when v entered inside the restaurant there was nobody except the 4 people managing and serving...no greeting or even a smile on their face as if we were some unwelcome guest...but no option as we were new in the area so did not know anything else around....horrible service and experience...1 old man used to move around and it felt very bad..we ordered vegetarian food and the taste was really bad...the biryani rice was dry as if made before 2-3 days ago...and overall the taste of the biryani was horrible..i was not a biryani..south indian food sucked...they dont know how to make dosas...full of oil and tasteless...our tummies got upset the next day...only one thing good about the restaurant was sambhar...but u dont go to a restaurant just for sambhar....it was a waste of money and destroyed our meal..i wont suggest it for vegetarians..i dont know about non-veg food....

I came here for dinner at around 5. My mother and I ordered chicken tandoori, which came with rice, naan, yogurt, Dahl, desert and various soups. They were all equally delicious, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is also nice. It is well kept and clean, compared to other Indian restaurants I have been to. I wouldnt recommend the chicken tandoori, as it had a strange smell and taste. When we told our server this, he offered to replace it with the chicken tika masala free of charge. The chicken tika masala tasted very good, and is presented very well. All of the food was hot and fresh tasting. The server was also kind enough to bring me an extra desert since we only ordered one meal. Overall, I would definitely visit here again when I am in town. The service is exceptional and the food is fairly priced.

Hands down the best Indian food I have ever had. The Tandoori chicken is mouthwatering, but then again so is everything else. I had my parents fly hundreds of miles just to eat here. The wait staff personell are polite and unassuming. The only complaint is the location, which leaves something to be desired. I think that Ravi needs to expand and open some additional restaurants and capitalize on his amazing recipes. The atmosphere makes you feel like youre part of the Ravi family and Ive never had to wait to be seated. Do yourself a favor and become addicted to this restaurant...your tastebuds will never let you forget it.

We love Ravis, and have been going since it was Maharaja (same family) ~ probably 15 years at least. It is one of the best places to get southern Indian food such as dosas, and the naan is superb. A recent remodel has added much to the decor and ambience. The service is not gushing in an American manner, but our needs are attended too. Food arrival can be slow, but that is to be expected when a party of eight orders 8 dosas plus other dishes. This is real food cooked by real people, not "defrost and add water" like some chains!

My friends & I visited Ravis last week & had a good experience. I have been here many times before while attending school in the area . The naan & garlic naan are delicious! My friends & I shared a few orders of garlic naan , chicken tikka skillet , vegetable biryani , dahl curry , & lamb curry . All to say we were in a food coma , but well worth it. The food does take longer to prepare depending on the dish so if your in a rush I recommend ordering ahead of time or calling in a take out order .

Just avid this place too many things to say.... Illegal employees working with forced labor or less pay and some wont get salaries. Diseased old lady always touches food with bear hands. Not professional cooks , just they do what they can, All cookings in same pans. They wont change oil for more than month. No proper customer service. they only speak there language. Music you cant understand. No proper billings always requests for cash. Never give card or cash tips, the owner takes it all.

I havent been to this restraint for sometime. I use to go there to eat fish curry. Recently I was invited by friends for dinner. Very pleasant people working there, fast service. I have heard great complements about this place. I would like to give them my honest opinion. Keep up the great work however, theres always room for improvement. I would go back if the water glass doesnt smell bad. And the servers would improve in service attire. Thank you for the service.

This place has amazing Indian food and the lassis are amazing. If you go for lunch the value is unbeatable. You can get a full, sit-down meal for about what it costs to eat in your car. There is really no comparison when it comes to quality of food and environment so this place wins time and again when I want something good to eat. This place beat out my other favorite Indian food restaurant.

Bad food and even worse service. I will never go back again. And they are unapologetic about both! Could not make either uthappam or chicken biryani - both were horrible. The former looked and tasted like Pizza crust and the later like poorly cooked brown rice! Awful would be the best description. Thank God it is the last time I will be there at Ravis ever again.

I wish I could give this a higher rating! Wow. Im a foodie and have gone to many restaurants through out the city and Bella Trattoria is hands down the most delicious I have been to! Not to mention the service there is unlike any place Ive been before. They truly care about your experience and make sure to go above and beyond.

My favorite Indian restaurant, bar none. I wont write a lengthy discussion of each dish, but I will recommend that you try as much as possible here! Not sure where the one star ratings came from; Ive never had bad food OR bad service here. And its been a good seven years Ive been eating here.

I ordered 15 samosas for pickup at 6 pm. When I reached there on time, I dont believe the food was even started to be made. I was quite upset by that and noone there acknowledged to apologize. I wouldnt go there also because I also saw 2 cockroaches. That place is pretty dirty.

I dont know what AGupta 68 talking about in his review. I like the food and many customers come back to eat because food is fresh and with authentic taste with Indian spices imported from India. Try it for yourself and judge. before believing a Joe who dont know anything .

This place feels like home. Its intimate yet casual. Aside from their Tandoori Chicken, I mostly love their Lamb Biryani and Masala dosa. If you are with a group (of >5 or more) make sure to call ahead and reserve. This place is small and easily gets packed.
