Had a great time here! The decor is beautiful and authentic, atmosphere is very pleasant. The staff is super friendly and the food our server recommend was amazing! We got one of the specials, rack of lamb covered in rice. It was the best lamb Ive ever had and even though I dont like rice that much I really enjoyed the rice in this dish! The portion was so huge I could barely finish one third and took it to go. Had TWO more meals from the leftovers. Thats money well spent! Also my date was incredibly impressed with the place. Overall would highly recommend this restaurant!

We went on a Saturday night without a reservation (our fault) -- at first we were turned away, but the manager found a way to make it work -- and the good was *great!* Make a reservation, go for excellent kebab and authentic rice dishes -- and for the atmosphere. You will feel transported (I say that though I havent yet been to Iran -- I have eaten in many Persian restaurants before -- and this one stacks up squarely to the best Ive tried in the US (like Lala Rokh (Boston)) re: the food quality). (And I look forward to visiting Iran someday, too!).

Negeen was one of our favorite restaurants, we always had parties and gatherings there. we never encountered such poor service until last time when one of the kebabs was not properly cooked (it was their assumption! if you ask me even when they cooked it and brought it back the taste was still like bad old beef). they just cant tolerate a negative comment on their food. they take it very personal and their behavior makes you much angrier, food quality can never make you reach that level of disappointment than a poor customer service can.

The atmosphere is elegant and I was greeted and seated right away. They have a variety of Persian dishes here and I ordered Ashe Reshteh, tahdig with khoresh gheimeh and koobideh joojeh. The food was okay. The Ashe was my favorite, and even though the koobideh was seasoned nicely, the texture was strange. We also had a problem with our drinks, my fiancé and I ordered tea and my fiance had to literally get up and go ask for a refill, twice. The staff was not attentive and we had to ask for our check twice as well.

I ate regularly at Nageen for a couple of years when I lived in San Jose, just down the street. The food was always good, though the service was usually very slow. The decor is cool greens and relaxing, with a small stage with instruments for live music on Friday and Saturday nights, when they usually have some belly-dancing as well. The owners always treated me warmly and like a family member which I liked, as did some of the wait staff who recognized me on my frequent visits.

I went there with a friend. we ordered a chicken and lamb combo, and also a koobideh. Both items were great. The only reason I dont give them a perfect score is that we thought they have a buffet, but they did not have the buffet that Saturday. But they had a special event immediately before, so maybe that is why they were not serving buffet. I will go there again on a weekday and try their buffet.

Delivering good food and good service at all times is a challenge for any restaurant that most restaurants rarely succeed. I have had good experiences overall at Negin where I have been going to with friends and family for more than 10 years. On a scale of 1 to 10 stars for overall quality of food and service I give Negin 9 so they definitely deserve 5 stars!

The food was OK. I ordered shishlik but it was not well cooked and did not seem to be marinated well. The prices are rather high Did not like the way they took order. they sounded judgemental and not friendly at all. Just did not feel comfortable there. I do not recommend this place. You can find much better Persian food in San Jose for less.

Yes... over the last decade this restaurant has gone under several management changes. But now NEGEEN’s is still the best Persian Restaurant in the Valley. I was born here and truly appreciate all the different cultures and there food and would challenge any of you to find a better restaurant.

Just a lovely experience. HUGE portions of wonderful, flavorful food. Super personable server. The belly dancer and the live music were both amazing. All the small children joined her for a lesson, and then stayed on the dance floor, happily twirling the night away under the colorful lights.

Their food is decent and maybe among the top Persian places in the Bay Area, but their customer service is dismal. Go there if you want to be humiliated and be treated like shi# in front of your friends and family. The most unprofessional staff that I have ever seen in any restaurant.

I didnt like the food. Barg kebob was like boiled rather than grilled. Moreover, the guy working there was rude grabbing our check to see how much tip we left while we were still sitting there. If you are looking for a better quality food and service I recommend Ziba restaurant.

Grilled chicken, beef, and vegetables were good; koubideh was okay. Servings were large. Dinner entertainment consisted of a belly dancer (who some people tipped by stuffing money into her skirt and top...) and later, a two person band playing middle eastern (Persian?) music.

Falls short of expectation. Food is nothing close to 4/5 stars. I had the koobide, it came out with pink middle, very salty, and taste-wise on was the bottom of the barrel...The management, well, lets stay, isnt most professional when you bring up issues with their food

Service was ok. You wont get refill here. kabob is chunky but not much taste to it. Rice was not all the way cooked, somehow hard. I had non Persian guest, so he didnt notice the difference and still liked it. But I am not impressed by this place at all. Wont go back.

Excellent Persian restaurant (much better than Chelokababi in Sunnyvale). Big portions, very friendly service (visit on weekends for the belly dancer), great food. If youre looking for an authentic dish, I suggest "Baghali Polo". All their kabab dishes are divine.

Im persian and live in North Bay. I have tried all San Francisco Bay Areas Persian restaurants and this one is my favorite and recommend it to every body who likes to try good Persian food with fair price. The service is good. The atmosphere is OK.

Most impolite staff ever! Cheap people in general! Most people(not all) who give them a good ranking are among their relatives/friends. Their koobideh is abnormally huge , not sure but seems like they add a lot of baking soda into it!

The food was great, the portions were nice, and the service was very good. Price is a little bit higher than some other joints, so if you go here, it is a special event. This is not a quick and cheap Persian food place.

I love this place - its probably one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. On weekends they have live music and belly dancing. All of the kabab dishes Ive had are amazing.

Few items on the menu were good but others were average. Service wasnt up to the mark. We felt rushed from one course to another and the menu recommendations werent the best! Wont be visiting again!!
