Nothing is more heart-warming than a few pieces of some fried chicken. Or maybe thats heartburn. Could be. I always put a gangload of hot sauce on these suckers. Hmm... nah, it must be heart-warming. Yeah, that sounds about right. Theres nothing that needs to be said in the specularity of Popeyes chicken. Its some straight up good commercialized fried chicken. I personally prefer Popeyes over KFC. KFC used to taste good... like, back when I was a kid. But when I eat it now, its a very minimal thrill. Popeyes one-ups KFC in the flavor department, big time. Especially with its "spicy" variety (which isnt really spicy at all, but more flavor than regular.) They have some pretty good sides too. Their mac n cheese, seasoned fries, and mac n cheese are pretty good. Biscuits here are nothing to talk about really. Theyre a bit bigger than your usual biscuit, but it tastes just about the same as whats out there. Oh yeah, their tuesday special, that cant be beat. All in all, Popeyes is a guilty little pleasure that anyone can enjoy. Theyre all over the place, pretty much. Its not mind-blowing eats, but when you need a quick fix for some pretty good fried chicken, it definitely gets the job done.

Ask for orders of Chicken Nuggets ONLY and Chicken Tenders ONLY and after a long debate, I get 2 HUGE boxes FULL of stuff (Ive never eaten here before but my son has). When I questioned the girl at the drivethru she tells me they put my side of mashed potatoes in the box. I get back on the highway and drive, open the box to eat, only to find the chicken COMPLETELY undercooked and biscuits and gravy in the box. My 11 year old son says they always come with the biscuits and gravy (we stopped for him really) but for the life of me I cant figure out WHY THE GIRL WHO WORKED THE DRIVETHRU DIDNT KNOW THAT?! And why didnt they just honor my request and REMOVE the stuff I didnt want? I realize I wasnt at Burger King and I guess I cant have it my way, but what happened to good ole fashioned Customer Service? Its not happening at this location...visited on March 12th around 530 pm.

They have always had good chicken. I havent tried everything on their menu but I did like the shrimp. The green beans are good but a tad bit on the spicy side. The biscuits arent half bad but overall its a good place for dining. Travelers will appreciate the easy access from the freeway.

Its fast food, and like most fast food the quality can be hit or miss. When the fryer has fresh oil its 4 stars! Too often though the oil is stale and the chicken is not as good.
