Love this place. Were regulars, and the service and food is always good. The only time Ive had slow service was when I ate there about a week ago at lunch on a Tuesday -- normally a slow day, so they had one waitress, the owner, and the chefs. The waitress was handling things fine, and then a group of about 10 people showed up for a business lunch. It was quickly apparent from their (loud) conversation and complaints that they had not called ahead to reserve a table or warn the small, family-owned restaurant they would be dining there. They became impatient with the waitress not jumping to their snapped fingers and raised hands, and complained to the owner. I almost cheered when the owner politely informed those rude diners that as they had not notified the restaurant ahead of time, they were short-staffed -- however, another waitress would be arriving soon, and in the meantime they had other patrons who were waiting. Then, as my husband and I were standing in line to pay after a lovely meal, the business group began trickling up and walking past the others patrons to slap their receipts down and pay. The restaurant is great. I wish I knew what business those jerk diners represented so I could avoid them, though.

The sushi chefs are outstanding here! They offer delicious food with a delightful presentation, always! The portions are very satisfying, and ordering a side of steamed vegetables is a tasty and light option, if youre less familiar with sushi and uncertain whether youve ordered enough to be satiated. My two favorite items on the menu are sake (salmon) sashimi and masgo (smelt roe) nigiri, but theres something here for everyone, including vegetarian/vegan options. Even more conservative pallets (children with particular tastes, anyone?) will probably love gyoza (pan-fried dumplings) and teriyaki chicken or beef. Every meal starts with a soothing, yummy bowl of miso soup, which is a treat for folks of ages! The service is excellent as well! Everyone who works at Koibito is kind and warm. Between the pleasant atmosphere, fantastic food, and wonderful staff, every visit feels special.

Great food, great music, great staff, great atmosphere, great decor, and, in addition to being great, all those things are fun! If you havent been here, Id certainly suggest giving it a try. Even their $6 teriyaki chicken, rice, and vegi bowl is really tasty! Ive heard some of my favorite Korean music here, and they even played one of the Naruto theme songs! How fun is that?! If you dont like that sort of music, they dont play it loud, so you can just sit far away from the speakers, hehe. Anyway, yep, Koibito is one of my favorite places, and its much better than the West Olympia Koibito. The beef yakisoba is delightful, too!

We were charges gratuity while eating with our children who were small. We dine out pretty frequently as a family and this has never happened. Our kids are well behaved and clean up after themselves so we were very surprised to have an additional $18 on our bill which stated it was a dinner but was explained to us was gratuity. The sushi rolls were sloppy and fell apart and the teriyaki tasted like it had been made early and sat all day, very dry. Not impressed, wont be back.

Bad,bad, bad service. We sat waiting for service for 10 minutes. People all around us were waiting. A couple next to us waited 5 mins for forks for there salad. The girl servers kept walking by. The lack of service was horrible in the whole restuarnt. When we were walking out the guy at the sushi bar said thank you. They have no clue what was going on there. So glad we left we would have been there for hours. Dont go trust me. Unless you dont care about waiting forever.

Pretty decent prices and relatively consistent sushi. Might be the only place in town that sells Bluefin Tuna and Fatty Tuna. If you havent had those, its worth the trip! Super friendly family staff. Gabis comic shop is right around the corner so we usually drop in for lunch and then walk over for comic book adventures.

Sushi was good. Service could be improved. Ordered appetizers, tempura and sushi. The food was all good, but the service was not equal. We had to wait too long for our 1st round and then on the second round they brought the wrong drinks back. Lastly we had to wait too long for our check even after asking for it.

Jerry, Kim and the entire crew are great! They make the best sushi in Olympia... I would argue its some of the best sushi I have ever tasted! Lots of variety too! I like sushi , but every once in a while I like some good old fashioned Chinese sweet and sour chicken... They have that too!! I just love it!

I waited an hr and a half for for 4 simple sushi rolls, and was given a bullshit excuse my wait was because I ordered an EGG ROLL as an appetizer, I watched 4 tables who came in after me receive tea, appetizers and extravagant sushi platters, I will never return to this establishment.

Sushi is always amazing and fresh. Great selection of rolls. The only good sushi place in Lacey imo. Great selection of other food, and everyone in the family can find something they want to eat. Staff are awesome, friendly, and know their stuff. Always a great place for dinner.

Im pretty sure this is near Fred Meyer, if so, very good teriyaki chicken, and amazing shrimp tempura sushi, the California rolls werent that great, but it is great food over all. They have a good variety of sushi though. Pics are of food already partially eaten.

Their roll combos are a good deal, but Ive definitely had better sushi. The taste is inconsistent, and they add something weird to the fake crab mix that Im not fond of. For the price its ok, but Im disappointed that there isnt better sushi in the area.

I come here with my friends all the time, the staff are really super friendly and feel like family. The food is excellent and unique to this restraunt. I went to the other Koibito sushi restaraunts in the area and they were nothing like this one.

All you can eat sushi for $29.99 Monday-Thursday. There sushi is fresh and you can watch it being made if you sit at the bar area. They also offer other menu items like Chicken Teriyaki, Sweet and Sour Chicken.

The sushi is fresh and made to order. The prices are average to good. The staff is amazing, friendly, and completely willing to work around food allergies. I couldnt say enough nice things about koibito!!

I paid about $10 for overcooked, soggy veggies that were swimming in oil and "teriyaki" chicken that tasted like it was really just chicken drenched in soy sauce. Nearly inedible. I wont be returning.

Fabulous Sushi! Fresh, colorful and vibrant. If fish isnt your thing, try the Teriyaki Steak. Its tender strips of flank stank cut across the grain with a sweet teriyaki sauce. Wicked good!

They gave my credit card to another patron 40 minutes after we asked for the check. Inattentive service otherwise. Drink never refilled and hard to flag down. Good food, terrible service.
