This was the third time we had dined at Firenze and the first time we chose to eat in doors because, after all it is winter in Seattle. The first bad sign was the snooty waiter who sniffed when we said, "no we dont have a reservation." Then we were given the worst seat in the house where they had the two chairs at a four seater table on the sides of the table where our backs would be to the kitchen door. Waiter scuttling behind us to pour wine and bring out food. Next came the waiting, waiting, waiting for our food. Picture a sea of white tablecloth, nobody refreshing our water or bread but making sure we bought more alcoholic drinks! The waitress runs by and says, "your meals will be out shortly!" Then the ladies who sat down after us are given their meals...guess what? They were given the wrong meals! Want to bet they were ours? We wait, still no meals.....FINALLY our meals arrive. They were very good but nobody ever apologized for the terrible service and on top of it at the end we used a Groupon certificate which took $20 off our nearly $90 bill and the waitress came back with a flyer and said, "did you know we own the pizza parlor next door? Heres a coupon for 10% off." We burst out laughing on our way to our car, nothing like being told you werent classy enough or rich enough to eat at their restaurant. LOL. Will NEVER go back there.

One of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a restaurant. We came in at around 9:40, and as we were walking in we noticed a loud table who were obviously drunk. Which we found strange and chose to ignore since we were going to be eating inside. Much to our surprise our server was one of the people from the table that we assumed to be drunk patrons! Still we sat, and looked at the menu. I went to the restroom to wash my hands, and was astonished to find ants all over the floor. I came back to our table to sit and eat the food that we ordered which was mediocre at best neither I nor my boyfriend even finished our food. Our server never came to refill our waters, or ask us how our food was, and took a very long time to deliver us our check, which we were desperate for since we just wanted to get out of there. As we were waiting, a very obviously intoxicated female with long blonde hair walks in and again to our surprise was another server she was loud and obnoxious and was working! Rest assured we will never be coming here again. And I warn others as well. Poorly managed, sub par food, and awful service.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in the Puget Sound area. The restaurant is actually owned by Italians from Florence, each dish and sauce is made fresh after you order it, and the food is reasonably priced. I have been to this restaurant enough that I now have a relationship with the owner, who always takes the time to make me feel like the only patron in the restaurant. Yes, the staff is a little edgy, but what the heck do you want from a traditional Italian meal. If you want some poorly made half Italian food and a waiter that cant pronounce half the dishes on the menu I advise you to go to the many unauthentic Italian restaurants. BUT if you want the true atmosphere of being in a quaint little Italian restaurant with homemade recipes I recommend this place above all else. Give the owner, Sal, a hello and maybe crack a joke or two with him. Be adventurous and try one of his many specials that are consistently amazing. I use this restaurant for all professional meetings I hold, for family special occasions, and for just having a relaxing meal by myself. This place is a treasure!

Food was ok, thats why they didnt get one star. People in my party smoked so they went outside to smoke and got the racist remark of "Asian and their smoking" from who appeared to be the owner or manager. I am Asian, dont smoke, been to Italy (ironically Florence and Tuscany), and work with Italians from Italy so I was defending our waiter to our group who perceived our waiter to be a bit bold or arrogant but I found fine. What I cannot excuse is the racist comment by the owner or manager or whomever he was. Not going back, should have believed the other customers who got bad service or uncomfortable remarks. Life too short to eat okay food from a place that generalizes the Asia race. Also food took an hour and a half (restaurant was only half full) and like I said, just was ok. The waiter kept us informed which is why 2 stars but here is the icing on the cake. My girlfriend went to the womens restroom to have the owner/Manger (a man) come in to the womens restroom and take a piss next to her while she was in the next stall. Real class.

I have always liked their pastas and been to the restaurant many times. The service was never great, but was also not too bad ... until the last time I visited a couple of weeks back. There were 3 waiters serving that night, two of whom had always been there and one of them seemed a new guy. From some point, those two waiters started just sitting at a table with customers and kept on chatting loudly for a loooong time. They didnt even come refill our water glasses, get us desserts, or bring us the check. They were even making the new young waiter guy do all the stuff for the tables they should have been responsible for and it was simply disgusting to even see that. We had to wait for a very long time because of those idiots and they pretty much ruined our night. Too bad since we thought the food was pretty good, but ever since we have been avoiding to go back to that place. I will probably not go back unless they are fired. Disgustingly unprofessional.

Ordered a Caesar salad and mussels. Was brought a salad that had clearly been left in a refrigerator for hours. Romaine was wilted and some of it had even gone bad. Mussels were in fact a shellfish combo. The clams and mussels tasted microwaved and nothing like the broth they were immersed in. The broth was a chicken and herb blend that barely had flavor. I felt bad for the server. There were no other guests and I was clearly his only table. Got recommendations of grappa and dessert and didnt complain about food. I just ate very little of it. Got a mid level price range for grappa. Showed up in a cocktail glass and there was very little poured to explain the $12.50 price point. Bill was $59.88 and Ive left hungry. And restaurants wonder why business is slow. For $60.00 at grocery store; I could have had a feast. Never going back to Firenze....

This place has really gone down hill since my last visit. I would be surprised if the restaurant would pass a health inspection, and I wonder if they even have a license any longer. The staff was rude, confrontational, and sarcastic - to each other, and customers. The food was sub-par, and not fresh. The price was ridiculously exorbitant, and when I complained about the corked bottle of wine they tried to serve us the owner came out of the office and was verbally, and physically abusive! My wife had to call the police, as the fight that ensued was clearly going to end with much bloodshed. I will not be back - due to the food, the service, and the restraining order.
