If I had the option to give zero stars I would. Let me explain why. My husband and I just moved here about three weeks ago and have passed the sizzler a lot. Neither of us had eaten there before we figured new town, we should try a new place to eat out at. I really wish we would have read reviews before we tried it because that would have saved us some money and upset stomachs. It was different place that you order as soon as you get inside. I didnt like that personally, it was a new place so I felt rushed to pick something. I also didnt like that you didnt get to sit down and look at menus. So I ordered the half rack of ribs with mashed potatoes/gravy, and my husband ordered the terryaki steak and mashed potatoes/gravy. The drinks were a self serve soda fountain. It took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The staff and waitress were both friendly and nice. But that doesnt make up for the nasty food that we both got. My husband ordered his steak medium rare, it came out really pink which wasnt cooked like he ordered. My ribs were so fatty and falling apart. That is not how proper ribs should be cooked. They were so greasy and just plain disgusting. I barely had a few bites. The mashed potatoes were okay, but the gravy tasted like barbecue sauce. Which was so weird. The only decent part had to have been the rolls and butter. Needless to say the food for the most part was just plain horrible. No one apparently knows how to cook. I come from the south and that is not how barbecue should be done. Please take my advice if you dont want to waste your money and get sick. Never again will I go to sizzler.

Sickening.. get "Crystal" off the Register.. We were ordering our dinner while she was picking her teeth with her finger nail then proceeded to try and spit it out to one side..how disgusting...then she picked up drinking cups to give us with out order.. SERIOUSLY? SICK.....!!!! then I went and let her Manager know which she proceeded to try and give me an excuse as to why she was doing it.. REALLY!!? There is no excuse for this and to top it off, the Manager had told me that it was already taken care of.. HOW? I just now came to you about it.. and if it was already taken care of, then I am not the only one complaining about it.. THIS IS SICK!! on top of that CRYSTAL has a drink of her own next to the register and was sipping out of it and wiping her lips with her bare hands and still issuing drinks and handling customers credit cards and stuff.. I thought you wanted to keep customers not scare them away.. last time I eat there.. that place has gone to crap...

We are long time customers of this Sizzler, sometimes going once a week. They call it the redneck steak house and its casual but they know how to do cheap steak well - better than Christophers in Salt Lake who couldnt get a medium rare right! They have only messed up once in all of these years, they owned up and brought us another steak. The manager comes around to talk to you, the servers work so hard. The deals cannot be beat! Our whole family is happy. I love the salad bar because they have healthy options including avocados. This is a great place for the whole family. My only complaint is sometimes the floors are gross (they get slammed) and getting to the restroom is like going through a maze. You have to weave in and out of people to get to them if there is any line at all. Plus theyre really cramped. But please dont update them - we can deal with it. We want to keep the $9.99 steak and salad bar!

Sure has gone downhill lately. This is the only sizzler Ive been in that you have to get your own drinks. The salad bar was sparse, and what was in there was old and gross. My potato was burnt so bad it was black, and when I sent it back, I was brought another in the same condition. Apparently "thats just how they cook". Funny how Ive never seemed to be able to burn a baked potato like that. The waitress never came to our table, because there was really no need for her since we had to get our own drinks. Usually when a customer complains about the food, the manager comes over. The only time I saw the manager was when he was yelling at his staff. I love Sizzler, and will go to to another, but will never visit the one in Layton again!

Tiffany was our waitress on 6/30/17!! She was fantastic!! She never seemed bothered by our table! Our party was me, my husband and our 6 kids (9 yrs to 21 yrs)!!! She kept our drinks and the kids shrimp full! Always a smile!! The salad bar was fresh and eclectic which I loved! The only reasons why I didnt give 5 stars is because my 2 sons ordered medium steaks and it was cooked well done, and my teriyaki steak had way to much sauce!! I really didnt enjoy my steak! Thank goodness I also got the salad bar! I think I will bring my 9 year old for lunch and have the salad bar only. He loves tacos!! Again...Tiffany was fantastic

Not very good food here guys. Please dont waist your time. The only thing that wont empty your wallet is the snack bar. Thats even the worst part, the snack bar has some unbelievably gross food. The taco meat is just mush that has a very off taste. The other protein offers on the snack bar I didnt even want to touch. But hey... They have salad. Now their entrees are not as bad. Some pretty good food to offer. These entrees also come at a hefty price. Price not worth it for the quality. Should just take it down and put a Chuck-a-Rama. I mean sizzler is already used as if was a buffet anyway.

Where do I even begin! The prices are absolutely ridiculous for garbage food!!! My daughter had craft Mac and cheese that was dry! We got Malibu chicken with mashed potatoes that I am pretty positive were instant potatoes with instant gravy, the potatoes were hard and everything was cold. And to top it off for all three of us it was almost 50 bucks! Not worth a dime!!! Very unsatisfactory. I would have rather ate out of McDonalds garbage can! I wish I could rate minus stars! I literally could have bought the same meal from Walmart for Not even half the price Disgusted!

The food tastes good, place is clean BUT every time I order my stake rare its VERY well done. So I tried ordering it "still oozing blood from everywhere, like still with a pulse" and I got a steak with a very tiny bit of pink in the very middle. Im running out of adjectives to describe how rare Id like my steak to be. Id say 4 stars, but my husband is yelling at me something about CSI.... maybe next time, Ill take a picture with me :)
