We have eaten here for many years, but this recent visit wasnt up to their typical standard. My wife ordered a pasta dish, but with gluten free pasta. In general, sometimes its obvious when pasta is gluten free while other times its not, depending on the type of gluten free flour used. In this case, it wasnt immediately obvious that the pasta was or was not gluten free. On the drive home, she began to feel the digestive signs of gluten in her system. The server either didnt communicate to the kitchen that she required gluten free, even though is was noted on the bill, or the kitchen ignored the request and served a standard gluten based pasta. When requesting a change, thats listed on the menu as an available option, the customer puts trust into the business that they will meet that request. Tonight, Cucina Paradiso lost our trust.

My husband and i keep going back here for more. The food is excellent, and i mean not just well executed but wi sophisticated flavors and depth. Nothing wacky or amazingly cutting edge but yes to different and amazing tastes. Cant recommend it enough and bearing in mind the prices, an amazing deal. The service is always top notch. While the location and size is problematic (small and in a strip mall), its lovely inside and cozy. Definitely good for romance as well. The beef medallions are out of this world and no knife needed they are THAT tender. ..sigh....its just friggin good, ok? About the person who had a problem wi the gnocchi...yes...that had to be an off night! Ive been there repeatedly and never been disappointed. :-) yum!

My husband made reservations a week in advance of my birthday. Our daughter would accompany us. When we arrived on time we waited 15 minutes. Other parties with more people and less were seated before us. At last the hostess came and we went to our table. The table was located in the back room. It was a table for two although we were three. My daughters chair was against a door which led out of the restaurant. People were coming and going. It was disruptive. There were large groups of people at tables and the noise level was deafening. We ordered an appetizer and salad with our meals. The table was crowded. The salad was to have blue cheese. There was none. The food was good however our experience was poor.

this is a great little italian restaurant located in the heart of downtown Petaluma. Even though I had only been there once, I could tell this was a popular spot for locals due to way the waiters were interacting with the customers. Ordered the Rigatoni Alla Carcerata that came with with sausage, roasted peppers, peas, and light tomato cream sauce. The sauce was just thick enough to lap up with the fresh bread that was provided. My friend ordered the Spaghetti Cozze E Vongole with clams and mussels in a marinara sauce. The mussels were the biggest and juiciest that I had ever seen. highly recommend this place.

I have had many meals at at Cucina - everyone of them has been outstanding. In other words I have yet to have one I didnt like. When I say many I mean at least 50. Beyond the food there is something else. It just has that "it" quality. They just know how to make you feel like you belong there. Franco is truly the best at knowing what we need all through the experience. The entire staff is terrific. Oh and do mean experience. Thats what makes them different and thats what makes them special. I hope you will enjoy the time you spend with them as much as my family, friends and clients have.

This is a really good up-scale Italian restaurant with full bar. Good place for a date or a family meal. Can be noisy on the weekend. It’s fairly expensive, but for the quality it was worth it. Don’t try parking on the street - it’s usually packed, but there are free parking lots only 2 blocks from the restaurant. Had the Rigatoni Alla Carcerata and it was great. Sausage, peppers, and a delicious cream sauce. Friend had the clams and mussels in a marinara sauce and tried one - excellent. Highly recommend this one.

Somehow better for a business lunch with its open dining room and white table cloths the food is consistently quite good. You will not be surprised which can be both good and bad. The only thing not up to par here is the bread which is mysteriously lacking. Great staff and service! They recently went into furniture moving mode for our party of 6 when we walked in without a reservation.

Food was ok, nothing special. The wait, however, was an hour after you order. Appertizer came out really fast but the food is not worth waiting at all. My wife got a Fussini aka pasta with crab meat. Crab meat was fresh but its pretty much pasta, crab meat and alfredo sauce. The veal i ordered came with 3 thin slice of veal and some mixed veggie. Definitely not worth an hour wait.

Food is fantastic. Service varies. I think because of their popularity, they do squeeze in, and I was once advised that they could immediately seat our 4 some if we arried within 5 minutes. We did arrive within 5 minutes only to have the hostess deny everything. Also, they had similarly advised several other coulples. We all left the without so much as an appology.

Fine dining as you would expect it with one exception: its a very noisy place to dine. I strongly suggest consulting with an acoustic engineer to find a way to treat the walls and ceilings in order to mitigate the sound reverberations. This could contribute to a more relaxed atmosphere in both the main and rear dining rooms.

Top-level Italian restaurant with full bar. Great for dates or family, noisy on busy nights. Pretty expensive for Petaluma ($60-80/person including wine) but a fair value. One of my favorites. But: On-street parking (chancy) with 2 free parking garages 2-3 blocks away

Petaluma prices cheaper than those in San Francisco tonight ... this incredible Italian food, good service, very traditional dishes, tomato bread soup, roast white wine Haihong clams, crab pasta, deep sea perch. Yummy yummy

Food is ok if you dont cook. old server has attitude, young server is better. Its noisy if you sat in big room and slower service if you sat in the back room. We heard this place and tried it but not really happy.

Beautiful food and wonderful service conveniently located in downtown Petaluma. They have a small banquet room for large family gatherings. All four courses were delicious. Compliments to the chef and manager.

It was apparent by the owners demeanor the excellent reviews he has received have gone to his head. I am afraid the food did not merit the raves I have seen. My meal was average, my wifes somewhat better.

Best restaurant in town. Consistently excellent service from professional wait staff. Awesome food from owner-chef Dennis Hernandez. Great cocktails too. Back room is a bit quieter during busy times.

This is a wonderful place for individual dinner or for taking a group. The service is phenomenal and food.... well it is outstanding! If you are ever in Petaluma you must give Cucina Paradiso a try.

I have been going to this restaurant for almost 20 years, started at the old location and of course followed them to the new. I have never had a bad meal, the food is fantastic. Dan T

The food was excellent as was the location, service and decor. We travel to a lot of places and this was by far one of our better experiences. Prices were very reasonable.
