Returned for lunch again after having great food and service on 21 July. The restaurant was nearly empty at 2 pm and the only other table departed about 10 minutes after we arrived. Service was less than adequate or efficient, despite three servers wandering around, texting or standing at their stations. We had to ask for everything, beverage refills, ground pepper and correct menus. The host provided half our group with the dinner menu and half with the lunch menu. The kitchen workers had constant traffic through a rear door. Two men in whites were observed spending a significant time outside, holding the rear door open. Along with the entry of other workers, it provided us with a sufficient numbers of flies for our entertainment. I believe we had one kill and numerous misses. We ordered a pizza as an appetizer and asked if the crusts were prepared fresh. The server advised "everything is fresh." The crust was dry and unappetizing. It was noted the cook took a preprepared crust from a large plastic bin of pizza crusts and dressed it. The server later advised this was necessary because they prep the number they anticipate using for the evening. She seemed to contradict everything she said when initially questioned. I had the same fettucini ordered in July. This time there was no fresh basil, tiny bits of proscuitto there were over cooked and sun dried tomatoes were mere tiny, dried bits. The sauce previously served was a rich butter sauce, this time it was comparable to a jarred cream sauce. While the servings were more than generous, it was poorly plated and lacked quality. The shrimp served with it were overcooked and lacked any flavor. After asking two employees for our server, she returned with the check. We advised we would like to order dessert. The lemon cake was ice cold and dry. It had a raspberry sauce that tasted like it came from a jam jar. The server told us after we commented that "things are slow, so we dont serve as many as in the summer, so it has probably been around for a few days." Not a pleasant experience for the prices charged. This place is now a toss up for a return visit as it has become unpredictable.

Although the opening was delayed by several months, the overall atmosphere and decor of RBT&G is well worth the wait. The renovations to the building are beautiful, but not quite finished with a full sports bar addition being added to the downstairs later this summer (which will only be a bonus to the incredible atmosphere that currently exists). My wife and I stopped in a few days prior to the grand opening, had a drink, and shared an appetizer (calamari). Premium beer tap prices were very reasonable (hacker pschorr was $3.88, which I thought was kind of a weird price), but the food is a little on the higher end which is an even trade for the atmosphere of the restaurant. We were a little disappointed in our calamari, which had delicious breading and terrific presentation, but was pretty chewy and contained little crispy/burnt calamari rings similar to what youd find in the bottom of a large McDonalds fry box. The hostess staff was super friendly, and answered all of the questions that I had (I had lots of questions). The wait staff was fair, but missed a few details like providing plates for the shared appetizer, or napkins/flatware. To be fair, you could probably attribute this to the fact that it was only the third night that the restaurant had been open - which does not come without flaw. Overall, I am excited to head back soon and hopefully many times after that. Lake Geneva needed a chill, smokeless (thank God) spot that you could watch flat-screens from while sipping reasonable priced beer (which is the true spirit of Wisconsin, and separates us from those horrible Cubs fans that wear high heels to Wrigley and pay $8 a beer outside of the park). I just hope that my first full meal is a step up from the Calamari, or I might just have to go for the beer after that. Braun, if youre reading this, do your thing on the field brother! Bring your boys Fielder, Hart and the rest of the crew down to LG occasionally and your place will see some steady business (which is a tough thing to do in LG outside of the summer months).

My husband (and family!) cant say enough good things about Tuscan. We got married in Lake Geneva on Oct. 22, 2016 and chose Tuscan for our rehearsal dinner spot. While deciding if we wanted to go with them, we had some appetizers and cocktails and talked to the manager, Jimmy, who was a complete sweetheart. He totally sold us on the place by being so welcoming, offering to host the dinner in our own private space (the cool basement dining area) and making the whole process sound easy. And now having been through the process with him, I can confidently say it was as easy as he made it out to be. Tuscan took care of everything. All I had to do was call the week of the wedding to let them know what we had chosen to put on our dinner menu and they literally took care of everything. The prices were affordable -- especially if you consider the great quality of food youre getting. We had a dedicated bartender who was so charismatic and really made the night special. Our servers were also fantastic. Professional, efficient and really friendly. I had made a video for my husband as a surprise and they let us set up a big projector with a sheet on the wall to watch the video. It was a total success. The entire process of working with Tuscan from beginning to end was a dream come true, which is so nice to say, given a stressful wedding weekend with a lot of visiting family and friends to keep happy! I would recommend them in a heartbeat and I honestly cant wait to go back there for dinner.

My family and I decided to try this place on a whim and were glad we did. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. I tried the bone-in ribeye steak that was on special. The meal came with a side salad (soup is also an option) that didnt look particularly interesting, however, the greens were fresh and flavorful. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered and tasted great. The roasted veggies that came with the dish were also very good. The potato was prepared well, but could have been a little fluffier. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My son ordered the tortellini alfredo without the alfredo sauce and dried tomatoes. The special order came without hitch. My daughters "kids" single serving pizza was larger than expected. For you beer lovers, they serve New Glarus brews. By the bottle, mind you, but still great beer. I would give five stars except for the fried calamari appetizer. It was $14 and I have had as good, if not better, Calamari for half the price. I highly recommend this place, but be prepared to open your wallet!

The restaurant was empty when we got there; and that was great. For a birthday dinner it was cool for me and my girlfriend to just eat and talk in peace. Anyway...I got the Grilled Strip and Shrimp & she got the Surf and Turf. The plates were loaded with food, meat cooked right, and the seafood taste great. The waiter was very knowledgable and polite. Considering we got steak and seafood the bill was high but for a "once in a while" meal; it was great. I would so go back next time Im in town. You cant listen to every review you see because some people are so picky about everything. Also we went at 4pm on a Tuesday afternoon. So the weekends Im assuming would be busier. Ps...The three chocolate cake was awesome as well. I read a review earlier about dont order it. But if you have a sweet tooth and love chocolate; Id definitely recommend.
