If this was not already my favorite Japanese food restaurant, it would be now, but it is and now its my favorite all time restaurant as well! I have been going here for years and I have never been disappointed in the food OR the service. Its no easy feat to consistently have both great food and service, but last Sunday they really did something awesome. I accidentally left my expensive leather wallet in the restaurant, complete with ID, credit card, and a crisp 100 dollar bill. I did not notice this until Monday morning and given that they were closed Monday, I called first thing Tuesday to see if by chance it was there. It was, complete with $100 bill! It is so refreshing to know that honest people exist. THANK YOU, YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!

I like the ambience of this restaurant. I have generally liked the food. The restrooms are clean. I went there for lunch today with my mom and we both had very strong MSG reactions (were really sensitive to the stuff)- dry mouth, thirsty. etc. I called and asked if they use MSG in their food and the answer was "yes we do." I dont like my food being dosed with MSG and I dont like not being told they use it until I call experiencing side effects.

Ive been going to this place for years, and their food has been consistently good. Bento boxes and sushi are a main staple order, but nothing outstanding. Their kamameshi rice is uniquely presented and is quite tasty, especially the kani kamameshi. The servers are nice and attentive, and the restaurant is presentable and clean. Unfortunately, the place is hidden ever since they moved from Westborough Square after the renovation years ago.

Who doesnt know the Strand? :-) So, in short: probably one of the best bookstores - the concept, selection, location, price policy (there are always slight discounts versus the same titles at other stores). Also, the supporting merchandise is cool. One can spend the whole day (and not just one) here and definitely leave with the purchase.

When I went I had a wonderful quiet expirience. It was very relaxed and the place gave a wholesome peaceful meal. It is rare that I give five stars but I love to suggest this place for dates or just of you want a moment to get away from the hustle.

First time here. Sadly did not try the kamameshi, since it seemed like a big portion. The chirashi was okay. Service was pretty good. Will come back to try the kamameshi and other stuff.

They seem to have made a speciality of crispiness: the tempura, the tonkatsu and even the gyoza were crispy, not soggy at all. Good value for the price.
