A small, family owned Italian restaurant in a very small strip mall, this place is difficult to spot from the street even though it faces the main thoroughfare. It isnt exactly gourmet, but the woman who runs the place pounded the chicken breasts for my chicken piccata when I ordered the dish (in other words everything was made fresh as it was ordered). My piccata was a bit too salty, and the meat was a tad dry, but I have yet to find an Italian restaurant that takes the time to adjust cooking temperatures to caramelize the chicken without burning it or drying it out; in fact, most undercook the breasts in an effort to make it quickly, so what you end up with is a completely white piece of meat that must depend solely on the sauce to give it flavor. This always results in an unsatisfying piccata. The chef here obviously puts forth a sincere effort with each dish. I like that she offers more than just run-of-the-mill pasta dishes, which way too many Italian restaurants try to get away with. The chef offers twists on classic dishes, for example, she offers two chicken piccata dishes: one made the traditional way with butter, another with cream instead.

We just left this restaurant 30 minutes ago. Although we had to make a U-turn to find this place (tucked away on N. Texas Street), Im glad we found it! Hands down one of the best meals weve had in a long time! We started with warm bread and a fresh salad with homemade dressing. The spicy pasta with shrimp was the best Ive ever had (hubby also agreed with his pasta with meatballs). We ended with cheesecake and a warm peach cobbler. The staff was very friendly and the chef came out to check on everyone. I found out she was the owner. We were told they were moving to downtown Fairfield at end of Summer. We will definitely be returning with family and friends!

A hole in the wall Italian restaurant where the food is incredible. The four of us all ordered a different meal and had nothing but praise for the quality and the taste of the meals. The prices are well below what you would expect to pay for the taste and quality of the food. It may not seem like much from the outside but it is worth it. Everybody that I have gone with has gone back. It is a restaurant where you savour your food; not a fast food restaurant. Reservations are now required, which can be done on line.

A diamond in the rough, this place is a real gem! The chef is a pro and interacted with us many times to make sure we knew all of the options available. Furthermore, the atmosphere is spot on. Typically they play jazz I was told, but Sinatra Sunday when we got there! Perfect for date night and the cheesecake was the best Ive ever had with a sweet sour cream sauce and chocolate bits. The main dishes of Lobster and Crab ravioli paired perfectly w its butter and white wine sauce. Give this place a try!!

Always a pleasure to dine where the food is so authentically prepared! You can hear Roberta pounding out the veal for a delicious Vitello a la Parmigiana from the kitchen....all fresh, all wonderfully prepared. Having lived in Italy for 7 years I can say, best Italian pasta place this side of San Francisco!

Food was great, service sucked. If I always have to wait that long for food and never get asked if theres anything else I need, when I had already mentioned I wanted wine I never got. Super irritated. I felt like the server was trying to run away before I could ask anything. But the food was legit.
