Well I feel as if I was at a different restaurant than everyone here who has written stellar reviews!! We had heard/ read good things about this place and decided to try it with the in-laws for an early dinner yesterday. From the minute we walked in I knew it wasnt going to be a great experience, but we were trying to make the most of it. The floor and whole restaurant was dirty. Every worker was young, dressed sloppily and uninterested in doing their job. From the area and reviews, I just expected more. Our waitress never brought my mother in law water she asked for, never refilled our drinks, and I suspect forgot to put our order in right away because ours took longer than those who came in after us. When she took our food order she offered cornbread to start and we accepted. She never brought it. We kept looking for her to get drink refills or ask for the cornbread since we were waiting so long for food, and couldnt find her anywhere. And the place is very small. She brought the food and two of us had gotten fish, she offered tartar sauce and we also accepted. She never brought it. She disappeared again for 15 minutes and we couldnt find her. My father-in-law was sitting there letting his fish get cold waiting for tartar sauce and had nothing to drink since before our food came so I finally had to get up and ask the hostess to refill his drink and get us some tartar sauce. I was so excited for my fried green tomatoes and they were practically raw, I couldnt finish them. When someone finally brought us cornbread, it was cold little cornbread muffins that tasted dry and old. * The 2 good things I will say are that the mashed potatoes are amazing! And after the hostess could clearly see we werent being taken care of, she mustve sent the floor manager over to apologize to us, ask if we needed anything, and give us 50% discounts on our checks. We did really appreciate that since we felt we hadnt been given good service. Unfortunately I dont think we will be giving them another chance anytime soon.

My husband and I stopped here on our way back home from our vacation visiting the Mammoth Caves in Kentucky. Im so happy we stopped here for lunch. The portions were huge and delicious. I got the pretzel appetizer because thats my favorite dish anywhere. I also ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich with fries. I was only able to eat half of a sandwich because I filled up on those pretzels! My husband got the frisco burger and said it was a perfect medium rare. It was the best cooked burger we had on our trip to Kentucky! The staff was also super friendly, and I loved our waiter. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Ate there today for the first time and I am sick as a dog. Feels like food poisoning. Havent ate anything since! To busy vomiting Id like to add that the service is super slow. My 10 yrs old had mac n cheese but it was cold. I had the crab cakes and omg I just want to jump out a window right now my stomach is killing me! The restaurant needs TLC and perhaps a face lift. I thought it was going to be good because it always full but I was sorely disappointed. The staff needs work and more training. Im bummed because I was looking forward to eating here. My husband had a blt with fries and he said it was great.

Just had Fathers Day brunch at Goose Creek Diner. We had made a reservation and were seated at the exact time of the reservation on a day when they were clearly slammed! I watched group after group being greeted politely, seated promptly and always with a smile. The food was great as usual, and the serve excellent. Our server was Morgan, and she did a lovely job. You can really tell about a place by the way they handle those busy, busy times, and Goose Creek Diner did a stellar job.

We love this place! The food is marvelous! Everything weve ever tried here is fabulous! My favorite is the Hot Brown and their fried green tomatoes. My husband loves the chicken livers and onions and chicken fried chicken. Our friend love the salmon croquettes. They also bring out marvelous mini corn muffins before your meal and their old-fashioned dessert case is piled high with goodies that we can never hold because we are so full when we leave!

The quality has gone down in the past 6 months. Once creamy thick soups are now water. Wilted and brown lettuce found in/on salads and sandwiches. Theyve drastically changed the menu and took away some of what used to be our favorites. Its sad seeing as it used to be our go to place when I didnt feel like making dinner. Theres a lot of new employees who clearly dont put their all into their job. If you wouldnt eat it, dont serve it!

My wife and I stopped in for the Sunday brunch. The quality of the food was less than desirable. It was crowded, cold, and people were hovering next to the table waiting for an open table. My wife decided to try the crepes, which were not prepared properly, soggy at best. One plate of food each and it cost just under $30. We will not be returning, as there are a multitude of better places to eat for way less money and better food.

They did so well for almost 3 years. Now every time I go in they are dropping the food from the menu. The last 3 times I have gone there for a specific thing they have dropped it from their menue. They have limited their Thursday pasta special from 6 choices to 4 in the last 4 months. what next no Fried green tomatoes? Maybe you can add some more alcohol to the menue and stop serving food all together.

I rarely find myself giving out 5 star reviews, but the Goose Creek Diner has never failed me. The staff are friendly, the place is clean and well kept, and the food is outstanding. If you have family in and are looking for a place to have brunch, this is your restaurant. By far one of my favorite in the area.

Sit back relax and have some good all American food. Everything Ive gotten here tasted great. The people working here are very nice. Its a quite place, When Ive been there know got loud while talking to the others at their table. Customers came back a lot, because it feels like a homey feel to the place.

Just good old fashion cooking. Reminds me of going to my grandmothers for Sunday cooking. Everyyhing Ive ordered I love. I recommend the meatloaf sandwich for lunch, the hot brown, chicken pot pie and my new favorite liver and onions. This is one of Louisville best gems

We went to the Sunday brunch and really enjoyed it. Some of the items on the buffet seemed a little old, like the scrambled eggs... So I kind of avoided those. But the fried chicken was great, I loved the waffle station, and our server was awesome. Ill be back!

Great price, food and service! I love their chicken fried steak.. nom nom, and the fried green tomatoes are some of the best in town. The reason this isnt 5 stars is because the booth seats, floor, and baseboards are just tattered and frankly, grimy looking.
