Weve been here several times since they opened and have not been disappointed with any of their food. The hibachi side of the restaurant is similar to a Benihana (or Sapporo in Monterey for that matter), but I think they give you a larger portion of food here. While many hibachi restaurants give you fried rice as part of your meal, Fujiyama goes a step further and also gives you a side of noodles, hibachi style. The dining room side of the restaurant is also very good; weve tried several dishes for both lunch and dinner and everything was very tasty, nicely plated, and reasonably priced for the amount of food served.

Wow!! I was so surprised when we walked into the door. Beautifully refurbished and plenty of room. Very clean and staff very friendly. We chose Habachi and was not disappointed. Well trained cooks friendly and entertaining. The food was above delicious, with plenty of left overs. Soup, salad, fried rice, noodles, vegetables, shrimp and our entree made for a delicious meal. I will definitely return and schedule business and personal celebrations too. Welcome to Salinas!!

I went here for lunch a few weeks back. Talk about dinner and a show! So much fun! The rice was some of the best I ever had. The filet mingon was to die for. The service was fast, friendly and entertaining. My only gripe is that the scallops were inedible. The cook on them was incorrect. They were rubbery and unpleasant so I left them alone. Other than that the lobster was great and I will definitely return!

Service was horrible. I went in on a Sunday afternoon. The place had around ten tables (a little less than half full). Staff was extremely unattentive and rude. The wait staff here seriously needs training. Its simply not okay to offer that caliber of service. Especially when Monterey has two spots that offer this style dining.

Great atmosphere, GREAT food, fabulous presentation, attentive staff, amiable as well, always happy to help and if need be, happily explain everything on menu in down to earth way.. I keep coming back to this place and I love it! The sushi chef outdoes himself every time!

Huge portions, delicious food, and beautiful presentation. The teriyaki chicken looked absolutely gorgeous and the chicken katsu don was a visual treat as well. We loved both plates, and our server was well-informed and friendly. We intend to return!

Excellent food and service. The to go orders are seperated, hot food in one cold in the other. My order has never been wrong. Lastly, their take out containers are not cheap and flimsy. Overall its great food and they pay attention to detail.

The waitresses were unfriendly and very standoffish to the customers. I also could smell dirty water coming from one of the drains by the table through the whole dining experience. The plus side, the Chef was GREAT and the food was good.

Been here about 5 times, always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Waitresses have always been friendly. Person who said waitresses are unfriendly must be unfriendly themselves. Service has been great all 5 times Ive been here.

My last visit to Ginos was just okay. I had the sand dabs which were breaded but the breading was falling off.....could have been crisper, in my opinion. My friend had the squash raviolis which he totally enjoyed.

This restaurant is has a nicely appointed interior with a most efficient wait staff. Each order was bountiful and very artistically presented, and delicious. Dont go anywhere else.

The food is very good if you sit at the hibachi tables or in the regular dining area. The sushi is great as well. I recommend this restaurant.
