Pleasant atmosphere, a little cold and noisy. Great, large windows with plenty of street view and people watching. Comfy bench seats. Free wifi. Friendly service. Tasty but small bfast burrito was not high value at $10. Id like to see some hot sauce other than just tabasco offered (maybe fresh salsa, even?) Giant "medium" cup of coffee at $2.50 tasted good and is reasonably priced in a good ceramic mug. Id give an extra star if they offered refills. Drip coffee costs 10 cents/cup to make. Dont make me pay another $2.50 to refill a cup. Cmon. I may come back, its a pleasant place to be and they have sunny morning outdoor seating.

Cafe Taboo is great for all kinds of tastes. They bill themselves as the perfect Cal-Mex eatery and thats very accurate. Cafe Taboo is a wonderful choice for a panni or regular sandwich. Though, my favorite choice is to have the fresh salad with eight selected "mix ins" to create the perfect custom salad. Word to the wise... ask for double the walnuts and/or caramelized onions! Yum.

....that Im going to write a review BEFORE it even opens. Kidding aside, Im curious to see how it turns out because the paper on the windows looks very professional. Maybe ill wait until the Google Map is updated to reflect something other than what used to be here: "New York Street Cafe" before I write a proper review.

The chicksadilla (chicken quesadilla) was salty and made me thirsty. A friend who had a burrito said, "Ive had better." My wife had the rotisserie chicken. It was okay. Not too dry. Another friend liked his panini. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was comfortable ("neighborhood cafe" feel) with pleasant music.

Food is decent, but service was atrocious. After fifteen minutes of waiting in a totally empty restaurant I asked what was up. Told me they were just starting our food. 25 minute wait with no other customers? Come on. House guacamole is sliced avocado.

An excellent small corner sandwich shop. I just finished my turkey sandwich and it was way above ordinary. Roasted turkey, melted cheese, avocado, on a facasia bread. It was yummy. I will be back and with friends.

Ive had breakfast here twice: the breakfast sandwich is great. Cant complain about the breakfast plate either. My boyfriend had the hot link burrito and liked it. Nice lady always there in the mornings.

I never write reviews, but this place was amazing! Awesome food and service and for such a decent price. Bottomless mimosas were only $15 too!

A great place for a quick breakfast or lunch. They also rotisserie roast their own chicken. And cheap beer!
