On saturday, I went to this restaurant and at the end of the meal, the waitress was snobby with me for not asking for separate checks at the beginning of the meal and tried to give me an etiquette lesson that it should be expected of the customer to ask for separate checks when they are seated. So I sent an email to the restaurant telling them about my unhappy encounter and how at ever other restaurant i have ever been to, the check is brought up at the end of the meal or when the plates are being cleared and the owner emailed me back saying she was sorry but that it is customary for a customer to ask that at the beginning of the meal and that since they are a fine dining establishment, they do not ask at the beginning of the meal. So I replied saying Im not sure where she has been eating but at none of the restaurants I have ever been to have I, the customer, been expected to bring up that it will be separate checks before the check is brought unless asked by the server. Also, that I did not appreciate being given a lesson in etiquette especially because I am not in the wrong. And that maybe they need a lesson in etiquette and the fact that the customer is always right. She replied by saying that they are not a "Dennys" style restaurant and that it would be insulting and demeaning to ask their guests how they are paying when they sit down and that there is nothing she can do if it makes me happy to "slander behind a keyboard instead of coming down and talking to her and her husband in person". So I then replied saying that I understand that in a fine dining atmosphere it is insulting and demeaning for the server to ask how we are paying up front but then how is it NOT insulting and demeaning to expect the customer to offer that information up front and then give them a lesson in etiquette in the middle of the restaurant when the dont? Also, that if she had simply apologized in her first email and left it at that, I would have responded professionally and thanked her but since I have now been scolded 3 times, I will never be attending that restaurant again and will now be spreading the word about her professionalism to everyone I know.

We had eaten here & food was cold & nasty...but the bill was quite high! The next day I asked to use the restroom...even had my receipt..but I was told I would have to walk a block across to a park! The ultimate "rudeness" and lack of compassion was the worst Id seen "anywhere" in all of my travels in the Seattle area for a week! We had been to some of the finest restaurants in Seattle..from Anthonys to Elliotts..to the Space Needle! Our little dog, Chevy, is an ETA..complete with a doctors letter. They told me to pick him UP & NOT LET HIM WALK ON THEIR WOOD FLOOR! He sat in his own chair at all the upscale restaurants. Even at the "Space Needle" & Collections Restaurant! They had me in tears...the manager told me it was "just the way they DO things around there!".. Worst place ever! Dont go there if you are visiting! We were thrilled with the "Random Acts of Kindness" all over Seattle, Silverdale, Bainbridge Island & too many places to name! Not a "kind" person in this entire restaurant! I met several! BTW I always tip 30% which I had done the day before! The food is just as horrible as they are!

It is unfortunate that Sogno di Vino seems to have gotten ahead of itself. When it first opened, it was great- delicious food, awesome atmosphere and pleasant service. This past weekend, I went with a group of people (many of us whom are considered "regulars") at the restaurant and we were treated horribly. From entering the restaurant, we were admonished for not making a reservation, even though the restaurant was empty. The waitresses were rude and often delivered our drinks with an attitude or snappy comment. Our food was cold when it finally arrived (over an hour after we were finally allowed to place our order). They have recently changed their menu, which has gone from awesome to mediocre at best. Unfortunately, Sogno di Vino has gone horribly downhill... I would expect such treatment, prices and mediocre food in Seattle, but SdV has forgotten it is in Kitsap County.

In a word — Fabulous. To start with, the waitress was very helpful and courteous. I wasnt bowled over by the wine that she had suggested, so she went out of her way to make sure that the glass that followed was to my liking. For dinner I ordered the Rosemary Roasted Chicken and was very, very impressed. I dont typically order something that Im pretty sure I can cook just as well at home, but on this particular night chicken just sounded right. The spices and roasting were a perfect match for what was obviously quality fowl. The risotto that accompanied the chicken was most excellent and nicely complimented the chicken. Veges; cooked just right. The environment was relaxed, warm and visually pleasant, and the prices were just fine — in short, all four of us left satisfied and full. We will eat there again — soon!

Do not EAT HERE.....WE GOT FOOD POISON. WE SPENT 80 bucks. Not to mention we went in thirty mind before they were closing....our big mistake and an expensive one..and around three am..we both woke up with explosive bowel issues and horrible stomach pains. I think it was the salad dressing. The service was horrible. Food was over priced and not cooked by a chef but "cooks" I called the "owner" who yelled @it me and got extremely defensive...she hung up on me after I asked for a refund. Needless to say this was one of the worst food experiences weve had in a while. Mcdonalds would of been better and we dont eat fast food. The owner should be ashamed! What a waste/litterly. I will be boggling wherever I can about this place and am calling the health department.

The food is incredible! Each item had an excellent, creative flavor combination, and everything was cooked to perfection. We had the chicken honey lemon pizza, the salmon artichoke pizza, and finished off the meal by sharing the chocolate truffle with raspberry liqueur. There were many more seafood, pasta, and salad options if youre not in the mood for pizza. We had our dog with us, and the restaurant was kind enough to save us a spot on the patio. Our dog enjoyed sitting out of the way, and saying hi to all the passersby on the street! The ambiance here is just incredible: sitting under a tree, with vines draped overhead, and lights glowing. Were definitely coming back here. My wife agrees, Sogno di Vino was the perfect place to eat!

My husband and I have eaten here twice and highly recommend it. The service is wonderful, the food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is...warm, inviting, relaxing and somewhat romantic. Our server (both times) was very attentive, polite, and knowledgeable. Weve tried an array of items on their menu (which has recently changed) and so far everything has been superb. They leave comment cards with the check (they have both times weve eaten there) so they obviously want feedback on how they are doing. Im looking forward to going back and trying a few new things on their menu!
