My husband and I decided to go there for dinner. It was about 7:45 and they closed at 9:00 so we thought that was plenty of time. The server was very friendly. We waited for over 30 minutes for our meals! When the food finally did come, my husbands was completely wrong! He had ordered a 3 course wildfire chicken entrée and they brought him a salad!?! The waitress was very apologetic and said it was her fault and that she would have them make the correct entrée. After that, she avoided us like the plague! So my food got cold waiting on my husbands, I was never given a refill on my drink, and it took another 15 minutes for them to remake his entrée. During this time, all off the other customers had finished and left. We were the only ones left in the restaurant. The place was a mess, and nobody was cleaning anything up. All the staff members were sitting around and playing on their phones, making comments to each other and giving us dirty looks because they wanted to go home. At that point we were very uncomfortable and decided to just take everything to go. The manager never came over, so I requested to speak to him. He looked like he was about 15 years old. We explained what happened and he said that he would comp my husbands entrée...but that was it. We were very disappointed. We were hoping to have a nice dinner together, but instead just sat there for over an hour and ended up being awkwardly rushed out by a bunch of rude teenagers. Horrible service, will not be back to this location!

Summer 2017: Below, youll see a post from fall of 2016. Since then, circumstances have warranted the need to return to take out akin to types of meals cooked at home vs fast food. I was wary about returning to Bob Evans given the nature of the circumstances that drew me there; however, I was pleasantly surprised. Staffing was PERFECT (number present per guests in house and buying take out), food was prepared well and no shortages (common in mismanaged eateries) and all staff was friendly, calm and well - mannered. None appeared harried or stressed! Thanks for making improvements because weve always loved coming to this restaurant. Food was fine but severely understaffed. Wait time for takeout was FOR-EV-ER, but the good news is, the staff present remained upbeat AND polite!

I do not know what has happened to this restaurant ! The service is EXTREMELY SLOW , no one seems to care about the customer anymore . Food sat on the pass thru bin for about 10 minutes before it was picked up . Cold food is not very appetizing ! Employees were walking around like they had no care in the world and were not sure what to do next ! NO HOSTESS, put my own name on the list since no one was there for over 5 minutes . After 15 minutes waiting with no acknowledgement , we left for the third time in 2 weeks . THIS RESTAURANT WILL CLOSE UNLESS SOMETHING IS DONE SOON !

This place was so filthy, it looked like we just missed a food fight. Also, the wait staff seemed to have totally lost all desire to be there. We were one of 6 tables seated and I could see the pass, where our food sat for quite some time while our waiter was MIA. The manager eventually noticed the food sitting there and decided to bring it himself. The "icing on the cake" was being asked 3 or 4 times if we wanted refills on our drinks, but never having them arrive. Luckily, the food was prepared well and of a quality one would expect from a national chain restaurant.

I love going to this Bob Evans! Its not that they have outstanding food (its the same as all Bob Evans) but I love the service/ employees. There are two male managers that work there who have EXCELLENT customer service skills. They take their jobs seriously and it is reflected in the way they interact with customers and employees. The morale is always good and the environment positive. The other establishments around here on Pendleton Pike dont always have the best service so I like supporting the ones who do.

I always have a wonderful time at Bob Evans the food is go the service is just immaculate what can I say that Ive never had a bad meal there yet and then they have so many choices I just cant say enough good things about it because Ive never had a bad experience at Bob Evans they keep your just like your cousin never goes dry look up a call for you or so little for that matter and the food is really good and the atmosphere is very good so I would highly recommend it

We arent expensive, fancy restaurant people. Bob Evans on Pendleton Pike in Lawrence IN is our go-to restaurant. Our food is always just the way we expect it. Our favorite server, Marquee, was recently promoted. While we miss him, his promotion is well deserved. His brother, Justin, has now become our favorite server. The two are super nice young men, who take pride in their work and are family oriented.

We stood at the hostess stand for 10 min without even an acknowledgment. Meanwhile the hostess (if you call her that), stood behind the counter and stared at us the whole time, while talking to her friends/co-workers. Obviously seeing we werent going to be taken care of, we left. Probably not going to ever return! We went across the street to Applebees, where we were seated immediately.

I received bad service over the telephone. The person didnt seem like they were interested in their job or helping me with my order. Their tone sounded rude and uncaring. When I arrived, I was not greeted and my sausage patties were burnt. I had to ask many times for things such as paper napkins, plates, and forks. I would not recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

I ate at this restautant about a month ago and I wont go back for awhile. What happened to the great food and service of a few years ago? The place was not that crowded. I watched the manager standing around as food piled up in the window. When food was delivered it was cold and not that good. The waitress was very non- congenial. Not a place I will patronize again!

The food is usually adequate for a Bob Evans chain. The management and staff are below par. Food came out cold, under cooked, over cooked, missing items, never an offer of a refill... when we asked the waiter to let us speak with the manager we never saw him again... well we saw him he just ignored us. This place is not concerned with its customers.

Eat here occasionally with my family. Food is always very good, and the servers are pleasant. I cant remember what our last servers name was, but she was great. Definitely had a good personality for dealing with people frequently, and was comfortably attentive. BTW, the post roast is succulent. That is all.

Service was very lacking. Some did t get drinks, some didnt get the right good, coffee was cold, didnt get soup with their salad and no crackers given to those who had salads and took over an hour to get our food . I reported this to the mgr.

This one time this Bob Evans had an endless Soup and Sandwich deal going on. About 10 of us work showed up. Not sure how they made any money that day but they had endless patience with us and the food was delicious and service was great!
