Pollo Campero is a Latin restaurant, which I enjoy a lot. I love the way they prepare their chicken and my favorite is their Campero Salad. Usually drive to Elizabeth to eat at their restaurant as a treat. In that location it is very homely and the portions are big, and if your willing to wait you can get a freshly prepared batch of chicken. This one particular day I was being lazy and went to their Plainfield location. The worst thing to do!!!! The Plainfield location was disgusting and the person who took my order rushed through the transaction and made errors. I was pissed and I made the vow to only visit the Elizabeth location.

This place has history. It used to be in Queens. However, they were not doing much business there. Mr. Chungs workers - mostly Hispanics - used to talk to him about traveling from Plainfield to Queens just to buy Pollo Campero. Some people, like my fiancee, had it sent from Guatemala. To make it short, Mr. Chung bought the place and brought it to Plainfield. The chicken is tasty. My father loves it. I highly recommend it.

Food is always excellent. It was end of night so the restaurant was not the cleanest but customer service was great. I gave it 4 stars because I could not get their app to work so I could order online.
