My grandfather has the worst taste in restaurants. His criteria is that the ketchup that doesnt come from China, the food doesnt cost much, and that there are mashed potatoes on the menu. Went on a Sunday afternoon and they had the dining room packed like a sardine tin. We were sat right below the the loudspeaker that calls waitresses to different tables. I suppose it could be a good family restaurant, if you dont care to hear a word that your family says. It was way too noisy to carry on any kind of conversation, and the loudspeaker above startled my poor grandmother every time it came on. The waitress kept calling me "Honey," even though Im twenty years old. The food was interesting. They had more Mexican dishes than Greek dishes. I was displeased with the ravioli I asked for. It was obviously ordered frozen and heated up. The sauce tasted like Chef Boyardee. The cheese on top of the ravioli was good, but thats about it. I dont know where these positive reviews are coming from, but I was extremely disappointed with my dinning experience. But what do I expect from a restaurant with my grandpas slim criteria?

The Odyssey is dependable... in the sense that it never closes and theres always coffee. They have an impressively huge menu, although I rarely stray beyond breakfast and tuna croissant sandwiches, so I cant comment on the quality of more exotic fare. What I love most about the Odyssey is that it really is kind of designed for the older people whove lived in Menomonee Falls for decades and decades. There are lots of oversized floral patterns and overstuffed booths. The paintings on the windows are changed every few weeks. Entrees come with bread (extra crumbly), a soup/salad (chicken dumpling offered daily), and a dessert (and they provide, like, ten options, including tapioca pudding). Basically, it has the ambiance of a supper club with the convenience of an all-night diner. Brunches are busy. For everyones sake, please remember that you do not go to the Odyssey to complain about the service (the staff is always polite) or the food; it gives the place bad juju, which is simply inexcusable for this suburban rock.

I had a senior meal of the 8 oz sirloin steak. The steak was cooked perfectly, served with a few onion rings as garnish and sauteed mushroom that melted in my mouth. The seasoning was perfect. I had chicken dumpling soup that was excellent and the broth was not too salty. We were greeted with a smile when we arrived and quickly taken to our table. The chocolate cake I got for desert was to die for. We were given plenty of time to choose from the menu. We were never rushed. The senor menu is excellent. The hard part is that there are so ,any items to choose from. Pricing was excellent. My only regret is that they serve Pepsi products and I love coke. The only diet soft drink is a diet pepsi. My daughter doesnt know it yet but that is where we are going for dinner tomorrow night. I cant wait.

Overpriced for the cheap quality of food. I ordered a spinach pie dinner and the spinach pie tasted like it was sitting in a freezer for 9 months. They still charged me for the salad and french fries. My sons cheeseburger was mostly raw and the waitress literally hollered at me in the middle of the restaurant when I questioned my bill. The manager was equally loud and rude. This was supposed to be a wedding dinner for my brother and his new wife, and when they told the waitress, she laughed at them like a drunk and she made fun of them. My brother heard the staff talking about us rudely. I will NEVER EVERRRRR come here to Odyssey again. I will NEVERRRRRR recommend it to anyone. Overpriced, crap food and rude staff. If I could rate them zero stars I would.

Food portions were inconsistent. Hostesses are very rude. If your whole party is not all there. They will not seat those who are. We had Victor as our server today. We told him of our portion differences He said that he only takes the orders. Our request for it to be fixed was ignored. When we were seated at our table. He didnt introduce himself as our server. We confused him as a bus boy. He only asked us if we wanted coffee. We responded no. Them came back and askes if we would like water. We all did. After bringing the water I asked h to bring sodas for myself and husband.which he responded" I just got you water".

Yes, Dirty Dining was at Odyssey but the previous reviewer put the interview into their own words and ASSUMED the reason why they were not let into the kitchen was because "it was that bad" . I have been a customer at the restaurant many times and have received nothing but good food, prepared well, enough to take home for a second meal and great service! Perhaps if Dirty Dining would come into our own kitchens on a busy day, we would not receive a "blue ribbon" either! People would be shocked if they saw the kitchens of some very "high end" restaurants. Would they pass the Dirty Dining test? I wonder.......

My friend and I came in tonight and had dinner. I had Broasted Chicken and Fish with Hash Browns and Chicken Dumpling Soup. Outstanding! The Restaurant was incredibly busy and yet our wait wasnt long, and the food was hot and fresh! My friend had the Broiled Cod and Crab Sauce with Hash Browns and a Garden Salad. He said his fish would just melt in his mouth it was so good! Our server was Rachel. She is AMAZING! The place was packed and yet she made certain that all of her clients were well cared for and drinks were all promptly refilled. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Rachel and great food!

I was in there yesterday with my grandmother, we were in there for about 45 minutes. During this time there was a very loud waitress that talked to the table she was serving for the ENTIRE time we were there. My grandmother and I wanted to go out for a nice quiet lunch and that is not what we had. Besides that her burger was less then mediocre and my stuffed French toast was edible to say the least. But even after numerous looks the waitress behind us wouldnt stop talking loudly I could hear her from the bathroom while I was in there. I will not go outta my way to eat there ever.

I stopped in to eat a quick dinner on a Tuesday evening. The hostess was extremely rude to me and begrudgingly showed me to my table. She slapped the menu down on the table loudly and left. I asked my server, "Who is that person?" she said "Shes the owner, XXXXXX". I had ordered a soda hoping I would get over my irratation at such a rude person, but never did. I paid for my soda and left. I never ordered dinner. If you are a host you should at least be welcoming to your customers. I guess my moneys not green enough, so I will spend it elsewhere.

Have been here 100s of times over the years, NEVER again! Always have to bring "special food" with us for our special needs son, we have NEVER had a problem before. Last night the owner told us it was "inappropriate" to bring food into her restaurant from somewhere else. But because we already had it, shell allow it this one time. I highly recommend anyone that has a family member with special needs, you find somewhere else to go. Because the owners of this restaurant DO NOT cater to them!!!!!!!!
