I have a love/hate relationship with fried chicken. I love it because its good. Its soooo good. Its "you feel it for the rest of the day" good. SO good! I hate it because its the ruiner of a healthy eating lifestyle. Fried food in general is bad for you if you overdo. Its "you feel it for the rest of the day" bad if you go overboard. SO bad! Still, on occasion, you can catch me scarfing down some fried chicken. In Vallejo, you have your major chains. The KFCs, Popeyes, and even Churchs (for those that dont fear the hood.) Then you have this lesser known chain, spread sparsely throughout the US: Louisiana Fried Chicken. Ugh, its good. Its really really good. The chicken is fried up perfectly. Its seasoned just right too: not salty and not bland. Has that just right amount of flavor. Pair these with some hot sauce and you might as well call it a day. The sides are great as well. Fries, mac n cheese, even the roll, all good in my book. They make great compliments to the already pretty awesome fried chicken. The service here is good too. Its fast and friendly. I wish I could sit down and eat it right there in the establishment, but theres no tables or such. This place is pretty much order and go. No biggie though. Out of all the chain chicken places, I gotta say that this place just might be my favorite. Popeyes kinda sorta ranks up there, but I feel that Louisiana edges them out just a tad bit. Yeah, many a healthy eating lifestyle will be broken upon biting into that juicy, yummy, fried goodness.

Note: this place changed management recently and it is definitely different-for better or worse. Place is small, best for take out. The service was good. The menu is huge. The chicken strips and fries were nothing special but I still want to return to try the more exotic items such as alligator.

Under new management. Horrible! Fake shtimp, no desserts anymore :( My brother and I had Basa or what was suppose to be bass. The french fries were really soggy! Yuck! Not going back. $25 wasted!

Eh, if you need something to eat for cheap heres your place. Just know this food is highly unhealthy and not much of a GREEN option for sides unfortunately, but its okay for a quick fix hunger.

Was looking forward to some fried chicken and catfish. Fried chicken was burnt and dry and I got shrimp instead of catfish!
