I have tried this place several times in an effort to support a black family owned business and each time I try my service is horrible. The last time I visited I waited so long to be served as I watched in hungry horror, a group of women being served as soon as they sat down. I went to the counter as soon as I came in, and ordered the black eyed pea soup to eat while I wait on a friend. The young man told me hed bring it to my table but never did. Even after my friend arrived I still hadnt received my soup nor had my friend been greeted to place an order after sitting and talking for over 20 min. Im almost six months pregnant so Im very irritated at this point after watching the table of four women being served. I had to get up and go to the counter to request my soup again. One of the women did apologize for the wait but the service for the remainder of our visit continued to be horrible. Staff wasnt rude just untrained in skilled customer service. I think this was my last visit. Would recommend the soup and desserts to others but definitely would warn them of what to expect on the service level. I really hope they get it together soon.

My good male friend took me here and I had a ball!! I dont know whats better the muffins or the ice cream!! This place is gem tucked in the Grand River/Lahser area!! Had gone past it lots of times before someone took me there!! Stop and go in there,you wont regret it!! Im always going back to get more muffins,theyre delicious any time,week days or weekends!! I recently took a friend and they were like how did I drive past it all this time!! Diffenently worth stopping in..dont let the neighborhood fool you!! Its a great place!! If you go once youll go back like I do!!

I can describe my experience in just one word (terrible) beginning with the service very poor, the food that I purchased was cookies and the lemon crisp, that within minutes of eating I thought I had been poison due to all the artificial sweeter that had a very bitter after taste , I also purchased two small Potato pies that was ok but nothing special, in all I think that the products that I purchased was way over priced and the area I also found to be very frightening so frightening I almost changed my mind and drove off ..not hating just and unsatisfied customer.

Everything is awesome. Try the turkey sandwich on croissant or the sweet potato cookies, or the chicken and sweet potato waffles, or the spiced turkey sausage with sweet potato pancakes or the Fancy Schmancy cupcakes, or anything else on the menu! You wont be disappointed.

Sweet Potato heaven on earth! I love this place! It is totally worth coming to the D for this place. The staff is super friendly, the food tastes fantastic, everything has a sweet potato flavor to it, and the prices are great. Mom and pop feel with genuine recipes.

My oh my, you must try try the sweet potato cake for the cream cheese frosting! The sweet potato pecan pie and sweet potato ice cream is amazing too. Really a heavenly experience for those who like sweet potatoes.
