Went there for breakfast last saturday, we had stayed for the weekend at a campground nearby. The food was mediocre at best. Got a ham and cheese omelet, home fries, and biscuit... it was the sorriest ham and cheese omelet i ever seen lol, very disappointing. It was okay taste-wise, nothing great but not horrible. I definitely think the cook needs to be taught how to make an omelet. My boyfriend got bacon, eggs, homefries, and a biscuit. The bacon was burnt on the edges and very well done thru the rest. Not good at all. You have a choice of homefries or hashbrowns.. both deep fried :( .. And the hashbrown is one of the types from like Mcdonalds, the patty type. Bleh. The biscuits seemed like mcdonalds also. I just thought everything would be fresh and homemade i guess, seeing the type of town the restaurant is in. Was very disappointed all around, except the waitress was very nice. Also took a fairly longer than usual amount of time to get our food. Then had to flag down the waitress to get her to bring our receipt so we could leave. Not sure if i will be stopping there on our next trip, most likely not tho.

The service is severely lacking and the food is edible-ish. I assume that the only reason this place is still open is the fact that there is no other restaurant in the immediate area that serves diner style food at inflated prices. We sat at a dirty table for ten minutes while the good ol boys that arrived after us were being taken care of. You missed out on a really good tip. Its worth a drive to go to another town, as good service can be found elsewhere. Shoddy. Piss poor and shoddy. Theres a palpable stare down from everyone in the establishment that reeks of disdain for people that werent born in the quaint little town of Waynesville. Its reminiscent of a scene from the movie Funny Farm. Absolutely laughable.

We love the all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs all day Saturday or the pork tenderloin sandwich any other day. The whole menu is perfectly simple and theres definitely something for everyone. Most of the servers have been there for a while and any given day theyre extending friendly welcome to new patrons or catching up with the regular customers. Be aware that they can be busy during peak meal times. They do have a parking lot but theres also plenty of street parking for all of the shops in the neighborhood. They sit right in the middle of downtown Waynesville so theres also plenty of cool little shops filled with vintage goods, handmade items, and one of the better-known attractions is Fabric Shack.

Food was good, but we waited over an hour for it to be served without explanation from the waitress. The restaurant did not seem full enough for this to have been an issue. Also, we had to prompt her to serve the salad that was ordered, after receiving the meal. This was the second visit. On the first visit, I was served a non-GF meal after specifying that I needed a GF menu and clarifying that the item I ordered was GF. Both times, the credit card reader was malfunctioning, and it took a while to just pay the bill. Make sure you have time to spend before going here!

Ordered the polish sausage and saurkraut special which was bland at best. The rye bread was good but that was the only good part of the meal besides my sons applesauce. The highchairs were dirty and the first one didnt have a working safety belt so I had to ask for another one. A $14.00 lunch and I couldnt choke down a 1/4 of it.

Nice looking place, but the small town atmosphere allows standards and staff behavior to suffer. Created by hosted that basically said here and walked away. Didnt offer high chair, and no welcoming attitude. Also, running vacuum while people eat right around table. Food didnt come out at same time. Not sure I will be back.

We usually LOVE this restaurant and stop in everytime we are in town. The food and service are always great. Today... Not so great. Dont know what was going on, but this is the first time we didnt have a great experience. All and all I highly recommend. Try the cream cheese veggie pizza it is amazing. We will be back.

We stood at the door here for 10 minutes with 2 other groups waiting to be seated during a very slow mid-morning service. There were several employees congregated behind the cash register and in the kitchen, but none were interested in seating any of us. All three groups eventually left after being ignored.

Had chicken stew in a bread bowl with peach cobbler. The chicken stew was very basic and quite bland. The bread bowl was fantastic. Peach cobbler was obviously canned peaches and a soft, not crunchy topping. Staff extremely friendly and quick. Atmosphere was very nice, but the food was underwhelming.

This is a great down home restaurant that serves very reasonably priced American comfort food. Entre hot plates with 2 sides and home made bread range $9 to 13. Had a variety of homemade desserts and pies. Not a fancy place but plenty of good food, table service and a low price.

Food here was not bad, but not the best. Some things are cookie cutter or obviously frozen from GFS, but not surprising. If youre looking for some warm food with a pretty diverse selection this place has it. Daily specials and friendly staff make the place worth returning

Took a while to get drinks. Other table who came in 10 minutes after us got their drinks before we even ordered them. Food was mediocre. Heard they do not label food, which is a blatant health code violation. Only plus is its the traditional Waynesville restaurant.

Passing thru from Indiana to Renaissance Festival. Found this GEM of a restaurant! Meatloaf bigger than my head! Homemade bread! Nanner cream pie to die for! Friendly service! Left the restaurant swollen up like a tick on Dracula! Dont pass this place up!
