As expected.... I will never rate somewhere until I have been there more than once, because a single experience will not give the right overall impression. So, after my second visit i can say - "Ill never go back" - Server was a trainee: Typically dont have a problem with this but 1. His fingernails looked like he did an oil change. 2. dont tell me you are training. 3. Delivered drinks with no ice - typical cop-out for people that dont want to run 3-4 drinks to a table. - Ordered a side salad: Lettuce was brown and wilted. - Ordered Sea Bass: I was brought tuna (a steak cut), and had to send it back, and it was over cooked and looked like it could be cut from a stuffed fish on the wall. My wife ordered the same thing, and hers was indeed sea bass but was a (tail) fillet cut. Still not a win, because the fish was raw, and uncooked. Even then if someone orders the same thing please dont send out two completely looking different cuts of fish. So, after sending both back we finally got new plates. The side dishes were not re-portioned, but left out as the new fish was cooked. We had cold side dishes, and hot fish. The potatoes tasted like instant (from a box) Steamed vegetables were frozen prepackaged, and didnt look fresh at all. Rice was overcooked and clumpy almost a mushy. Every time I took a bite I was reminded of the dirty fingernails of the waiter. I conclude with this - drive somewhere else to get fish or cook it yourself.

I went for dinner and I ordered a calamaris appetizer and for an entree Red Snapper. The calamari were not edible. Had to be frozen . I tasted one ring and you could not chew on it. The place was almost empty. After waiting for over 35 minutes for my entree to arrive, I got up and went to look for the manager. I brought to his attention the problems. He showed an erratical behavior and a distraught appearance. He escorted me to the door and told me to leave the premise. I was extremely polite, but firm and during this encounter outside the premise, we had a long conversation and he pushed me with his body "threatening" me to call the Police (sic). It was flabbergasting and surprised by his behavior and actions. This guy was like a vagrant mine ready to explode any time. I left and told him I would escalate the occurrence with the Corporate office. Believe it or not, Market Broiler does not list their telephone number. I am surprised how can they stay in business with a store like the one in Simi Valley. It was pathetic and extremely embarrassing! P.S. One star is too much.

I have been here many times, unfortunately the last few times havent been that great,a while ago my son found a piece of the frying basket in his food,Last night I had 4 of the tiniest oysters, which I think could have fitted on a soup spoon ,all four of them, the banging chicken and rice was tasteless chicken with no flavor or spice after I specifically requested it hot and spicy. The rice was a paste, and looked like it had been cooked for several hours and was one large clump.Ive had undercooked fish here before ,so the standards seem to be dropping in quality of food.Service is ok. My first visit was excellent and I thought Id found a good seafood restaurant,no longer. On a better note my wifes salmon was ok.I will not be returning I found the food very second rate

I was pretty hesitant to come here based on all the bad reviews, but was positively suprised how much I enjoyed my meal here. I had the spicy tuna roll which was pretty good (didnt have extremely high hopes, its off the happy hour menu) and glazed salmon which was incredible. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was very fresh tasting. Rob the bartender was extremely friendly and made a hell of a martini. He invited me to his show but sadly could not make it. I would recommend to anyone and would definitely come back!

Service was very slow we sat there for an hour before we got our food and they were not busy at all. My daughter didnt even eat her dinner because it was gross. When I told the waitress she just said sorry u should have told me sooner didnt even offer to take it off the bill. Well I couldnt tell her sooner because she never came back to the table to check on us. Oh did I mention it was a large party of 10. So they charged 18% gratuity WOW for service we didnt even get!!!! I will never go back to this place again!!!!

Passing through Simi on the way home and what a find. The food was very good, potions were ample and service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable as I had the Tuesday steak/shrimp special. It was only $14.95 and was more than I could eat. My wife had fish & chips with the fries subbed out for vegetables, both meals were delicious. All things considered we now have a dinner stop in Simi Valley that we can count on. We certainly recommend Market Broiler for dinner.

I walked in and the hostess seated me. The place was almost empty. I then sat for over 20 minutes with no service. I walked around a little but there was no staff. I approached the bar but the bar tender took off for the back. I waited a while longer. At 1:35, more than 30 minutes after I walked in the door, I walked and went to another restaurant. The food wasnt great the last time I visited but I wanted to try again. No more. Im done with them.

I ordered the artic cod fish and chips: the fist was rubbery inside and hard as a rock outside. I had to use my Girlfriends crab cracker to open them up and a pool of oil spilt out onto the plate. The batter they used was just awful, and the cod that they used was sub-par and tasted veaugly like dish soap. Ive come many times and have had similar caliber food everytime all with different meals

OK I dont want to sound childish but yes I did go to a famous seafood place and order chicken. However the chicken was good, the free bread & butter was great and our server Anya was the best. She really knew the menu and what to eat but more importantly she always made sure we were taken care of since it was our first time here. Thank you Anya.

The managers arranged a party for us in the private room that was flawless. Talk to Dave or Eric they will take very good care of you. The food and service were excellent and the entire staff was committed to helping us have a wonderful party. We will definitely be back!

“Delicious chicken shawarma!” Loved what I got for dinner. Its not inexpensive but I believe in the saying you get what you pay for. With food as good as theirs, Id say the price is worth it. Plus, the serving is big so its usually good for two meals! Id be back..

Great happy hour prices and selections. I seem to forget about this place when eating out and dont know why. The food is good, the staff are friendly, and the prices are not bad. This is definitely one of the nicer places to eat in Simi Valley.
