There is very little to enjoy at the Huddle House in Oneonta. For starters, you pass the fog of diesel smell from the numerous trucks outside, and enter the diner to recieve the death-stare from whomever is working the dreaded shift. Once you find a seat, or booth of your choice, its best to give it another good wipedown, due to the encrusted food matter from the previous meals before you. After about 10 to 15 minutes of waiting for a drink order, the haggard waitress approaches with a very uncheerful disposition. After a day of waiting for both drink and meals, you realize this is quite a hot-spot for either the prepubescent nobodies (drop-outs or noisy prom patrons) or the dusty all-America sex offenders of the surrounding counties (equipped with mid-day hangover and an attitude to boot). The small percentage of charm can be found in the juke box area, complete with every talentless artist only the unrefined of tastes can savour, and repeat. I will say one thing about the food, dont order it. The quality can be easily matched if you put an amphetamine addict at a grill and demand borderline dirt food. I personally enjoy a restaurant that I can order breakfast foods at any time of a 24 hour day, but this..this is not food. Its main purpose is the novelty of it all, certainly not the quality, which I suppose is why it is so convenient and enjoyed by the inebriated (and even sober) underage patrons. This place should be condemned.

A very bad experience that I wish I could give this place a no star these people dont deserve your money not only did it take a long time for them to get our food but by time we got the food one of the plates was badly cracked so we asked if they could put it on another plate so they re made the food and when they brought the food back and the food was not even fully cooked the eggs were runny the hashbrowns were not even cooked they said they would take it back and re cook it problem was we have already been there for a half an hr. The food was getting cold all these people were interested in was talking very loudly and laughing away instead of caring about there customers they got mold growing all over the ceiling you can see spider webs hanging on the ceiling it was just a horrible place

Went to huddle house this morning and was extremely disappointed. My main prob was one of the cooks she would rather sling her food around and act like a baby because its busy instead of take an extra half a second to make the food properly. Ive been working in the food business for a while and I know my managers would rather me take a little longer and make something nice and neat and the proper way rather have a customer be unsatisfied. I know I will not be coming back here again I would rather have waffle house

Waitress was friendly enough however.. I ordered my tea w/lemon as usual and was told they were out of lemons... Ok I can deal with that... Placed order for country fried steak and was told they were out of gravy so I asked about brown gravy for hamburger steak... Nope out of that too so no gravy for My Mans Biscuits either... Needless to say we paid for coffee and Tea and left... Obviously the manager needs to be doing a much better job!

I have had good and bad service and food through the years, but today was a bad experience. It was absolutely freezing in there. I am not a cold natured person by any means, so it was really cold. You could clearly see other customers were cold and one even said it. When I said something to my waitress, she ignored me. It only took a few minutes before my food was cold. Also, our grits were not done and runny.

Good deal IF u can find coupons to use otherwise not so much. Service varies greatly from stellar to being ignored at times. Taste and portions are good. $2 for a soda seems excessive. They DO NOT have Tabasco sauce so bring your own. Really only game in town for sit down Bfast unless u r more a fast food type.

Table was sticky...had to get up and ask someone to take our order. The staff was talking so loudly about their personal lives we couldnt even carry a conversation. Very loud staff that was more interested in their conversation than doing their job. Wish we had a decent place to eat at in Oneonta. :(

You get what you pay for. Food is generally greasy, but edible. Staff is mixed skills-some are really friendly....others are not attentive.
