Mixed feelings. Well stocked and clean. However, I had some trouble finding a few things. I guess lingering and circling back to aisles looked suspicious. Rather than asking me if I needed help someone was called to an aisle I was standing in - to watch me so I didnt steal anything. Really humiliating, which was probably the goal. I think asking "can I help you find something?" would have been a better move. I was dressed up to go to an event and was grabbing some last minute items I was asked to pick up. I suspect the loud announcement was just a matter of "lets pick on the fancy looking lady." Thats a shame. Id expect that in Honesdale but not Hawley. It makes me sad. I really liked this store before this. I wont be going back. They need to assist the customer first and then if it looks suspicious, THEN call so-called security. As I said, truly disappointing. I dont see it as being diligent. I see it as picking on a customer that someone at customer service had some kind of petty personal issue with.

This is a people oriented store that all the local people know and the people who visit from NY and NJ know will have the Boars Head, fresh Italian bread, bakery/cookies, slaw and potato salad, I get all my meats here, real butcher and perfect selection, also reasonable portions available, they sell smaller cuts so you dont waste as much unlike other stores that only sell bigger amounts (im talking Fresh made Italian sausage for around $2 !!), this is good for BBQs when i want a bigger selection. Produce is the only place i buy my apples and whatever else. Deli counter has Boars head, Land o Lakes, Cooper and also other not as common type of brands (Margarita Salami, a personal fav), fresh mozz, awesome salads... I could go on about how they support every local cause and are very much a part of the community, everyone knows the owners and their families and youre bound to become friends with the employees if youre not already. Cant say enough good things about Lake Region IGA.

Fresh butcher (not boxed beef). Produce could be better, onions sometimes a little soft. Needs to have leeks. No Newmans cereals. Boars Head is taking over the cheese gondola (not a good thing). However, friendly and helpful, good selection for a store this size, Enlarged once since we started shopping there and could stand to expand again and freshen up. Cashback limit too low. Did I say fresh butcher? Much better than the alternative in Hamlin.

I love the meats in IGA, especially the loose breakfast sausage with no chemical additives. The IGA brand herbs and spices are an excellent value. And IGA stocks most of the Litehouse brand of freeze-dried herbs. But most of all I love the staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Shopping at IGA feels more like shopping in a corner neighborhood store of 50 years ago than shopping in a 21st century supermarket.

IGA is the ONLY store that has a deli team that knows what I mean when I say "slice it thin" They are also the only store that carries Thumans roast beef & Hormel oval spiced ham ! Their bakery is great & they carry a big assortment of Italian cookies including Sesame Seed ! All the cashiers are friendly helpful & make you feel welcome.

Good local store. Gouges vacationers with pricing. Stopped plastic bag recycling - HOW DARE YOU SHOOK FAMILY! YOU CAUSE 99% OF PLAST POLLUTION IN THE AREA!!! I BUY 6 ITEMS AND GET 5 BAGS AND YOU DARE STOP RECYCLING! I WILL ASK FOR PAPER FROM NOW ON AND WILL CAMPAIGN FOR EVERYONE ELSE TO DO THE SAME.

Its literally the only place for miles, so theres really no competition. Whenever we go to the lake, I always stop at Wegmans to get meat/seafood, because I wouldnt touch anything they have here. They do have the essentials but steer clear of buying anything but.

Excellent meats and fish.Owners are very community minded and give back both in money and time. Store is clean and well stocked.If I cant find an item the staff is helpful and usually takes me right to it! The butcher is wonderful!

Great location. Great meats. More choices on fruit than Walmart. The deli is fresh. The choices are many and they are always stocked full. The cashiers and customer service representatives are excellent.
