I was very disappointed with quality of food offered during a Friday dinner and then at the lunch buffet on a Saturday. I am a vegetarian and an Indian-American and love Indian food. Mattar-paneer I ordered at Friday dinner was tasteless, soggy wet and full of garlic. Naan was too salty. The next day buffet lunch came with three veggie dishes, all tasteless and soaked in garlic. Take-out raita was too salty. The rave reviews I see must have come from meat-eaters and non-Indians as I saw some of those guys gobbling chicken and meat dishes. This restaurant needs to improve quality of veggie dishes with Indian vegetarians in mind. The restroom was filthy. The waitress was not very pleasant, nor cordial. I didnt find the cost of the meals reasonable either for the poor quality. I wont be coming back to this restaurant again.

Monsoon Indian Cusine is nestled in the heart of palm springs on the southwest corner of Sunrise and Ramon. Once inside the somewhat bleak storefront, you will find a truly humble and warm atmosphere. The instant you walk through the door, the subtle redolance of curry is instantly intoxicating. Once seated, service is prompt and friendly. The staff is excellent in describing the fare and more than helpful in suggesting something to the weary. Once your meal arrives, your table will more than likely grow quiet, as you enjoy every last bite. Dessert is phenominal and the entire experience is sure to delight!

We came here for a dinner we would have at home (we were traveling). The wait was long and the servers were slow. The main host was really slow, rude and arrogant. By the time a table was available (the previous people had left 5 minutes ago) the tables were still unclean and there was rice scattered all over the floor underneath. We asked the main host to clean it, but he just said we cant do that now and walked away like he was great. Just because there are a couple non-indian parties at your establishment doesnt mean youre popular and great. We ended up walking out and going somewhere else.

Hey. You. Yes, yes I mean you. Youre on this page checking out this restaurant named after seasonal rain or a hurricane. I dont know which one, but thats irrelevant. What is relevant is that youre looking at a place with responsive, impressive service (that you wish was still common) fantastic, varied Indian cuisine, including an amazing lunch buffet that I highly recommend fasting for. It can quickly get packed for good reason. Now go out and enjoy stuffing plate after plate until you can barely raise your hand for the check.

The place was okay and the waiters very polite. We ordered a tandoori mix, a chicken tandoori and a bhurta, with nan. The vegetable dish was tasty, The tandoori meats were totally tasteless. They provided a hot sauce which is not a substitute for taste, The waiters indicated they dont eat meat so they have no idea. For three dishes with papad and tea... averaged out to $27 per plate. Would recommend to vegetarians with a wallet. If you like to eat meats with bahari, chapli or hyderabadi tastes go somewhere else.

After moving to Mobile I hadnt had good Indian food in over a year. After reading the great reviews of this restaurant I decided to check it out. I ordered the Chicken Tika Marsala and was extremely pleased. Sal, the owner and cook took care of my appetite for chicken tika marsala and spent time talking to me about Indian history and cuisine. The food was excellent and the hospitality even better. This is a very good Indian restaurant with tasty food, good atmosphere and cold Indian style beer.

I absolutely loved this restaurant. We had the lunch buffet, and many items on it were the best i uave ever had. The chicken marsala was especially wonderful. Aside from taste, the restaurant has a very peaceful and relaxed feel. The man who served us was excellent and very kind, he is either the owner or one of the kindest best servers I have ever had. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

You get your moneys worth at Monsoon, so make sure you exercised and have plenty of room to enjoy. The food is quite alright and not that pricey. We enjoyed several dishes, as well as lots of naan-- get the naan and flatbreads as theyre scrumptious and plentiful. The sauces on the dishes were spot on, and we couldnt stop dipping our bread into it. Really enjoyed the food here.

Not such a good place. I came here because of the conspicuously high Google ratings and was very much disappointed. The okra in the Bhindi did not taste fresh, salt content was extremely high in every dish, and deep fried appetizers suffered from seemingly overused oil. The overwhelmingly positive reviews are just not trustworthy.

Since Delhi Palace in PS closed a year ago Ive been looking for a good Indian buffet. This place has wonderful and tasty food. Try the Butter Chicken and Samosas. For around $10 a person for lunch you couldnt ask for much more. The staff is friendly and attentive. Food is hot and constantly being refilled. Great food!

This was our first time here and our first experience with Indian food. We are Palm Springs residents and have seen this place for a while. My wife and I decided to give it a try, and WOW! What amazing food, and the staff was friendly and the place was very clean. Will DEFINATELY being coming here often!

the buffet food was excellent! for the first time to try out Indian cuisine, the food was very tasty and delicious! I thought that this restaurant is way more better tasting than the one northern California area! :-)) P.S. Ive recommended this to my friends and co-workers. And the price was reasonable!

I tend to base my Indian food judgements on my experiences at Bombay House in Provo, Utah (which in my opinion is second to none) and Monsoon is in a good second or third. The lunch buffet has a decent variety at a good price. The chicken tikka masala is delicious. Garlic naan was good as well.

Monsoon is where youll find food that is consistently fresh, satisfying, and delicious. If you like huge portions, order the full chicken - if you like it hot, order the Lamb Vindaloo (extra spicy). Im a 63" athlete and I always walk away with a smile on my face - you will too.

This place is great. Ive had many of the entrees on the menu and have been impressed every time. The service is great, the portions great for splitting and the quality well above average. Ive brought many new people here and theyve all been very impressed with my choice.

Excellent food from Punjabi region. We had lamb vindaloo, saag paneer, chicken khadi, naan, lassis, chai, papadam... even the rice was great. Service was inattentive, but friendly when it appeared. Overall, high recommendation for very quality Indian food.

Went for the Saturday lunch buffet. First time at this restaurant. Food was just OK. There was nothing special at all in the selections. Waiter did not offer us a second serving of naan. The cost with two soft drinks and a five dollar tip was $35.

If you are Indian or Pakistani, skip this place. Its not for you, the food is nothing to be excited about... I came after reading all the reviews but I should have took the Indian/Pakistani reviewers much more seriously.

Thes eguys are awesome - stayed open way after hours to accomodate our group, the foods excellent and they really make an effort to get it right. Cant argue about the prices - very fair. Try it.
