Delicious and Clean place for Indian Food. Ive been here plenty of times and the food is the good every time. As soon as you walk in, the scenery looks like a romantic setting with low lighting and candle top like tables (but without the candles) and it even has a small "outside" area with a fountain. I get the Paneer Tikka Masala and is creamy and buttery as it should be. I would also recommend the Karahi Paneer which has a cheesy taste with more vegetables. My friends get the lamb and chicken Tikka Masala and all of them get high reviews. I also recommend getting the garlic naan with any meal. The mango lassi is great too, so recommend getting it. As for pricing, its on the higher side for Indian food, each plate with rice cost around $12-15 and naan goes for about $3. Service is great when you walk in and they always make sure you get your water filled, but the waiter, at times, does not come in for a while, so make sure you get everything you want the first time. Parking can be an issue, as its normal in Hillcrest, but recommend going.

Upscale, authentic, tasty, and friendly. I had been wanting to try this place ever since I first walked by, but ended up trying it on a whim when the website for a restaurant closer to my work had an error during checkout. Boy, am I glad that other site was having problems! The food here is authentic and delicious, and even though I had mine delivered to sorrento valley everything arrived at the perfect temperature. Its not the cheapest Indian place around, but the flavors and textures they present to you are divine. A single order of nan is not quite enough, but if youre willing to go half-nan-half-rice, the regular curry dishes come with basmati rice and this ends up being the perfect ratio of sauce to starch. Finish off with Gulab Jamun or your preferred sweet treat and youll be ready for a nice long nap with a satisfied stomach. I will absolutely be eating here again.

very mediocre indian restaurant with human hair in their food. this is a very mediocre Indian restaurant.. crappiest food you can eat in the best location in san diego. unfortunately i was on vacation with my family here... and to our shock the food was such a lower grade and on top of it my dad had to remove a long "human hair" from the curry.. the heights was that when we reported to the manager, she being so egoistic did apologize in very rude manner. i guess this is completely opposite to what a typical Indian restaurant is.

Ive waited for over a year to try this place not wanting to be disappointed. My wife and I came for dinner and were pleasantly surprised! Its the best Indian food Ive had in Lubbock. The Saag Paneer was amazing and the naan was excellent too. We also had a cucumber salad that was good as well as their version of chicken tikka masala. All the flavors were familiar yet unique. The owner is super nice and dont be afraid if youre the only one there. Yum!

Waiter (Mariam) was extremely rude and kept on asking us to cancel the order. Thankfully, another waiter, a true gentleman, helped us with positive responses. The website was not user friendly as we wanted our food delivered to the hotel we were staying at. However we were not allowed to choose that option. Hope the management takes nessary action to instruct the staff to be nicer to customers.

Honestly the best service i have ever had from the nicest people. The food was an incredible experience. Me and my wife are travelling and i am known to be the cheapest person around (ate peanut butter sandwiches that we made out of my car trunk the night before). Ya, cheap. And i tell u, i would go there and drop 50 bucks again tomorrow if we werent headin to LA ;) get over there!

This is the best Indian food my boyfriend and I have had in both the US and Australia! Mango Chicken, Lamb Sagwala and Paneer Pakora are fantastic, and they do a great Korma too. We often order it as take out and it arrives perfect and piping hot, but when we want a nice dinner with great service, this is where we go. Its not the cheapest but I find its worth every penny. Num!

You know how with most Indian restaurants the quality of the buffet isnt quite that of the food they serve at dinnertime? I always wondered why that was. I also wondered if that was how it always had to be. Until I found this place. Two facts: 1) if Im a connoisseur of any cuisine, its Indian, and 2) this is hands down the best Indian lunch buffet Ive ever had.

Some of the best Indian food Ive had. I went with the good ol chicken tikka masala, and it was fantastic. The service was fast and courteous too. As soon as my water was empty, Id look away and back and whoa! More water. We were with a group of about 7 people and everyone enjoyed their food. Try it!

Visiting from Las Vegas with 3 little children who are used to mummys cooking only. We ate here twice in a row - fantastic food - not at all usual run of the mill Indian restaurant! Mild is actually mild - perfect for kids!! Very friendly staff. Very tasty chicken makhni, bhatura, bhindi, daal,....

Ive been here multiple times and I love the food. Ive eaten many different things on the menu and Ive really enjoyed a great number of them. Ive never had bad service here. It is slightly more expensive than Id like, but every once in a while its a nice treat.

Very disappointed! After so many rave reviews I tried the buffet today. It was the worst Indian food I have ever had. Bland tasteless , stodgy overcooked absolutely terrible. People writing these reviews obviously have never tasted good Indian food before!

Will not go again . Panneer pakora was hard on outside , aloo parata and methi parata didnt taste good because the aloo inside was plain aloo , veg biriyani was very spicy with red chilli power (it looked red) and didnt taste good. Overall didnt like it .

The perfect Indian buffet @ Hillcrest Always delicious, cant get enough of their tandoori chicken! And their naan (with Aswain? Nigella seeds? its addictive!!) The cabbage slaw, seasoned with toasted brown mustard seeds is subtle yet perfect.

Great Food! Lamb Vindaloo is amazing. The dish has the most tender lamb Ive ever eaten. Super friendly staff! Extremely accommodating for large groups. Vegan friendly as well. We try to go once a month, and India Palace never disappoints.

Definitely underwhelming experience. Bottom quantile when it comes to Indian restaurants. Choices and delivery disappoint as well. They are more focused on delivery than on in restaurant experience. Chicken tikka masala was dry and bland.

I love this Indian place. Its nothing fancy, and the decor could use a little freshening up, but the food is always excellent and has been for years. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, always friendly.
