Good food, terrible execution. We decided to try this place for lunch. Pros: good food. Fresh and good salsas. Cons: Terrible service. There was 1 waitress/cashier/hostess for the whole restaurant and 1 person in the kitchen with about 10 tables full of people. We waited for everything and finally got our food after about 45 minutes. When it arrived, it came plate by plate with no order. I finished my meal before my wife got hers. Unforgivable con: We ordered the San Jose tostada. They delivered, last of all, a San Jose plate which is 2x the cost. We didnt want to wait again so we just went with it. No explanation or apology, just gave us this plate. When it came to pay, the server/hostess/cashier said we had to pay for the expensive dish we got. We pointed out that the restaurant made a mistake. She did say the kitchen made a mistake, but we needed to pay for it anyways. Ive never seen a restaurant do this. Will never go back with this attitude and poor execution.

Since 2007 when I first arrived in Phoenix, my favorite restaurant in the US is San Diego Bay, and its Taco sucursal, a few steps away. Thanks to their owner and manager - Guadalupe - the people who work at SD Bay have never left! This alone speaks volumes about Guadalupes caring consistency and concern for others, and her clients. Hands down, the most enjoyable academic, birthday, too-tired-to -cook, family reunion, and anniversary everything dinners I have had in Phoenix, have all been in SD Bay. Look at the pictures on the wall! Big shots like Richard Wrangham - the chimpanzee expert, Lawrence Krauss - theoretical physicist, Curtis Marean - paleanthropologist, Sarah Hrdy - the mother of maternal evolutionary sciences, Polly Wiessner - evolutionary anthropologist, and on and on!!

The special is the seafood and the shrimp is fantastic. I was delighted to taste homemade red and green chili sauce on enchiladas. I found the decoration is friendly and bright with prints and tile pieces. If you want to take typical Mexican food, you should come here, at this convenient location. I have eaten here for several times. Good time I have spent with friends.

I cant say enough about how delicious the molcajete is. The seafood is great the flavor of the vegetables is fantastic. The restaurant is a little tough to find and somewhat off the track for most visitors and probably many residents of Phoenix, but it is well well worth the effort .

Dont come her expecting to find beef tacos or menudo. Mexican seafood on the menu. Took us awhile to order due to the menu items and in Spanish. Service a bit slow. Food was actually very good. Wife had steak and I the green shrimp. would come back to try their soups.

Completely underrated. This hidden gem is completely legit Southern California-Baja style mexican food. The green shrimp is authentic and the campechana is legit. Highly recommend this place especially for the molcajete and plancha!

Best Mexican seafood Ive had in Phoenix area. Among the best seafood generally. Try this place for something different. Even the octopus was good which is rare. The whole red snapper was fantastic.

The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but the flavors... Oh the flavors! The shrimp Molcajete is unbelievable! Never tasted anything like this. My gosh is this good!!!!
