Literally the worst service Ive experienced. I went once and the service was terrible in the restaurant. The server was rude, never refilled drinks and was late bring food and the check. Once the food came it was good, so we decided to try again via take out to avoid the service. I was on the phone for 11 minutes trying to place an order. During this 11 minutes I was put in hold 4 times to answer other calls in the middle of placing my order. On the 4th hold, they put the phone down and then hung up on me. I called back to finish placing the order. I explained I was hung up by accident and proceeded with the order. The man on the line, acted as if it were my fault! So I ask why It was necessary to put me on hold every time I attempted to order a dish. They responded. "just something I have to deal with when other calls are coming in, just go ahead and finish your order..." really? Moving on, We asked for a simple noodle substitution (that was done during our first visit) but all the sudden they dont do that. The man on the line, continued to be rude. As you can see we were very patient initially because we know things happen. But the rude service on top of it was our breaking point. We had 6 dishes to order- unfortunately for them I took my business elsewhere amd felt compelled to share my experience with all consumers. Learn how to treat the people, they are the reason you are in business...

Great Italian restaurant, visiting there in the last 10 years frequently both for business meals and private. We met the owner today and he said that he opened a new place in Oakley. They serve fresh Italean bread and their special dip before you make your order very tasty. Have specials for three day but the normal selection is pottery good, II like the chicken selection and my wife loves the salmon which they make to order.

Worst shrimp and pasta ever! The shrimp was over-cooked and tasted like it had been grilled next to or right after steak. The 2 or 3 ounces or so of angel hair pasta was dry had practically no sauce . The only good part of this small $14 dish was the bread a dipping sauce that was brought to the table.

Best local Italian restaurant. Have never had a bad dish from them. Feels a bit more authentic than other Italian restaurants in the area. If you get cold easily, be sure to bring a light jacket as Ive found it to be a bit chilly in the restaurant.

Pulling off the highway was a chance encounter. Mangia Bene was an excellent find. A great find in the east bay suburbs. Pasta was fresh and delicious. A relaxed atmosphere. Just damn good food.
