This cozy eclectic hideaway in a small commuter community is completely unexpected. The pasta menu, and nightly specials are a pleasant surprise, and a welcome step up from all of the other "mountain food", you will find between Gresham and Hood River. Dont make the mistake of thinking that their tenderloin special is just another steak. They source aged cuts from a local Portland wholesaler that are as lean and tender as anything you will find at 100$ / plate chop houses like Ruths Chris. You can quite literally cut this tenderloin with your fork. Vicky is your owner on location, and is a hands-on restaurateur that clearly takes personal interest in the presentation of every plate. If you are able, ask to be seated at a table hosted by "Guido", for dinner and a show. This is a hidden gem on HWY 26.

Every Thursday my family eats together here. Absolutely love this place. Authentic Italian. Friendly owners and wait staff. Howard the head waiter is quite funny. Excellent antipasto and other light snacks such as fried zucchini or garlic shrimps. My favorite is the Marsalis Chicken or Ceasars Saldana with Chicken. My son loves the Tortellini I and my husband loves the hearty Lasagna. Love this place ALWAYS EXCELLENT! Some nights are really busy......worth the wait.The best thing is to call ahead. You can sways order to go as well.

The first time we visited Trattoria it was by chance. We were headed back to Bend and were hungry and came across it. Then last year we spent our 16th Anniversary in Welches and made reservations there. Food is authentic, fresh, affordable and the staff is always friendly! Looking forward to our 17th Anniversary tonight!
