Was staying at Vail and went here based on some positive reviews. Honestly, these people must have never had good Chinese food or the management changed at the restaurant. It was among the WORST meals I have ever had. I started with a simple hot & sour soup which tasted like it had been in the pot all day long- something in there tasted burnt. Then I tried a dish called Volcano Shrimp. I was expecting crisp, battered shrimp in a spicy sauce, as Ive had elsewhere. Instead, I got soggy shrimp in ketchup (no joke- I think they just added scallions to the ketchup). It was terrible, and the bed of brocolli it was supposed to be on wasnt even steamed or cooked. Would not recommend or go back. Theres something wrong with the star rating part of this program because even though I select 1-star, it gives this horrible restaurant 5!

Well, my only explanation for the food is that it is prepared by the off-duty ski instructor supplementing his income....What I can not explain is positive reviews here - take your guess where those come from... Finally, a note on prices: yes, it is overpriced by about 50-80% vis-a-vis a typical metropolitan area Chinese, but this is expected in Vail (most establishments here seek to provide a dining experience, not a dinner), but what is really bizarre is that May Palace crafted a special menu to be used for take-out which is about 10-15% *higher* priced than a in-restaurant prices- not that they bear any additional costs, since they dont deliver, relying instead on a pay-for delivery service - that is another 20% extra... Now, lets brace for more shill 5-star reviews....

i was there today, i was totaly ignored when i was sit, (there was a big crew in one table, i guess is where they have to have all the attention cause the posible big tips) i was about to leave the place when someone finally noted me, i ordered and they almost threw the plated to me, when i paid with my credit card i added 2dlls tip even though the service and food was horrible!! when i check my accout was charged 3 dlls instead 2 !!! IS NOT ABOUT 1 DLLR ,is about the abuse of this guys that i dont trust , very bad experience,.. about the food? thats another story, stay away from them and if you go there , check your account to make sure you were charge correctly

We read all of these reviews and went anyway. The food was absolutely wonderful. One dish was coconut curry with shrimp. The sauce was yummy and the shrimp big. Service was attentive, although they only brought out two dishes and we wanted a couple of minutes for the last entree. I noticed a lot of locals there and obviously repeat customers. We had a nice time. I would definitely go again. My brother thought the review about the rude waiter was questionable. It takes a lot to T-off a Chinese waiter. We found the wait staff very attentive.

I visit Vail every summer and have eaten here in the past. I was there last week and decided to get take out. I ordered lemon chicken and fried rice. The chicken looked and tasted like it had been cooked for a while and wasnt even warm. I ate very little and that was a good thing since I became violently ill within a couple of hours throwing up. My entree was $15 And the food poisoning was free! I will NEVER eat there again! Who wants to be sick on vacation ?

My husband and I live right down the street and we love going here! The food is NOT expensive, considering that youre in Vail. Dinner entrees can go from about 13-14 to 35 (but thats for an entire lobster!!) The best deal is lunch which comes with soup for 8 bucks. The food is great and worth every penny. I have never been disappointed here, and we go every week. If youre in town you have to try it!

We are from out of town so werent sure about the Chineese Food and Fusion Food choices in the area. Our family ordered several entrees and appetizers. Crab Rangoon, Egg rolls, Yellow coconut curry, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, lo mein, mala beef, and pork fried rice. Every single dish was delicious! We would definitely order here again!

I lived pretty cloes to May Palce for years, and used to go there all the time. In the last year or so I noticed that the food quality is getting worst. The other day I thought Ill give them another change, and food was disgusting. There are way way better places in Vail, stay away the food is terrible!

My past two, too go orders have been wrong. I asked specifically for the Wor Wonton Soup and paid for it and did not get it. Then specifically asked and confirmed tonight that I would get the Wor Wonton Soup and still did not get it. I am very very upset and will no longer patronize May Palace!

Outstanding Chinese option in Vail Valley and I highly recommend. All of the dishes Ive had here have been outstanding and well prepared. The Cashew Chicken and the Ginger Chicken are both excellent options. The serving sizes are large so be prepared to take home a to-go box.

This place is horrible. No effort is made to please the customer. Im a local and I strongly reccomend people DONT go here. Ten minute drive to Edwards is so worth it if you want good Chinese food. How this place is even is business baffles me.

Tried to use my dine in only coupon from the Vail Daily. They wouldnt honor even though it did not have an expiration date. Only saying they would not because it was winter. Henrys in Edwards is much better for the price anyways

Great lunch specials. Very popular with locals for take out. Pretty expansive menu selection, some good some items just ok. Usually not very busy during the day, but they do have a full bar and seating area with flat screens.

Accurate, fresh, great taste on a multitude of dishes. Our family of 7 was very, very satisfied. Bit on the pricey side, however it is Vail, and the food was excellent.

Everyone is there are assholes. The guy at the front is a dick and doesnt care about customers what so ever. Chicken is okay, heard Henrys is Avon is much better

Flavor is just ok. Many dishes seem to be extremely salty. This time the steamed dumpling were not very good...3 months ago they were quite tasty.

The owners Rick & Joyce are always welcoming and friendly. The food is great and the attention to sports in the bar is exceptional.

The bar always seems strangely busy for a place thats kinda out of the way. But, locals know they have good prices and tasty food.

Sometimes food and service is good, sometimes not. Inconsistent. Today the dining room smelled of cigarettes, very unpleasant.

Ended up eating here by default because every other restaurant was closed for the off season. Descent food, reasonably priced.

Food was par. Staff was friendly but did not know how to make the drink i ordered. Espresso martini was all vodka.

Inconsistent, but Probably the best Asian option around Vail. However, only average even on a good day.
