I just came home from a Great and enjoyable eating experience and couldnt wait to post a review. I was doing some business in north Salinas and really felt like eating some Japanese food for lunch....so I decided to give this restaurant a try. First, I was greeted and once seated, my friendly server began bringing me food before I had even ordered, edamame, cucumber salad, miso soup...wow! I ordered my entree, tempura...delicious. ...Evevything was delicious! ! I remember eating here a few years ago, and it wasnt a very good experience, so I asked my server what has changed, new management.? She said new owners. Im so glad I gave this restaurant another try, and I know this will be my restaurant to go for Japanese food in Salinas....5 stars!

Students are working in a culinary academy on this site and offer dinners most nights. I urge you to support this fantastic learning program, and as a bonus, have an outstanding dinner. Check out their website for times and menus. Do not forget to look at the youth-building programs provided. Overall, it was inspirational, plus the food was first-rate. The servers and cooks are young people learing a valuable trade, and are eager and charming. Go!!

Good sushi dinner was served promptly however the check took an eternity to arrive, but did apologize for forgetting us. Staff not particularly attentive, food was what a restaurant should serve, nothing extraordinary. nice decor although a few items un-classic Japanese and tacky like Christmas lights. Higher price than comparable places, portions can be weak depending on the dish. This place is "good enough" just doesnt excel. plenty of parking

The food was okay for a japanese/korean place. They did give us complimentary sushi, soup, and cucumbers which were good. We ordered the ramen/noodles thinking they were Japanese ramen, but it was Korean ramen. The portions were really big. We also ordered the combo with tofu soup and short ribs, it was okay.

My mothers last wish was for their quisine so I was getting her meal and saw bibimbap on the menu. I ordered it and it was presented very beautifully and tasted amazing! Thank you for making my moms last meals amazing and giving me the opportunity to enjoy a very well done bibimbap.

Super amazeballs sushi! I dared to compare it to Ocean Blue Sushi Club in Sunnyvale, CA and turns out they used to be business partners. Definitely the best sushi in Salinas hands down. Not even the busted ass places you think SHOULD be good in Monterey can touch this quality.

Great place to have dinner with friends and family. The atmosphere is more family oriented than I love sushi in Santa Cruz, Mr. Kims other sushi restaurant. However the food is very good and the menu is very extensive. Try the cajun tuna appetizer.

The experience was super, I went with my boyfriend, and I felt like went I go to San Francisco the food and service was really good, the only bad thing is the water was really bad, but I still give 5 stars, cause food and service was really good.
