Well, this food was basically inedible. I ordered chicken chow mein, wonton soup, General Tsos chicken, and egg rolls. The only thing that had any flavor was the gelatinous mass they called a sauce on the General Tsos, but it didnt taste appropriate. It wasnt spicy, and it seemed that whoever was cooking the food forgot entirely that salt is most often a necessary ingredient. The only things in the entire meal that were good were the won tons, though the broth itself tasted like hot water. Literally no flavor. So I ate won tons and threw the broth out. The chow mein had no flavor. Greasy noodles with chicken that was fried, but not in any kind of sauce, that I could sense. No salt, no pepper, no ginger, no garlic; there was literally no flavor. Inedible. I tried to order dumplings, or potstickers, as they call them. I was told it takes 30 minutes to make them, plus they were all out. The guy taking my order basically told me not to bother. I was told it would take 45 minutes to deliver. After an hour with no food delivery, I called asking where my food was. They told me they had to cook a dish twice because they had screwed something up in the ingredients, and yet the person on the phone with me acted as if it were my fault that 1) they screwed it up and 2) they were then late and 3) I was definitely irrationally angry because everyone knows when you say 45 minutes, you definitely dont mean it. (Read part 3 in a voice dripping with sarcasm, please.) In all, I will never, never, ever order from them again. Im flabbergasted that they have so many high reviews. I can only assume that the people who reviewed them so favorably are either relatives, investors, or people who have never had a proper Chinese meal in their lifetimes. PS What type of Chinese restaurant has never heard of lo mein? Seriously, Im flabbergasted.

With the reviews for this restaurant, I was expecting it to be wonderful. However, that is not what we found. My daughter and I went for the lunch buffet and it was terrible. The service was okay; staff was friendly but not once was my drink refilled and I was never asked if I wanted something other than water so I eventually got up and got it myself. The rice was so crunchy even my daughter (who isnt old enough to know any better yet) wouldnt eat it. The made to order food (as it was passing by) looked like it may be better. If I were you, Id try that before the buffet first. This is somewhere we will not be going again and its unfortunate because its the closest Chinese restaurant to us.

I usually dont like Chinese food, but I wish I could eat here every day. This is one of the best restaurants in Silverdale, and probably in Kitsap. The staff is so nice and makes me feel very welcome. They are so affordable, my partner and I usually get the Dinner 2 option with fried rice, almond chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. We always have leftovers, so its like four meals for 25 dollars. I also always order the cream cheese wontons, they are such a good appetizer and a guilty pleasure. Portions are great for sharing and taking home leftovers (which still taste good the next day). All around great food and great dining experience!

We just had Mandarin Chinese (Silverdale) for the first time and it was delicious. We ordered four entrees, two large soups and some appetizers and we could not believe it when it arrived to our home in a big box. We were so used to getting very little food so we ordered more just in case but one soup alone could feed 3-4 people easily. The containers were stuffed full of food and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh and very very hot. We will defiately be going here from now on.

My husband and I tried the sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken from here (take out). The food was good and came with a lot, but I didnt care for the vegetables that came with the sweet and sour chicken. It gave the chicken a weird taste (Im one of those people that dont like my food to touch). The orange chicken came with orange pieces too, which I thought was unnecessary as well. I havent found a better chinese restaurant in the area, so will probably be back.

I have enjoyed dining at Mandarin for over a dozen years now. There is no better Chinese restaurant on this side of the sound, and I have tried so many here. The staff is friendly and the food has consistently been delicious. When dining in, it has a cozy yet atmospheric ambiance. "Uncle Chens" specials are a treat. The prices are very affordable. I can count on Mandarin for a satisfying meal whether I want to dine-in or take out. Highly Recommended.

The food was extremely bland. We got the broccoli beef and General Tso chicken (which was NOT spicy) I was extremely disappointed. .the egg rolls however were AWESOME!.. We are new to the area and thought we would go based on the reviews. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT! JUST WISH THE FOOD HAD SOME FLAVOR :( SAD WE SPENT $27 ON DINNER AND IT ENDED UP IN THE TRASH :(

We called in a takeout order. They told us it would be 20-30 minutes. 45 minutes later it still wasnt ready. When we got home the Sesame chicken had a mound of sesame seeds on top and the chicken was really poor quality without much breading. The portions were large but I would have prefered small quantities and better quality.

Been a customer here for years. The food is generally very tasty. Except last time we ordered a week ago we found a staple in our wonton soup. A staple. Will not be eating here again. Too bad because Silverdale is the boonies and there are no other decent chinese places around.

Consistently good food and personal service. I have eaten here for over 25 years. Benny is a wonderful host and business owner. His staff are genuinely concerned that you have a good experience here. The twice cooked pork is great and the lunch buffet is a fab deal.

This is my go-to for Chinese. More limited but MUCH higher quality lunch buffet. Everything is hand made, and the success dont just taste like salt and sugar. Although higher quality is also cheaper than most and you get a pot of green tea.

I am willing to drive from Fort Lewis to Silverdale just to eat their Pot Stickers, Hot and Sour Soup, and just about every other menu item they have! They are by far the best Chinese restaurant I have found in Western Washington!!

We love this place. Weve tried a number of other chinese/ terryoke/etc places on the peninsula and nothing is better! If you know somewhere then speak up! Very good food here, they are very friendly, and just nice overall.
