My wife and I celebrated my birthday, fathers day and our 10th anniversary at this resturant. We were told that the view was better than the food but that was not to be the case. We started with the calamari and the butter lettuce salad. As salad lovers the lettuce was a bit small, the calamari was a bit too large. The salad had great flavor, everything was delicious and fresh. The calamari was nicely fried and very light, not heavy as it often is. We just would have preferred a ton of salad and a few rings of calamari. The timing on the service was perfect. We never felt rushed and had all the time we needed to enjoy the view. I had the lamb rack and my wife the scallops. Often when you order the lamb you get 2 chops, the brought 5! All cooked to perfection and wonderfully tender. The scallops and their sauce were perfect, the rice in the middle left something to be desired; it was undercooked and chewy. For excellent food and one of the best views Ive ever experienced I would go back again for our 20th!

Update: Easter brunch was dandy. Now we just cant wait to keep heading back. =) I almost downgraded a star because I wanted the Reuben on the Easter Sunday, and there was no traditional Benedict either. WAaahh me. Those are uptown problems, eh? How about I was miffed that I forgot my delicious breakfast leftovers. =) 5 stars it is.... --- A wonderful spot hovering above Racoon Straits in Tiburon, across from Angel Island, which a panoramic view of Angel Island, the city of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and San Francisco Bay. Phenomenal chefs produce really wonderful brunch menus, and as Tiburon locals we cant *WAIT* to head back for dinner, as well as Easter. We just cant figure out why we havent visited since we lived here! A rare treat, with reasonable prices considering the quality & execution of the kitchen, the impeccable service, and unbelievable view. This place made me change my mantra about views being for tourists. This view is for us foodies, too!

So my boyfriend brought me here for out anniversary to surprise me. The view is gorgeous but the waiter brought the bill out while my boyfriend was calling a cab for us outside and I got a glimpse of it. Really pricey for food you can get elsewhere. The view is pretty but not worth the $50+ cab ride there and $50+ cab ride back. Save yourself the trouble and stay local. Service was great. Would recommend if you really want to surprise your honey or do something really special.

The Caprice has fantastic food that is slightly over-priced for the Bay Area (and the portions served) but is worth it for the view, atmosphere, and service. I have been 4 times already, and am taking my wife again this Saturday so it is obvious I am sold. The earlier complaint of poor service surprises me as all of the staff I have encountered have been extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Hmmm. I guess it happens anywhere that you get a bad waiter on a bad night.

Celebrating a special occasion, I enjoyed a family birthday dinner at Caprice. All the food is delicious, but I especially recommend any of the fish dishes. The wine selections and cocktails are also very good. The true selling factor for Caprice is the location. The restaurant has amazing views because it is literally elevated above the water on the SF Bay in Tiburon. Its a sure winner for a great date, family celebration, or simply a beautiful night of any kind.

Great little gem hidden in beautiful tiburon. Nothing gets better than in a cozy place with the great view of sun setting at Golden Gate Bridge to paint a golden sky, and the moon rise behind angel island, shine a bright light on the dark silky bay. Service is the best, food is delicate. If you are looking for a romantic night, or a family night out, or to have a pleasant conversation with your business partner, this is the place you want to be.

Really terrific setting (saw a huge meteor, dolphins, a sea lion, pelicans, a beautiful sunset), reallly good food (everything we had), really good service (except for the maitred looking down his nose a bit at our not being better-dressed - we were dressed in travel-moderate), really good house wines. We left with the glow of a much-enjoyed evening. We have a new celebration restaurant!

View is great -- service is good -- food is very bad. To top, got charged 18% service charge for 2 people?!?!?! They have a special menu for Groupon discount, you can not order from the regular menu -- be warned -- the selections are next to none. Will never go back. And dont get me started with the mixed drinks... :-( :-( :-(

Fantastic view on a clear day! That said, could use some work: Steak was a little over-done, and the sole did not taste fresh - perhaps it was also overdone. Vegetables, salad, and sides were great.

Went there for Valentines Day dinner this year. Really romantic and definitely worth it, the views are spectacular! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a pleasant quiet meal.

AMAZING view, and spectacular food. Had the risotto with chorizo, mussels, clams, lobster, and scallops. Quite the combination. All the seafood soaks up the savory taste of the chorizo.

Adorable little spot, food is great, view is very nice, only issue was with the valet guy, hes a grumpy rude man and drives peoples cars like hes in the indy 500.
