If waterfront dining in ideal romantic settings with a vista of the city of San Francisco across the bay sounds appealing, then Luna Blu is an experience you must try. I came here on my honeymoon and found the most warm, elegant ambiance in a beautiful locale with views of the San Francisco Bay and skyline of San Francisco. Wild bougainvillea and fragrant fresh roses adorned the outside dining space that was kept at the perfect temperature by outdoor heaters leaving me comfortably warm and relaxed and engaging all senses of sight, smell, touch. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being obtrusive allowing for the perfect romantic date. I selected the Cioppino of fresh Salmon, monkfish, clams, mussels, calamari, prawns in a light tomato garlic broth. I asked for sommelier suggestions and with the servers in depth knowledge of wine (both its region and unique characteristics) chose a white feudo maccari from Sicilia. My entree was exquisite with aromatic layered flavors and tender saporific textures melting on the palate. If I wasnt on a romantic date, I honestly would have probably licked the plate. The wine was opulent, refined, intellectually satisfying and crisp with a hint of fruit. The entire experience was perfect from the moment I entered the restaurant with its twinkling blue lights and expansive paintings and smiles welcoming me. This is not only the best Italian and Seafood Ive ever had, it is also the most romantic restaurant Ive ever encountered. Its the perfect setting for honeymoons, proposals or anniversary dinners. Its not just a high caliber restaurant, it is a complete romantic memory waiting to be experienced. Luna Blu is the place for romance, a MUST for anyone looking to have their senses heightened with delicious food, delectable wines and a seriously romantic setting.

Best food in Marin and best place for serious food allergies -- on the water with a beautiful view of SF! The owners of this restaurant really get it. Crystal and her husband, Renzo who is also the chef, really understand the seriousness of food allergies and are such lovely people -- they really go above and beyond in their customer service. We were introduced to Luna Blu for a private party and it is our go to place now. The food is amazing - everything we have had on the menu is excellent, from the tomato soup to the sandwiches, pasta and meat dishes. And they are a partner with Monterey Bay Seafood Watch Program which is awesome. You can tell the owners really take pride in customer service and in the meals they prepare -- fresh, whole ingredients worth every penny! The restaurant is cute and reminds me of a place in Europe. There are heat lamps outside when it gets cooler and they have blankets. The best, however, was their willingness to accommodate our daughters anaphylactic food allergy. They were wonderfully attentive, taking the necessary precautions at every step in the food prep process to take meticulous care that everyone in the party was safe. The chef even came out to talk with us about preparation. Crystal and Renzo are wonderful to work with -- all the staff are so warm and friendly. Cant say enough good things about this place, the owners, and their staff. It is so great to eat out carefree as an allergy family and finally find a restaurant that serves EXCELLENT, tasty food and is safe for our daughter! Thank you Luna Blu!

Top notch cuisine at fair prices. The place is a modern style (with classic touches) restaurant with a large balcony out the back overlooking the bay. Started off with a melon, ham capicola and rocket number which was indulgent to say the least; could have pigged out on that all night. Very light, succulent and refreshing. Moved onto fish and chips which is a rarity to find decent quality fish n chips anywhere in the US. We both recently ate a restaurant at Sea Port village in San Diego and the fish and chips were at best edible. At Luna Blu it was a highlight of my visit to the US thus far, my partner enjoyed it also; Im a sucker for mushy peas. As for quaffing I had a good gander through the wines and beers and went for a couple of Italian beers, but the missus tried a couple of wines a montepulciano and I believe a malbec which both received thumbs up. The staff were easy going yet professional, so we did not feel rushed and enjoyed our grub and left merry.

We enjoyed Luna Blu Restaurant in Tiburon so much. Renzo and Crystal Azzarello, the owners, are delightful hosts. The ambiance is cheerful and welcoming. Tables all had garden picked multi-colored roses on them, which I loved. We sat outside, blankets were waiting hung on the back of our chairs for our arrival. My friend mentioned how much she appreciated the real candles on our table. To me it immediately feels warm, cozy and romantic. We ordered burrata and tuna tartare for appetizers, both were yummy. Most of our table ordered the cioppino and it was one of those dishes we all couldnt stop talking about, it was so so so delicious. Wish I could remember what pinot we ordered, but that was very good too (mostly black bottle). The service was very good as well. Five stars. Thank you Renzo and Crystal for delightful experience.

Lovely Italian restaurant on Main Street on the water. We sat on the heated patio for dinner and were quite warm. They also have blankets if you need it. With the flame heaters and twinkle lights, the Pati was quite romantic and enchanting. For our antipasto we had the Crostini Misti which was really good. For dinner we had Linguine Alle Vongole which had yummy clams, and we had the perfectly AL dente Mezzalune Di Ricotta E Spinachi. The chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Gelato was heaven. Not sure which champagne we had but it was fab as well. Thanks for a wonderful evening. Service was incredible. We will come again!

I found this amazing little place on Trip Advisor as the best Italian restaurant in the Bay Area. Coming from New York I was very skeptical I would find good Italian food on the west coast. This place was absolutely phenomenal, the food was very tasty, well cooked and the flavors were well balanced. Whether you are a local, from the east coast or even from Italy and visiting the Bay Area I would highly recommend this place for great food, beautiful views and excellent service. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time.

Funky little Italian restaurant, with a spunky and welcoming British manager/owner. From our appetizers to our coffee and dessert, the whole experience was outstanding. The service made everyone at the table feel welcomed and the menu was full of excellent (and reasonably-priced) options. There is a nice patio area outside, and though it was a little too chilly to stay out there the whole time, we enjoyed a nice cappuccino and dessert out on the water. This is your best bet for a great dinner in Tiburon!

We are tourists visiting from east coast, tried this place on our way up to wine country. My girlfriend had the mussel soup for app, and then the salmon salad for the entree. The mussel soup was decent, the salmon salad was simple but delicious and well done. I had two appetizers, the calamari and the tuna tartare. The tuna tartare was very good, made with ginger, avocado, and sesame seeds. The calamari was your standard fare, but came with fried zucchini which gave it a plus.
