Dont get deceived by the name. This place is great for breakfast and lunch. They serve a variety of different egg dishes i.e. scrambles, benedicts, omelettes, etc. They also have a pretty decent menu for burgers and sandwiches if you are not into eggs. We went there around noon and had to wait for 5 mins before we were seated on our table. The place is pretty popular for brunch so be prepared to wait a few minutes, specially on the weekends. I ordered the florentine egg scramble with sourdough toast and potatoes. The potatoes were spicy and very flavorful. The scrambled egg was good but was as scrambled as I would like it to be. By the time I got the dish, it looked more like an Omelette than a scrambled egg. They also served 4 slices of sourdough bread that was toasted nicely. The quantity was pretty decent and for most people it will be pretty good portion if you dont have anything else.

The food here was exactly what I expected it to be: yummy, but not mind blowing. We tried a breakfast sandwich, a Benedict, and pancakes. All were satisfying. The staff was very nice, but the best part is that it is a doughnut shop in a diner. We were very happy that we could sit down to eat, and then grab 6 dozen doughnut holes to go (for my daughters class on her b-day) from the same shop. I havent tried their doughnuts my self, but I hear they are great. P.S. They have a wide verity of cake doughnuts! Those are my fav. I cant wait to go back and try one!

Great breakfast and service to start the day of city exploring. I had the ATM benedict - great combination of egg, turkey, mushroom, and avocado on an english muffin! I would just ask for the hollandaise on the side next time. Also, my kids and hubby enjoyed their hashbrowns, which were a little tastier than the home fries I ordered. We picked up a donut on our way out the door, and everyone was happy with their choices! Donut holes, chocolate bar, old fashioned glazed, and cake donut with vanilla icing and sprinkles were all exellent!

Great food, friendly staff, decent breakfast prices for San Francisco (Broadway Grill...weekends...if you want to spend $15/person for bottomless mimosas until 2pm +$ for entrees/person *$30-$40/person avg). Back to Royal Donut, I always get the chicken friend steak. Corned beef is good. My other half says: ask for the Asian food items not listed on the menu, and they have the best apple fritters. Tip: for those who dont want toast you can substitute for white rice. They have fried rice too, not sure if its extra.

Tried for the first time since my usual place wasnt open yet to get breakfast burritos. Size was ok but was very pricy. Bacon and hash browns werent crispy buy they were cooked. Asked for the "salsa" on the side. Im pertty sure it was some off the self brand. All in all if you need to grab something early early it gets the job done for a lil more $.

Plan to come early or walk around the main street as a lot of regulars flock in around noon. I ordered the benedict and the portions were not small. Dont forget to check in for a free fluffy donut. I also recommend buying a dozen of their various pastries when you leave, if there are any left.

Donuts are awesome. They are light and chewy and just delicious. There was a few people waiting to be seated for a late breakfast when I stopped in. The place was packed. Service was nice and prompt.

Fast, friendly and fresh! Breakfast sandwich was great - fresh spinach and real bacon. Fruit cup was piled high with sweet, tasty fruit (a health nod instead of my usual crispy hasbrowns).
