If you want some good home cooked Jamaican food then go to the Right Taste. I read what some People are saying in their Jamaican food postings. Yes you can get too much rice at times or you can be served more bone then meat on some plates. This is why you need to check what your paying for before you leave. I know the Right Taste shows you the order before He or She packs its to go. So if you want the BEST Jerk Pork in Boston then go there & make sure Karen is in the kitchen cooking. * Ever since this New York based commercial fast food type Restaurant chain came to Mattapan, The Right Taste has added discounted plates to their menue & they are open later then 6:00 PM *

I crave their escoviche snapper, a fav of mine being pesco-vegetarian, although at times its too spicy even for me! They are great people I frequent regularly, and long term for takeout as theres limited seating. I always try to introduce my friends whove enjoyed what they got as well. Its also a place to find flyers about upcoming local, reggae/other shows you may not have heard about. I wish them many more years of tasty success.

I am a woman of Caribbean decent. We drove from Quincy to Mattapan, believing we would get genuine Carribean food. What a disappointment. First of all the food did not have the taste of the Caribbean, and it was old, finally, the decor of the Resteraunt was drab!

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE ,THEY DONT START COOKING CURRY GOAT UNTIL 2PM WHEN THEY CLOSE AT 6PM. WHEN THATS THE BEST THING ON THE MENU IN MY OPINION. THEY ALWAYS HAVE A NASTY ATTITUDE AND HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOOOO IDEA WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS.
