and staff were warm and welcoming. The reason for the two stars is simply the quality of the food. The coxinhas amounted to fried dough with nothing tasting close to poultry inside, the sauce was a marriage of mayo and bad ketchup. The rice was crunchy and the moqueca was soupy, so... that worked. The grit of sand from one of the mussels called the meal to a close. To end on a high note at least the plantains were awesome! Im not saying this place is bad I just had a couple of bad dishes.

My girlfriend and I wanted to try something different and unique so we ventured out to this new restaurant on Thousand Oaks Boulevard Moqueca Brazilian restaurant and oh my God what a surprise. The restaurant was bustling with happy patrons and the owner greeted his customers with a smile. If you are a foodie I recommend this Brazilian restaurant and if you love wine then what a perfect pairing and for all of you that like cocktails oh my goodness you will be pleasantly surprised. Great Brazilian food, moqueca is yummy. Full of flavors in a clay pot brought simmering to the table, tried the chilean sea bass with shrimp, would definitely recommend. Appetizers are extensive, chicken puff pastries are a must and calamari was good. The Brazilian Angus steak was prepared perfectly. Service is great and definitely have a capriahna.... Malbec also good. Glad they are here....

“Mastros Steakhouse Delicious!” We dinned at Mastros Steakhouse in Thousand Oaks on Thursday 11/17 and as always, delicious! We ate in the bar with great piano & jazz music. We shared the Mastros Salad and the Bone-In Filet w/sides of creamed spinach and onion rings! Always a popular spot with lots of fun & action. Oh the high side, but worth it!

Ibe been here several times❣️LOVE it❣️Great food and wine and service❣️You can substitute beans for the rice if you like in the "bowl"....If you like spicy... ask for the fabulous Brazilian spicy sauce... I could drink THAT❣️But I LOVE anything and everything with some heat❣️The waitstaff has always gone out of their way to make sure were happy

Upon our arrival, we received a pleasant greeting for our anniversary and again upon our departure (which was mentioned in our reservation). We were offered black napkins (rather than the white napkins already on the table) since we were wearing black and to avoid lint transferring. Our bottled water was kept on ice during our meal.

This place is top notch. They have delicious food, friendly service, and fantastic cocktails. The food is traditional and its a great place to go if you are looking for something different and impressive. The paella moqueca and the fish moqueca were so good and fresh. I highly recommend this place.

My steak was overcooked but everyone elses was ok since it was my gf bday did not want to make a big deal about it. They did give her a slice of cake for bday which was nice. Rest of the food all looked nice. I can cook better this on my traegar grill.

Authentic cuisine! I have never had the specialties that these guys offer and let me tell you they are delicious. I had the seafood mocaque (sp) and it was a ton of flavor that i had never experinced before. I will be back for sure.
