I walked into this diner on a Thursday morning and there were 2 waitresses and the manager standing behind the counter. All 3 looked at me, none said a word. Usually at any diner I go to, even when everyone is busy they managed to use the muscles of their mouth to say good morning. Basic customer service right? I sat down at the counter, they scattered, still no one said anything to me. A waitress then came back and finally said good morning and gave me a menu. Just got the greek omelette with a side of bacon and sausage. Not memorable at all. Also usually at any restaurant so.eone comes back to ask if everything is ok or if you need something, my waitress never returned. She didnt even return to give me a check! I honestly have no idea where she disappeared to because after she handed me my food she never came back around. I actually wanted to order something else, but I asked the manager for the check instead, because I needed to leave ASAP. I just couldnt stand being in the place any longer. There are many diners in Westchester County and we usually become frequent customers due to excellent customer service. The service at this place was horrible for anyone new to there stopping by. I recommend passing on this place and going elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a bite during our way through. After ordering and receiving our food the waitess never came back to check on us. Instead she took a seat in the booth directly behind us (out of sight) and talked with a friend the entire time. After setting our plates aside to be taken, another waitress walked by and glared twice without any acknowledgement while ours continued chatting. We wanted to order dessert but changed our minds after determining this joint was not interested in any more of our business. A few minutes later new patrons came in when her boss shouted to her to take care of them. After that, she came back and asked if we wanted anything else. We took the check and left a very minimal tip and we are always very generous tippers. There is truth to getting what you work for, this establishment is not worth your dollar! PS. As soon as we left the waitress jumped right up and grabbed the money.

I have passed by this diner hundreds of times going back to when Empire Casino was Yonkers Raceway but never stopped in to eat until this year. Ive always admired the nostalgic neon & bulb sign and am glad that the food matched up with the ambiance of the diner. The fried calamari I had was perfectly breaded and lightly seasoned. The service was swift and polite and the owner/manager made sure to ask us how everything was and we exchanged small talk while paying at the front register. Small details like this keep customers. Their desserts looks AMAZING... gotta go back to get a slice of the chocolate cream pie!

I stayed at a Hotel around the Corner, for 7 weeks for Work. I ate here often. Very consistent quality. Food Quality has always been really good. Even the NY Strip, and Steak and Eggs is as good as any Fine Italian Restaurant. Definitely a quality Juicy Steak, with the Checkered Grill Marks. Chicken Parm is as good as any fine Italian Restaurant. Breakfast always Stellar. The Staff has been really welcoming, and made me feel like Family at times. Always have a really good experience.

Old style dinner with good food. When i visit a dinner, all i want is fresh food, quick service, and some space. I got good food here, I got quick service, but i didnt get enough space. But it is still a great spot, that worth the stop. Classic dinner, not far from the casino. I will return here again, next time i will choose a booth. Comparing to the industrial food they serve you at the casino, do yourself a favor, and stop here the next time you visit the Raceway.

The waiter was Was friendly but didnt give adequate time to look at menu. I ordered a turkey burger and I enjoyed it. Food here is good. Atmosphere is okay. Not all staff were friendly. I was able to see a few staff Members rolling their eyes when they saw my friends and I laughing. DO NOT ORDER DESSERT. We ordered strawberry shortcake, cheesecake, apple pie ala mode, brownie ala mode. Disgusting quality dessert and not fresh at all. Dessert was very bad.

I like this diner i have tried a list of different foods here at many different days and i must say the food always taste pretty good for diner food. Alot of choices of foods but i tend to stick to the foods that are picked the most since their menu goes on for days and years LOL. either way the food is great and the prices are even better. Parking is always pretty good. The best part is this diner is opened 24/7

Angel is an amazing waiter! The best they have there. The coffee is always fresh and hot. Breakfast is so good. Old fashion french toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon, all made perfect and delicious. Lunch or dinner meals are always great! Paninis are all really yummy. And as a side the honey mustard is amazing!!! You need to stop here for a classic NY diner meal.

This is my first time ever written about a business but I feel I have to. The service was ok but the food was bad I order the nachos and I found a few hairs the waitres came back and took the plate back then I order something simple to make I order wings took a big bite and the center of the chicken wing was ice cold smh last time going to that place

No matter what, the Raceway dinner will always be open for business. I am a bit disappointed because I feel the quality in food has gone down, but at least the staff always remains friendly and attentive. I wish the food was back on par with what the staff brings, because i would instantly give it 5 stars, but its definitely lacking its former glory

Not good, the waitress did not ask us one time if we needed anything. My husband food was cold and had to ask for a new plate, i also had to ask another waitress for another cup of coffee and my husband did as well for another glasss of water. We went there 3AM, and it was not busy. We are never going back that time of morning.

I visited this place like 10 years ago and it was disgusting so I never went back in there. But today I decided to give it another chance and Im glad I did. The service was good, Food was great and it was clean. As soon as we entered the Diner they were quick to acknowledge us and we were immediately seated. Keep it up

Wonderfully friendly staff, and way better than average diner fare. My breakfast partner and I were left alone for nearly 2 hours as we talked, only being interrupted to be asked if we wanted more coffee! I had tea, but was given a fresh cup and a fresh tea bag. Loss leader I know, but that was very nice!

Ive eaten here more than you could ever imagine and the experience is always good. Sometime the pancakes are okay, sometimes theyre fricken amazing. Same goes for all meals, thing is, theyre never bad. Plus, unlike the other diner down the street, Ive never once got sick from their food.
