Stopped here on a whim because it was close to home and it was going to be a quick meal. Although this is a small restaurant, we were easily seated. The ambiance is very homey, lots of pots and pans and kitchen things on the walls. Old vintage pictures of family and some string instruments also were used as décor. The menu is typically Greek food, but if you are not into Greek food, there is a larger than large selection of burgers to choose from, along with salads galore. Our waitress told us about the nights specials of whole fish and other fresh fish entrees which sounded really delicious, but we stuck with the quick Gyro. I had the chicken gyro with my side of lemon potatoes. It was a large portion, fresh and very tasty. Sorry I forgot the picture this time, but I was a member of the clean plate club tonight. "G" ordered the regular gyro with the side of vegetable soup. I did not hear any complaints from that side of the table. We saw other patrons with different versions of kebabs and salads. There were quite an array of different orders within the restaurant. When I came in to be seated, it looked as if the owner was serving dinner to a couple who was less fortunate than the rest of us. It was so refreshing to see that an establish was taking the time to care for others who needed a little help. For that reason alone I would probably come back here, plus I did eye the hamburger and it looked amazing. There is some outside seating and parking is on the street but no meters.

I have ordered from this particular restaurant many times, however, my last order had me hugging the porcelain king all night. I ordered the GFK Salad with grilled chicken and tiramisu. Because the salad is fairly large, I shared it with a friend. While I didnt question the taste of the salad, I did question the taste of the tiramisu. It was a bit sour (I should I known better). My friend said it was probably the cocoa powder on the top. We both shared the same meal and both had the same reaction later that evening! IT WAS HORRIBLE! The worst food poisoning Ive ever encountered. It left us both ill the next day. Never again!!!

I come here monthly and I was always more then happy with the food so my fiancee decided to have her bridal shower here. The owner took real good care of us even with our special requests (2 guests are gluten free and another a strict vegetarian) the back room is gorgeous and is seperate from the restaurant. The food was amazing as usual and we had no issues thank you gfk!! Btw I cant pronounce it but I strongly recommend the spicy feta cheese dip. (Theokraftree or somthing like that)

The Gatsbys would always come here for lunch. We would get the lunch special. Greg L and Allan F would get the chicken with rice and I would get the gyro meat with a salad. Those were the good times. The food was good but now the three of us dont go to lunch anymore. I wish things were different. What I would give to have it all back. RIP Gatsbys. GREAT STAFF! GREAT FOOD!

First time I walked in. They were all very professional and nice people willing to accommodate. I ordered the Gluten free Falafel and Chicken nuggets. Both were very well seasoned and delicious! They make Everything on the spot! So there will be a tad bit of a wait. However, they let you call in advance! Place is neat and clean!

Delicious foods! From the soup to the entrée! Very decorative as well. Authentic music played as we ate grilled calamari, goat cheese croquet, vegetable soup loaded that Im sure will cure all known diseases. Falafel was perfect too! The service was quick and very kind. Definitely a neighborhood gem we stumbled upon.

The best Greek cuisine in the area hands down! Its nice to know I dont have to drudge myself all the way to Astoria or Long Island City for some great Greek food. A local gem of a restaurant, indeed. As a lover of quality food, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You wont be disappointed ☺

The worst Greek food I had ever tried ever! The grilled octopus is not as tender as I try in other Greek restaurant, rolled sandwich got cancelled because there was a fly stick on it. They like white customer more than others I guess. Hard to say there will be a second time .
